KNOW YOUR AIR FRYER OVEN

Discover the new generation of air fryer ovens! The Kalorik 26 Quart Maxx Air Fryer Oven combines multiple appliances into one. It functions as an air fryer, roaster, broiler, rotisserie, oven, toaster, pizza oven, and more.

The Kalorik Maxx Air Fryer Oven uses special Turbo Maxx technology to cook food faster than ever. Customized upper and lower heating elements provide even heat distribution for perfectly cooked results. An optimized airflow system and high-performance turbo fan are engineered for maximum air circulation, delivering the same crispy texture and rich flavor of deep-fried food, with little to no oil. This reduces fat and calories for healthier meals.

The rotisserie setting rotates the included spit accessory during cooking, allowing meat to roast evenly in its own juices and develop maximum flavor. The Kalorik Maxx Air Fryer Oven reaches up to 450 °F, perfect for searing meat or vegetables to caramelized perfection. The oven can fit a large chicken, 12" pizza, or up to 9 slices of toast in its cavity.

Modern and multifunctional, the Kalorik Maxx Air Fryer Oven features glass French doors with single hand automatic opening to prevent dripping or scalding. A built-in auto-shutoff safety feature automatically stops operation when the doors are open.

Three easy-to-use control dials let you adjust the setting, temperature, and time to your liking. A fourth allows you to adjust the browning level of your toast if this function is selected. Accessories include an air frying basket, baking tray, air rack, crumb tray, rotisserie spit, rack handle and rotisserie handle.

  • Unpack the appliance and accessories and wash and wipe everything down. Wipe the interior of the oven with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry with a paper towel. Make sure the oven is dry before operating the unit.
  • Position the oven on a flat and heat resistant surface so that it is also positioned at least 4 inches (10cm) away from any surrounding object.
  • Unwind and plug in the power cord into the wall outlet. Place the sliding crumb tray inside on the bottom of the unit, underneath the bottom heating elements. Make sure unit is clean and everything has been taken out of the oven.
  • It is normal if some smoke or smell emanates from the appliance when using it for the first time. This is not harmful. To eliminate any packing oil that may remain after production, we recommend operating the appliance for 20 minutes putting the thermostat on its maximum temperature setting (450 °F).
  • Once the unit is plugged in and a time is set with the timer dial, the power indicator light will turn on and remain on during operation.

• Used for baking oven function.

- Ideal for smaller food bits.

- Doubles as a drip tray to catch grease during cooking when slid into the bottom level.

- When using as a baking sheet for foods like cookies or grilled cheese, or other baking functions like roasting smaller cuts of food (like chicken breasts, corn dogs, ...), then place on 2^nd (BAKE 2) level.

- When using the oven function, we recommend rotating your pan 180° halfway through the cooking time to ensure even results.

Tips

- When setting up the Maxx Air fryer oven, always make sure the sliding crumb tray is inserted prior to starting your cooking process. Rinse and clean the sliding crumb tray after every use.

- When cooking foods that may drip crumbs or grease during the cooking process, make sure to place the baking/drip pan on the lowest slot. This will help maintain the unit as clean as possible and protect the lower heating elements.

Using the Rotisserie Spit

  • Insert the rotisserie spit through the center of the food lengthwise.
  • Slide the forks onto each side of the spit and secure them in place by tightening the screws provided. Make sure the forks are securely inserted and food is centered on the spit.
  • Use the rotisserie handle to lift the rotisserie rod. The hooks of the rotisserie handle should be placed under the grooves on both sides of the rod. Make sure the long end of the rod is on the right side of the handle, and the short-indented side is on the left side of the handle.
  • Open the oven doors. Slide the accessory in the cavity. Insert the right side (long end) of the rod in the rotisserie spit support. Then, place the left side (short, indented end of the rod) on the left hook inside the cavity.

CAUTION: Rotisserie accessories are very sharp and will likely get very hot during the cooking process. Be careful and use oven mitts to avoid personal injury.

WARNING: Place all ingredients on the racks, rotisserie spit or basket in a way to prevent any contact with the appliance's heating elements. Do not overfill.

FUNCTIONS

Cooking FunctionDescriptionInfo
Air FryRecommended for foods that you want to get nice and crispy, without the fat of a traditional deep fryer.Works with fresh and frozen cut fries.Make anything from chicken wings to fried fish to donuts with little to no oil.Achieves crispy vegetables packed with flavor, not with fat.Recommended accessory: Air frying basket.Note: Best results are achieved when food is rotated or shaken at least once halfway through the cooking process. To do so, simply open the air fryer oven and, using tongs or a spatula, turn over food to ensure even heat and air circulation exposure and have the crispiest and tastiest results.Fast Air Fry level is recommended for adding extra crispiness on foods. Not recommended for reheating frozen foods unless used to finish off and add extra crispiness.
BakeRecommended for foods that would normally be prepared in a conventional oven.Works with prepacked frozen meals. Recommended when heating pizzas. For best results, preheat the oven at least 5-10 minutes at the desired temperature. We also suggest turning the rack around (180°) halfway through the cooking time to assure even baking.Good for foods that require rising like cakes, breads, quick breads, soufflés, or other baked goods that need a good cooking on the inside without browning too much on the outside.Good for keeping foods tender, like baked potatoes.Recommended accessories: baking rack and/or backing pan.
Convection BakeRecommended for quicker cooking and browning foods.Preheat oven for 5-10 minutes. For best results, set food on the center of the rack spaced out evenly.Good for foods that do not rise like cookies, meats, casseroles, etc.Generally, convection baking is quicker and therefore requires a lower temperature setting to accommodate—aim for 10-25°F less than for a regular oven.Recommended accessories: baking rack and/or backing pan.
ToastUse the toast function to toast bread to perfection: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. For best results, set food on the center of the rack spaced out evenly. If toast is lighter than desired, place back inside oven and add more time by using TOAST TIMER dial. If you are unsure about toasting time, it is better to undercook and re-toast to avoid accidentally burning your food.Recommended accessory: grill rack in middle slot.
BroilPreheat the oven for 10 minutes. For best results, use the top slot.
Used for meats such as beef, chicken, or pork. Can create a nice char or caramelization on vegetables and fruits. Also used for top browning casseroles and gratins. Generally, broiling is done at the highest temperature setting (450°F) for best results.·This function usually requires shorter cooking time.·Food gets cooked quickly during broil, it is best to watch over food to not overcook.·Do not use glass oven dishes to broil.·Recommended accessories: baking rack in top slot and baking tray in lower slot to catch grease drippings.·CAUTION: Aluminum foil is not recommended for covering the rack. If covered, the foil prevents the fat from dripping into the drip tray. Grease will accumulate on the foil surface and may catch fire.
RotisserieThe Rotisserie function can be used to enhance flavor through caramelization and browning on the surface, leaving food moist and juicy on the inside, by rotating foods and allowing them to cook in their own juices.·Preheat oven for 10 minutes.·Roasting can get done quicker so it is suggested to check on food before time has ended.·Can be used for whole chickens, kabobs, pork roasts, roast beef, lamb, and other meats.·Best roasting results are achieved at higher temperatures.·Recommended accessory: rotisserie spit placed above baking pan / drip tray, to catch drippings.

AIR FRY

Air frying can be used as a healthy alternative style of cooking, requiring little to no oil, and using rapid hot air to cook meals faster.

  • Place your food on or inside the appropriate rack, pan, or basket and position it inside the oven. For this function, the air frying basket is almost always recommended.
  • Using the FUNCTION dial, turn to "AIR FRY" setting. Using the TEMPERATURE dial, select the desired temperature. Finally, begin air frying by setting the TIMER dial to the desired time.

Tips:

- Although oil is not necessary, a small portion of oil can be sprayed on or brushed on food before air frying. Make sure to distribute oil evenly on food.

- Most foods require flipping halfway through the cooking process for crispiest and most even results. In addition, food should be placed in a single layer to ensure that everything gets the same exposure to the hot air circulation. This means that halfway through your set time, you should open your oven and take a spatula to move your food around to ensure even heat exposure. Using heat-proof gloves, you can also shake the basket to make sure the food ends up flat and evenly spaced on the basket.

- When placing food to be air fried on the “fast air fry” position, pay close attention that the outside does not cook faster than the inside. This mode is recommended for reheating already cooked food or finishing off foods to ensure maximum crispiness.

- Some foods release water or oil when cooking. When cooking large quantities for an extended period, condensation may build up, which could leave moisture on your countertop.

- Use the baking pan to catch water or oil when dripping.

Air frying recommendations:

The suggested accessory for all the recommendations is the air frying basket.

This table only provides a basic template for common foods. Times and temperature are indicative, and results can vary on food and/or quantity, as well as level used in the oven. When cooking a particular food for the first time, we suggest keeping a close eye in order to prevent any burning or undercooking.

When placing on "fast air fry" position, pay close attention as food will crisp up faster.

*Steak (medium), 1.5 inch thick

**For foods that may drip, place baking rack on lowest level to help catch excess grease.

BAKE

Use your MAXX Air Fryer Oven as a conventional oven by turning the FUNCTION dial to BAKE.

- Place the baking pan / drip tray underneath the baking rack or basket as there is a chance food may drip during the cooking process. The baking pan will help catch any grease or crumbs.

- After selecting the desired temperature, turn the TIMER dial to the desired cooking time to begin the heating process. For baking processes, it is recommended to allow 10 minutes preheating time at desired temperature before placing the elements inside.

- Like in all ovens, more heat is generated in the back of the oven than in the front. For this reason, we recommend rotating your baked goods 180° halfway through the baking time to ensure the most even results. You can do this by directly rotating the baking pan or rack. For most foods, other than quick breads and other rising foods, another alternative would be using the Convection Bake or Air Frying functions which use a fan to spread out the heat more evenly to give faster and more even cooking results. It is recommended to adjust time (check about 5-10 minutes before the cooking cycle should be complete) and temperature (you can generally lower the temperature by 10-25°F for the same recipe) accordingly when using the convection bake.

CAUTION: Carefully take out your food with oven mitts and using the tray handle.

CONVECTION BAKE

Use your MAXX Air Fryer Oven as a convection oven for fan-assisted oven baking. This is best used for achieving better browning when roasting foods

like meats and vegetables and cooking pastries that benefit from the added air flow.

  • Place the desired baking pan, basket, or grill rack with food inside the oven. If reheating/keeping warm greasy or moist foods that may drip, place baking pan / drip tray at the bottom to catch any grease or crumbs.
  • Use the FUNCTION dial to select the convection oven mode (OVEN with fan icon). Use TEMPERATURE dial to turn to desired temperature. Use the TIMER dial to set desired baking time and begin the baking process.

Note: Please keep in mind that convection baking is generally faster than traditional baking when setting time. If you are unsure about needed time, it is best to count a 25% reduction in cooking time (an hour-long baking time would be 45 minutes) and adding additional time, as necessary. Another precaution could be to adjust the temperature to 10-25°F lower than the recipe calls when making it for the first time.

- This function is not recommended for cooking foods that need thorough inner baking like custardy desserts, souffles, cakes, and quickbreads, as they may cook on the outside faster than on the inside. For foods like this, we recommend using the regular bake function.

TOAST

Use your MAXX Air Fryer Oven as a toaster oven by using the "TOAST" function. Use this to toast bread, bagels, burger buns, and more!

- Place food on air rack and slide inside the oven. Make sure the removable crumb tray is in place to ensure you catch all fallout.

- Use the FUNCTION dial to select "TOAST".

- Use the TEMPERATURE dial to turn to the desired toasting temperature. We suggest first toasting at 400 °F and adjusting the temperature as necessary.

- When using the toast function, the 4 ^th dial (TOAST TIMER) needs to be set to the desired level of browning. It functions as a timer in place of the 1 ^st dial (TIMER).

- Light ("LIGHT") is about 5 minutes, Medium ("MED") is about 6 minutes, Dark ("DARK") is 8 minutes.

- When the TOAST TIMER has elapsed, a bell will ring to indicate the end of the heating process, and unit will return to “OFF” mode.

- To prevent burning food, it is imperative to monitor cooking. Remove toast immediately after timer has elapsed.

- Note that the "TOAST" function uses the fan for optimal heat distribution.

BROIL

Use your MAXX Air Fryer Oven as a broiler by using the “BROIL” function. Use this to sear steaks and meats, crisp up vegetables and fruits, finish off cheesy dishes, and even caramelize crèmes brulées.

  • Place food on grill rack or baking pan. If using a separate pan, place food on the baking pan / drip tray. Slide inside the oven. Make sure the removable crumb tray is in place.
  • Use the FUNCTION dial to select "BROIL". Use TEMPERATURE dial to turn to desired toasting temperature. Turn TIMER dial to desired time to turn on the unit.
  • We suggest broiling at 450^ F for a few minutes until food is cooked and desired texture is achieved.
  • Note that the “BROIL” function uses the fan for optimal heat distribution.

CAUTION: Be careful during broiling as food gets cooked quickly. It is best to watch over food to not overcook and prevent unwanted burning.

ROTISSERIE

- Use your MAXX Air Fryer Oven as a rotisserie using the rotisserie function. This function allows foods to rotate and marinate in their own juices during the cooking process, allowing for a richer and deeper flavor profile. Can be used for foods like whole chickens, beef and pork, Middle Eastern-style kebab, and any other foods you feel inspiration to try out. Insert the rotisserie spit through the center of the food lengthwise.

- Slide the forks onto each side of the spit and secure them in place by tightening the screws provided. Make sure the forks are securely inserted and food is centered on the spit.

- Use the rotisserie handle to lift the rotisserie rod. The hooks of the rotisserie handle should be placed under the grooves on both sides of the rod. Make sure the long end of the rod is on the right side of the handle, and the short-indented side is on the left side of the handle.

- Open the oven doors. Slide the accessory in the cavity. Insert the right side (long end) of the rod in the rotisserie spit support. Then, place the left side (short, indented end of the rod) on the left hook inside the cavity.

  • Use the FUNCTION dial to select “Rotisserie”. Using the TEMPERATURE dial, select desired temperature. A medium high to high heat (around 375^ F) is best for this type of cooking. Turn the timer dial to desired cooking time to turn on the unit and begin cooking process.
  • The Rotisserie function can be inactivated at any time during the cooking process. To do so, simply switch the Function dial from "Rotisserie" to "Air Fry."
  • Once the cooking time has elapsed, a bell will ring, and heating elements and rotisserie will turn off. Carefully remove the rotisserie rod from the oven using the provided rotisserie handle and enjoy!

CAUTION: Rotisserie accessories are very sharp and will likely get very hot during the cooking process. Be careful and use oven mitts to avoid personal injury.

KEEP WARM

Use your MAXX Air Fryer Oven to slowly reheat foods or keep them warm using the "Keep Warm" function.

  • Place the desired baking pan, basket, or grill rack with food inside the oven. If reheating/keeping warm greasy or moist foods that may drip, place baking pan / drip tray at the bottom to catch any grease or crumbs.
  • Use the FUNCTION dial to select “Keep Warm.” Use temperature dial to turn to 170°F (marked KEEP WARM). Turn timer dial to desired time to turn on the unit.
    • Note that the "Keep Warm" function does not use the fan.

NOTE: Except for "Bake" and "Keep Warm," all functions are fan-assisted.

Cooking times will vary with different conditions such as size, quantity, initial temperature, and preparation used. These are meant to serve as basic cooking guidelines to help you get the most out of your Kalorik MAXX air fryer oven. Additional notes for each food are found on the next page. Most recipes, unless otherwise indicated, require either to rotate, flip, or turn food halfway through the cooking process to provide more even results.

*Internal temperatures as recommended by FDA, other doneness standards are indicative only.

**When in doubt, use BAKE at the recommended time and temperature provided by your recipe when baking loaves, pies, cakes, and other larger foods that require thorough internal cooking.

See additional cooking notes on the next page.

FoodNotes:
Chicken breastPlace baking / drip tray on the lowest level to catch falling grease and juices. Spray air frying basket with cooking oil before placing breasts. Maximum recommended capacity is 3 10 oz breasts. Add an additional 1-2 minutes for each additional oz/breast. Remember to flip halfway through the cooking process.
Chicken tenderloinsPlace baking / drip tray on the lowest level to catch any falling juices or breading (if marinated). Spray air frying basket with cooking oil before placing tenderloins on the basket. Add an additional 1-2 minutes for each additional oz. Maximum recommended capacity is 4 bone-in chicken thighs. Flip halfway through the cooking process.
Chicken thighs (bone-in)Place baking / drip tray on the lowest level to catch falling grease and juices. Add an additional 1-2 minutes for each additional oz. Maximum recommended capacity is 4 bone-in chicken thighs (no drumstick attached). Flip halfway through the cooking process.
Chicken wings (fresh)Place baking / drip tray on the lowest level to catch falling grease and juices. Can place last few minutes, or an additional 2 minutes, on 4th (FAST AIR FRY) level if planning to glaze and get crispy wings. Max recommended amount is 8 whole wings.
FishRecommended to spray basket with non-stick cooking spray. Fish should be opaque once cooked through.
Pork loinPlace baking / drip tray on the lowest level to catch falling grease and juices. Add an additional 2-3 minutes for each additional oz.
TofuFor drained, extra-firm tofu. Drain overnight if necessary, to ensure the crispiest results. Flip halfway through cooking time.
Meatloaf (Beef)**For a freeform loaf: Recommended to wrap loosely in tinfoil to avoid excessive browning in Air Fry function. For a loaf in a pan: recommended bake function. You can cover the pan loosely in tinfoil to avoid excessive browning and uncover in the last 5-10 minutes to help crisp up the top. Recipes will vary.
Baked potatoNo need to wrap with foil, but poking holes with a fork will provide best results, as well as covering outside with a little bit of oil to help skin crisp up.
Mac and cheese (baked)Assumes cooked macaroni, only used for finishing off the recipe as in a baked mac and cheese recipe. This is good for adding a nice broil to your mac and cheese and help the cheese melt. For less browning, cover tightly with foil.
Grilled cheeseButter outside of the bread and flip halfway through cooking time. Try to avoid going near the sides of the baking pan as it may lead to unwanted marks on the bread.
Frozen pizza (thin crust)Rotate the air rack 180° halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. Pizza should be ready when all the cheese is melty, and crust is warm.
Frozen pizza (thick crust)Rotate the air rack 180° halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. Pizza should be ready when all the cheese is melty, and crust is warm.
Frozen fish sticksShake the fish sticks halfway through cooking time for maximum crispiness. No preheating necessary.
Frozen chicken nuggetsShake the nuggets halfway through cooking time for maximum crispiness. No preheating necessary.
Frozen mozzarella sticksShake the mozzarella sticks halfway through cooking time to ensure maximum crispiness. Use baking pan to prevent cheese drippings. Careful not to overcook, as it may cause cheese to leak.
Chocolate chip cookiesRotate baking pan 180° halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. Turning the pan upside down and placing it on a higher level helps to give the cookies a little more distance from the heating element to ensure a more uniform heating.
CakeBake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Different pan materials and sizes will yield different results. Check doneness 5 minutes before the end of the minimum recommended for your recipe and add time as needed. Preheat oven for 5 minutes.
Quick breadRotate the loaf pan 180° halfway through cooking. Insert toothpick to check for doneness. Baking times will vary based on size of loaf and type of pan used. Preheat 5 minutes.
MuffinsRotate the baking rack 180° halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. Muffins should be done once an inserted toothpick comes out cleanly. Preheat 5 mins.
PieCover the pie loosely with foil if it starts to brown too much. Air Fry works best for a crispier pie and Bake for a softer pie. Preheat oven for 5 minutes.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Make sure to clean the appliance after each use! Cleaning regularly prevents the accumulation of grease and helps avoid unpleasant smells.
    • Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow it to cool completely.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water or wash under running water.
  • All accessories, except the sliding crumb tray, are dishwasher safe. All can be washed in hot soapy water.
  • Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials to clean them, as this may damage the non-stick coating. Rinse and dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Inside cleaning

  • To remove crumbs, pull out the sliding crumb tray from the Air Fryer Oven. Wipe clean and place back inside before using the appliance.
  • Wipe cavity with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry with paper towel. To remove baked on food, pour a little cooking oil on the food and allow to stand for five to ten minutes. This should soften the food and allow it to be removed with absorbent paper toweling or a soft cloth.
  • Clean the inside of the glass doors with a damp soapy cloth. If the glass has stubborn stains, open the door and cover the inside of the door with a few damp paper towels. Leave for a few minutes, then remove the towels and wipe door clean. Never use sharp utensils as scratching may weaken it and cause it to shatter.
  • Never use abrasive products in the cavity. Never immerse the appliance in water and make sure no water or damp penetrates the appliance except the cavity.
Make sure no water comes on the oven doors when the latter are still hot.

Housing cleaning

  1. Wipe clean with a damp sponge. Wipe dry.
  2. NEVER use steel wool, metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish.

Replacing the inner lamp

A replacement bulb is available to you should the original stop working. If this is the case, you can call customer service at the address listed in the "WARRANTY" section to get a replacement bulb. Be sure to perform the following steps carefully as they comprise of manipulating small glass parts.

  1. Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow it to cool completely to avoid electric shocks or burns.
  2. With a screwdriver, unscrew the screw holding the metal clamp against the glass cover.
  3. Using a tool such as a flat-ended screwdriver, carefully remove the glass to gain access to the lightbulb.
  4. Remove the lamp by shifting it upwards and ejecting the bi-pin end from its place. To replace with new bulb, align the two pins with the small holes in the original bulb base and plug back in, ensuring the new lamp is securely in place.
  5. Place the glass cover back into a secure position, ensuring it fits neatly, and screw the metal clamp back into its original position to prevent glass cover from falling off.
