It is not intended to be used in the following applications, and the guarantee will not apply for
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

- Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories from the inside and the outside of the appliance.
- Fully unwind the power cord.
- If the appliance is used in the centre of the table, keep it out of the reach of children.
- To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or against a wall.
- Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface such as a tea-towel.
- If an extension cord is used, make sure to choose one of equivalent diameter with an earthed socke
• Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket. - Position the cord carefully, whether an extension
is used or not, so that guests can move freely around the table without tripping over it.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance.
- Only the appropriate connector must be used.
- Dot not use aluminium foil or other objects between the plates and the food being cooked.
- Do not remove the grease collection tray while cooking. If the grease collection tray becomes full when cooking: let the appliance cool down before emptying.
- Do not immerse the plug-in connector with power cord in water.
- The connector must be removed before the appliance is cleaned and the appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again.
- This appliance can be used by children aged


from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

Your Plancha is an appliance with a wide range of uses: as well as healthy, tasty mixed grills that you can cook without fat, your Plancha is also perfect for specialities such as the Japanese dish teppanyaki or American-style breakfasts with fried eggs and bacon, as well as the famous pancakes or tortillas.
Prevention of accidents at home
- For a child, even a slight burn may sometimes be serious. As they grow up, teach your children to be careful around hot appliances in the kitchen.
- If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water and call a doctor if necessary.
Assembly
Before first use
- Clean the body of the appliance (1) and the drip tray (2) (follow the instructions in the paragraph “After use”).
- Put a little cooking oil on the plate and then wipe it with an absorbent kitchen towel.
- Place the base of the appliance (1) on a clean flat surface.
- Insert the drip tray (2) into the appliance - A.
Connection and preheating
- Place on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Set the thermostat of the plug-in connector to mini.
- Connect the plug-in connector to the pins of the appliance's element (3) and then connect the cord to the main socket - B.
- If the plug-in connector is not plugged in correctly the safety system will not allow the appliance to function.
- The orange indicator comes on to show when the appliance is switched on. The orange indicator always stays lit while the appliance is plugged in.
- Pre-heat the appliance for about 10 minutes on position 5.
Cooking
After preheating, the appliance is ready to be used.
- Set the thermostat to the desired position facing the orange light.
- Leave to cook depending on your taste.
After use
- Set the thermostat to the mini position (according to the model).
- Unplug the cord from the main socket and then remove the plug-in connector from the appliance.
- Allow the appliance to cool.
- Clean the base of the appliance (1) and the drip tray (2) with a sponge, hot water and washing-up liquid.
Storage
- The appliance may be stored vertically - D - E - F.
Never use the appliance when it is empty. On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the first few minutes. In these cases open the window and wait until there is no more smoke or odour. Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals which have a particularly sensitive respiratory system, such as birds. We advise bird owners to keep them away from the cooking area.
Never cut directly on the appliance.
To avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the cooking plate, always use plastic or wooden utensils.
Do not place cooking utensils on the cooking surfaces of the appliance.
Do not touch the metal parts of the appliance when it is heating or operating, as they are very hot.
At the end of cooking, the appliance is hot: handle it with precaution.
Do not place the cooking plate under water or on fragile surface when the appliance is hot.
Do not use a metallic sponge or scouring powder.
The base of the appliance is dishwasher safe.
The plug-in connector can't go into the dishwasher.
