Description

This Thunderbolt™ 3 mini docking station by Delock can be connected to a computer with a Thunderbolt™ 3 port and provides a variety of interfaces. The DisplayPort output allows the connection of an 8K display, the HDMI output a connection of a 4K display, two monitors with 4K resolution can be operated simultaneously. Two built-in USB ports allow the use of peripherals, connections for headset and Gigabit network complete the features.

Multi-Stream Transport (MST)

The product is an MST hub and supports the extended desktop configuration of DisplayPort. This allows multiple monitors to be combined into one large display. Thereby the docking station supports a maximum resolution of up to 4K 60 Hz per monitor.

USB Power Delivery (USB PD 3.0) support up to 60 watt

The docking station has a USB Type-C™ Power Delivery port to connect the power supply of the laptop or tablet to charge it.

Hardware Installation

  1. Connect the Thunderbolt™ 3 cable of the docking station to the computer.
  2. Connect USB devices to the SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2) Type-A ports.
  3. Connect a DisplayPort and HDMI monitor to the docking station.
  4. Note: The two video ports can work simultaneously.
  5. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the Gigabit Ethernet port to a network.
  6. Connect headphones or a headset to the stereo port.
  7. Connect a power supply to the USB Type-C™ charging port, to charge your laptop or mobile device during operation.
  8. 15 watts are reserved for the docking station. For power supplies with 60 watts, 45 watts are passed to the host, for power supplies with more than 60 watts, 60 watts are passed to the host.

Note

In self-powered mode (with power supply), both USB Type-A connectors support a data transfer rate of 10 Gbps, in bus-powered (without power supply) mode one USB Type-A connector supports 10 Gbps and the other 480 Mbps.
