How to install the Axis Q1805-LE camera?

Installation must be carried out by a professional. Fix the camera on a stable support, connect the shielded network cable (STP) and power via PoE or adapter. Refer to the manual for detailed steps.

What type of network cable to use?

Use a shielded network cable (STP) properly grounded to comply with CAN ICES-3 (Class A) standard.

How to clean the dome or front window?

Use a soft damp cloth with warm water. Never rub dry, avoid chemicals like glass cleaner or acetone. Clean in the shade at room temperature.

Is the RTC battery replaceable?

Yes, it is a CR2032 lithium battery. Replace only with an identical battery. Caution: risk of explosion if replaced incorrectly. Follow the instructions in the manual.

What to do in case of low battery message?

A message appears in the server report. Replace the RTC battery as soon as possible to avoid clock reset on each power-up.

Is the IR illumination dangerous for the eyes?

Yes, IR radiation can be harmful. Avoid direct eye exposure. Wear eye protection if necessary during installation or maintenance.

Can the camera be used outdoors?

Yes, the camera is designed for outdoor use with an appropriate protection rating (IP66/IP67 estimate). Make sure to install it away from shocks and in a dry, ventilated environment.

How to reset the camera?

Reset can be done via software or a dedicated button (see manual). Note: this erases custom settings.

What accessories are recommended?

Use accessories that comply with technical specifications, preferably provided by Axis. For power supply, use compatible Axis equipment.

• The power supply shall be plugged in to a socket outlet installed near the product and shall be easily accessible.

Transportation

- When transporting the Axis product, use the original packaging or equivalent to prevent damage to the product.

Battery

The Axis product uses a 3.0 V BR/CR2032 lithium battery as the power supply for its internal real-time clock (RTC). Under normal conditions this battery will last for a minimum of five years.

Low battery power affects the operation of the RTC, causing it to reset at every power-up. When the battery needs replacing, a log message will appear in the product's server report. For more information about the server report, see the product's web page or contact Axis support.

WARNING

• Risk of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced.
• The battery should be replaced with an identical battery only.
• Used batteries should be disposed of according to local regulations or the battery manufacturer's instructions.

Lithium coin cell 3.0 V batteries contain 1,2-dimethoxyethane; ethylene glycol dimethyl ether (EGDME), CAS no. 110-71-4.

Dome or front glass

NN00TT

- Be careful not to scratch, damage or leave fingerprints on the dome or front glass since this can decrease image quality. Keep the

protective plastic on until the installation is complete.

• Don't clean a dome or front glass that looks clean to the eye, and never polish the surface. Excessive cleaning can damage the surface.
• Never use harsh detergents, gasoline, benzene, acetone, or similar chemicals.
• For general cleaning of the dome or front glass it is recommended to use a non-abrasive, solvent-free neutral soap or detergent mixed with pure water and a soft, clean cloth. Rinse well with pure lukewarm water. Dry with a soft, clean cloth to prevent water spotting.
• Avoid cleaning the dome or front glass in direct sunlight or at elevated temperatures, since this can cause stains.
