To update the software on your LG 43LF5400 or 49LF5400 TV, your TV must first be connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable, as the update is downloaded online. Make sure your connection is stable before starting, as an interruption during the process can damage the TV.
Access the settings by pressing the Settings or Paramètres button on your remote control. Once in the main menu, navigate to the About this TV or Software Update section (depending on your interface version). Select the Check for Updates or Search for Update option.
Your TV will initiate an online search and display a message indicating whether a new version of the software is available. If an update is detected, select Install or Download and follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the download.
Important: during the entire update process, do not close the menu, press any buttons, and do not unplug the TV. The update may take several minutes, and your TV may restart automatically one or more times during the process; this is normal and does not indicate that an error has occurred. A progress bar is usually displayed to indicate the progress.
Once the update is complete, a confirmation message will appear on the screen, and your TV will restart automatically. Wait for the device to fully initialize before using it. You can check that the update was successful by going back to About this TV to view the new software version number.
