• The power cord must never be close to or in contact with hot parts of the appliance, rotating parts, close to a source of heat or resting on sharp edges.
• Never place the appliance below or close to easily inflammable objects (e.g. curtains, etc.).
• Never disconnect the plug by pulling on the power cord.

try to extinguish flames with water. Disconnect the appliance and smother the flames with a wet cloth.

• Allow the appliance to cool down completely before you clean and store it.
• Never move the appliance as long as it is hot.
• Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories from the inside and the outside of the appliance.
• Fully unwind the power cord.
• If the appliance is used in the centre of the table, keep it out of the reach of children.
• To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or against a wall.
• Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture etc.) or on a soft surface such as a tea-towel. Always place on flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from water splashes and any sources of heat.
• If an extension cord is used, make sure to choose one of equivalent diameter with an earthed socket.
  • Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
• Position the cord carefully, whether an extension

is used or not, so that guests can move freely around the table without tripping over it.

- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

- Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance.

- Do not immerse the control panel and the power cord in water.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

Prevention of accidents at home

• For a child, even a slight burn may sometimes be serious. As they grow up, teach your children to be careful around hot appliances in the kitchen.
• If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water and call a doctor if necessary.

Assembly

• Use only the lid (1) with the pot (3) and the support stand (4).
• Ensure that the lid is secure, stable and fitted correctly onto the appliance - C - D.
• Use only the pot provided with the appliance or provided by the manufacturer or its service agent.
• Place the base of the appliance on a flat, stable heat-resistant surface.

Using

• Plug the appliance into a socket.
• Turn on the appliance by pressing the On/Off switch: the light switches on - F.
• Before using for the first time, wipe over the pot using kitchen paper towel dipped in a little cooking oil. Remove any surplus oil using clean kitchen paper towel.
• To prevent damage to the pot, only use it on the appliance for which it was designed.
• The pot can be used on all kinds of stove tops except induction - I - and pay attention to the Thermo-Spot®.
• Never use the plastic lid* (2) when the pot is hot.
• If the lid is not fitted correctly, the safety system does not allow cooking to start.
• To avoid spoiling your appliance, do not cook flambe recipes in it.

Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals which have a particularly sensitive respiratory system, such as birds.

We advise bird owners to keep them away from the cooking area.

Do not move the appliance when in use.

On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the first few minutes.

Do not slice directly in the dish.

Do not use aluminium foil or other objects between the pot and the lid.

To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating, do not cook food in aluminium foil.

Never use the appliance when it is empty.

- Always use a plastic or wooden spatula to preserve the coating of pot.

After use

• Turn off the appliance by pressing the On/Off switch: the light switches off - K.
• Unplug the appliance - L.
• Check that the appliance is cooled and unplugged before storing away - M.
• Clean the lid and support stand with a sponge, hot water and washing up liquid - O.

Do not immerse the appliance in water.

Do not use a metallic sponge or scouring powder.

Don't put the hot pot under water or on a fragile surface.

The pot is dishwasher safe.

Environment protection first!

Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
