How to install the Kappa 6125M speaker?

Installation requires qualified experience. Apply the self-adhesive foam gasket onto the structure, mount the speaker into the opening using the included screws, then connect the positive and negative wires to the amplifier outputs respecting polarity.

How to connect the RGB LEDs?

Connect the 0.205 mm² LED wires (black +, blue, green, red) into the included female connector. Connect the connector to a 12 V power supply or compatible lighting controller. For direct wiring, connect the black wire to the positive terminal (+) and the individual R, G and/or B wires to the negative terminal (-) to obtain 7 different colors.

What is the impedance of the speaker?

The nominal impedance is 3 ohms. Due to this low impedance, it is not recommended to wire two or more speakers in parallel to avoid amplifier overheating.

Can I use this speaker outdoors or in a marine environment?

Yes, the Kappa 6125M is a marine speaker designed to withstand outdoor conditions. It comes with a foam gasket for water protection and acoustic sealing.

How to remove the tweeter?

Use the included 2-pin tool. Place the pins into the holes of the tweeter grille and turn 45 degrees clockwise to loosen and remove it.

What amplifier power is recommended?

The continuous power handling is 100 W and peak power is 300 W. An amplifier delivering between 50 and 200 W RMS per channel is ideal to exploit performance without risk of damage.

Can I connect multiple speakers in parallel?

No, due to the 3 ohm impedance, connecting two or more speakers in parallel would reduce the impedance to a very low level (1.5 ohms or less), which can cause overheating and damage to the amplifier. Use a series configuration or a multi-channel amplifier.

How to clean the speaker?

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface. Avoid abrasive products or solvents. Ensure water does not penetrate internal components.

What tools are needed for installation?

Included tools: a 2-pin tool for tweeter removal, mounting screws, quick connectors, and a self-adhesive foam gasket. You will also need a screwdriver and possibly a drill to make the mounting hole.

This manual describes general installation guidelines. However, please note that proper installation of marine audio components requires qualified experience. SPEAKER SIGNAL WIRING

To send signal to the Infinity marine speaker, connect the positive (+) and negative (-) speaker wires to the appropriate speaker outputs of your source unit or amplifier. Be sure to observe proper polarity.

SPEAKER LED WIRING

To provide power for the LEDs, plug the 24-gauge black (+), blue, green, and red LED wires from the speaker into the included female connector, then run the wires from the female connector to your compatible 12-volt power source or light controller (sold separately). If using a separate controller, be sure to connect each wire to the proper output.

If hardwiring the LEDs directly to your power source, you can choose the color of the LEDs by connecting the black wire to the positive (+) terminal, and the appropriate R, G, and/or B single wire or combination of wires to the negative (-) terminal.

There are 7 possible colors, depending on the wiring configuration you choose:

APPLYING FOAM SEAL

To help seal your installation against water, and to provide an airtight acoustic seal, apply the self-adhesive foam seal to the speaker frame.

MOUNTING THE SPEAKER

Use the included screws to mount the speaker to the location. Use the included speed clips if necessary to provide a secure mount.

NOTE: Use caution when cutting and using screws with fiberglass to prevent scratches and cracks.

REMOVING THE TWEETER FOR SEPARATE MOUNTING (KAPPA 8 ONLY)

Use the included 2-pin tool to remove the tweeter from the woofer housing. Place the pins of the tool in the holes of the tweeter grille and rotate 45 degrees clockwise to loosen and remove.

FLUSH-MOUNTING THE TWEETER

Place the tweeter in the mounting bracket and use the tool to secure by turning 45 degrees counter-clockwise.

To transmit audio signal to the tweeter, make sure the woofer and tweeter are connected with the included cable.

Place the tweeter in the mounting location, then turn each setscrew clockwise to tighten mounting brackets. Use caution so as not to overtighten. Snap the included outer ring over the mounting bracket to hide the setscrews.
