Before using the appliance, please read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the appliance. This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.

Important safety instructions
- In order to avoid hazards, repairs to this electrical appliance or its power cord must be carried out by our customer service. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to our customer service department (see appendix).
Before cleaning the appliance,
ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water.
- For detailed information on cleaning the appliance, please refer to the section ‘General care and cleaning’.
- The appliance may only be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance and fully understand all dangers and safety precautions involved.
- Children must not be permitted to operate the appliance. The appliance and its power cord must be kept well away from children.
• Children must not be permitted to play with the appliance.
- Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.
- Every time the appliance is used, the main body including the power cord as well as any attachment fitted should
be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, or if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord, it must no longer be used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
- The appliance should only be placed on a level surface. Do not allow the housing or its power cord to come into contact with open flames or any hot surfaces such as hot-plates.
- Do not let the power cord hang free.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected. Always remove the plug from the wall socket, even if you leave the room only for a short while
- Caution: the blade is extremely sharp. To prevent injuries, take special care when cleaning the appliance and when emptying the blender jug.
- Do not touch any moving parts during operation - this can be extremely dangerous.
- Caution: do not put hot liquid into the blender jug.
- Always switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the wall socket, - before opening the lid,
- before removing or fitting the blender jug,
- before cleaning,
- in case of any malfunction during use,
- after use.
- When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
- Caution: Any misuse can cause severe personal injury.
- No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with.
- This appliance is intended for domestic or similar applications, such as
- in shops, offices and other similar working environments,
- in agricultural working environments,
- by customers in hotels, motels etc. and similar establishments,
- in bed-and breakfast type environments.
Before using for the first time
Before the appliance is used for the first time, the blender jug and the lid should be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General Care and Cleaning.
Switch settings
The following settings can be selected:
P The appliance remains switched on as long as the rotary switch is held in this position

Short-term operation
The appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food; it can be operated without interruption for a maximum of 3 minutes, after which it should be allowed to cool down to room temperature.
Safety switch
A special safety switch in the motor housing ensures that the appliance can only be operated if the blender jug is properly locked in position.
Before removing the blender jug, make sure that the rotary control is in position 0. This also applies when fi tting the blender jug to the motor housing. If the control is not in its off-position (0), the motor will start immediately.
Operation
• Fit the blender jug to the recesses in the motor housing with its handle to the right.
- Put the liquid ingredients into the blender jug. The jug has a maximum capacity of 1500 ml. To avoid possible foaming or spilling when processing foamable or thin liquids such as milk, do not fill the jug over the 1000 ml mark.
- Replace the lid so that the spout is completely covered.
- To add ingredients during operation, the stopper in the centre of the lid can be removed by turning it in an anti-clockwise direction and then lifting it off. Do not put any objects into the blender jug while the appliance is operating.
- Insert the plug into the wall outlet and use the rotary control to select the required power setting.
- Caution: do not operate when the blender jug is empty. Do not fill it with dry items only, such as nuts, almonds etc.
- After using the blender, switch off and remove the plug from the wall socket. Wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before removing the blender jug.
Wind-up power cord storage
The power cord can be wound up for storage on the underside of the unit. Unwind it completely before operation.
General Care and Cleaning
• Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the motor housing or the power cord with water and do not immerse them in water. The motor housing may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or hard brushes for cleaning, and do not clean in a dish-washer.
- For cleaning after use, fill the blender jug with approximately 1000 ml warm water and a mild cleaning detergent. Let the appliance run for a short period as described in the section Operation. Then rinse the blender jug, lid and stopper with fresh water. All parts must me thoroughly dried afterwards.
- If necessary, the sealing gasket on the lid can be removed for cleaning. Before the appliance is used again, the gasket must be replaced in such a way that the cut-outs in the gasket are positioned directly over the openings in the lid.
- If required, the blade can be detached for cleaning: remove the drive coupling from the inside of the mixing bowl by turning it clockwise and then lifting it out. Caution: the blades are extremely sharp! Take the gasket off the drive coupling. Clean the gasket and blade with a brush. To re-assemble, put the gasket back onto the drive coupling and fi t the assembly back onto the bottom of the jug, turn it counterclockwise all the way until it locks safely in place (aligning the markings on the drive coupling).

This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as
glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
