Frequently Asked Questions - CUBE Ecler

How to install the CUBE on a lighting rail?

Make sure the circuit selector is in the OFF position. Insert the speaker into the rail, rotate the safety tab to secure it, then turn the selector to an active circuit (1, 2, or 3) to power the unit. Turn on the ON/OFF switch on the back.

How to pair the CUBE with the CORE transmitter?

On the CORE, briefly press the WiS PAIR button with a pointed tool. The WiS and RX LEDs blink together during detection. Once stable, pairing is successful. The CUBE must be on and within range.

How to adjust the individual volume of the CUBE?

The individual volume is adjusted via the WiSpeak grip app (administrator profile), in the Loudspeakers page. Click on the CUBE in the list and adjust the Volume slider from 0 to 100.

What to do if the CUBE LEDs do not light up?

Check the power: the lighting rail must be powered, the circuit selector on an active position (1,2,3), the ON/OFF switch in the ON position, and the power cable plugged in if used.

How to clean the CUBE?

Use a cloth dampened with mild liquid detergent and water, then wipe with a dry, clean cloth. Never use solvents or abrasive materials. Avoid water entering the openings.

Can I use the CUBE without the WiSpeak grip app?

Yes, for basic use: pairing via the CORE's PAIR button, source selection and volume via the CORE's front panel controls. The app offers advanced settings but is not required.

What is the maximum range between the CUBE and the transmitter?

The maximum recommended range is 12 meters in direct line of sight, without obstacles. Obstacles like concrete or metal reduce the range.

How to unpair the CUBE from the transmitter?

Press and hold the UNPAIR button on the back of the CUBE for 5 seconds. The WiS and STR LEDs blink, then the CUBE becomes available for new pairing.

What does the blinking of the LEDs on the CUBE mean?

If the STR LED (green) blinks and the WiS LED (blue) is off, the CUBE is paired but offline. If both blink, it is not paired to any transmitter and ready to be paired.

Can the CUBE be wall-mounted? How?

Yes, a wall mount is included. Drill three 6 mm holes, insert wall plugs, attach the mount to the wall, then slide the CUBE vertically onto the guide. Tighten the Allen screws to lock the orientation.

WiSpeak features a unique & intelligent digital wireless transmission system: a solid and stable main channel is always used for the system's audio and control links, together with an alternative backup channel available. The system continuously monitors among 24 transmission channels to resolve the best backup channel option. In case the main channel's integrity is affected by third-party RF interferences, an instantaneous and clean (free of audio drops) switch to the backup one is performed.

Exceptionally, when working in environments with very high radio-electric contamination (presence of frequency inhibitors, WiFi networks saturation, etc.) WiSpeak might at times suffer disturbances in its proper functioning, like intermittent audio drops. In such circumstances, and along the system's installation and setup period, it might even be necessary to decrease the distance from the transmitter to each receiver to reach a solid and stable system performance along time.

Reconnection and pairing time also involve stabilization process to guarantee a solid and stable wireless communication. This time varies depending on adverse conditions described.
