WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS (Domestic appliances)
This is a manufacturer's warranty against defects in Asko domestic appliances.
The benefits to you given by this warranty are in addition to your other rights and remedies
under a law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates. This warranty
only is applicable to appliances used in a residential application. If the said appliances are used in a business then there is a three month warranty.
WHO GIVES THIS WARRANTY?

For appliances purchased within Australia, this warranty is given by Asko Appliances (Aust.) Pty. Ltd. (ABN65 007 007 329) (Asko Australia).

For appliances purchased within New Zealand, this warranty is given by Applico Ltd.

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY PERIOD?
- The warranty period will commence from the date of purchase of the relevant appliance (Appliance).
- The period within which the defect in the Appliance must appear if you are to be entitled to claim under this warranty. The warranty period for the following categories ovens/cooktops/rangehoods/refrigeration is 5 years Dishwashers/Washing machines/Tumble dryers/Drying Cabinets is 2 years. 2.1 ASKO Appliances purchased in New Zealand come with a standard 2 year warranty. (a) if the Appliance is used for commercial purposes or has any application outside of a residential dwelling, in which case the Warranty Period is reduced to three (3) months from the date of purchase of the Appliance; or (b) if another warranty period is agreed in writing at the time of purchasing the Appliance, in which case that warranty period will apply.
WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER?
- Any parts in the Appliance found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship will be replaced at no cost to the owner during the Warranty Period. This includes parts, labour within Asko Australia, Applico Ltd NZ or either of those entities' authorised service agents (Authorised Service Agents) serviced area.
- Warranty service is to be carried out by Asko Australia, Applico Ltd NZ or the Authorised Service Agents only.

Under this warranty, Asko Australia, Applico Ltd NZ, or the Authorised Service Agents reserve the right to repair or replace any defective parts as deemed necessary.

To the extent legally permissible, Asko Australia or Applico Ltd NZ reserve the right to remedy a major failure in any manner permitted by section 261 of the Australian Consumer Law (Australia) or the Consumers Guarantee Act (New Zealand).
- Replaced parts become the property of Asko Australia or Applico Ltd NZ.
- This Appliance is intended for domestic use only and is designed for operation in a residential dwelling. Use of the Appliance for commercial purposes or any use of the Appliance outside of a residential dwelling will limit this warranty to a period of three (3) months.
- This warranty only applies to goods sold and used in Australia or New Zealand. Goods taken out of these countries are no longer under warranty by the ASKO Group.
WHAT IS EXCLUDED?
- Damage to or faults in the Appliance caused by the following are excluded:
(a) incorrect installation, usage, detergents, cleaning of filters, or removal of blockages, Oven trays, racks, telescopic guides
(b) rodent or pest infestation;
(c) supply services (power/water);
(d) neglect and/or abuse;
(e) use of the Appliance in a manner inconsistent with the uses specified in the User Guide; and (f) any owner's modifications made to the Appliance.
(g) Natural Disaster
(h) Refrigeration-Warranty will be void if installed by an unauthorised person.

To the extent legally permissible, no responsibility will be accepted for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, or for personal injury or for any additional expenses relating to or caused by the Appliance.

Any additional travel costs outside the normal areas serviced by Asko Australia, Applico Ltd NZ or the Authorised Service Agents will be costs borne by the owner of the Appliance.
WHAT MUST YOU DO TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM?
To claim under this warranty:
(a) As soon as the defect appears in the Appliance, contact us at one of the contact details
(as applicable) provided in this warranty and advise us of the nature of the defect.
(b) Provide us with your proof of purchase of the Appliance upon request.
(c) A suitable time will be made to visit you and examine and/or repair the Appliance.
WHO BEARS THE EXPENSE OF CLAIMING THE WARRANTY?

Asko Australia or Applico Ltd NZ (as applicable) will cover all expenses in relation to your claim under this warranty, except for those expenses incurred as a result of additional travel costs outside the normal areas serviced by Asko Australia, Applico Ltd NZ or the Authorised Service Agents (as determined by Asko Australia or Applico Ltd NZ), which must be borne by you.

Any claims by you under this warranty (including expenses incurred in making such claim) should be made to the contact details set out in this warranty.
AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND CONSUMER LAW
For Appliances purchased in Australia and New Zealand, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian and New Zealand Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this warranty is invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected and such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision is to be severed from this warranty.

- Asko appliances come with 2 years standard warranty.
- The warranty period will commence from the date of Installation of the relevant Appliance.
- The period within which the defect in the Appliance must appear if you are to be entitled to claim under this warranty is 2 years from the date of installation.
- Warranty is subject to installation done by Hafele India Pvt Ltd or its authorized service center Engineer; if unauthorized Person performs the installation then warranty will not be covered.
- Warranty policy and terms W.E.F 1st January 2018 & it is subject to revision of company without prior notice.
Warranty Terms
- Product Warranty against manufacturing defects and its components, Warranty period will be based on Date of Installation.
- No Product replacement will be given on any failure cases, only Technical solution like Servicing and Part Replacement will be carried.
- Under this warranty, Hafele India reserve the right to repair or replace any defective parts as deemed necessary.
- Replacement will not be approved for damage cases, in circumstance of billing done from company (Hafele) to dealers, if damage reported within 7 days of good received then replacement can be considered subject to management approval.
• Replaced parts become the property of Hafele India.
Warranty will be void under following circumstances:
- Repair or replacement of parts, which are subject to normal wear and tear during the warranty period or to parts that may require replacement in connection with normal maintenance.
• Defects as a result of misuse, negligence, abnormal use, or insufficient care.
• To any indirect or any consequential loss, injury or damage.
• Repairs / Installation carried out by person other than the company authorized service centers. - Any modifications / alterations of any nature are carried out or if the serial number is deleted / defected / altered.

Thank you for purchasing an ASKO appliance. When buying an ASKO appliance, you can be confident you have purchased a high quality, reliable, environmentally friendly, innovative and stylish product from one of Europe's leading manufacturers. We hope your new appliance provides you with many years of outstanding service.
In order to activate your free product guarantee please complete the online registration form which can be found at www.ASKO.com/uk/registration. Please note that registration must be completed within 90 days of purchase, otherwise your product may not be covered beyond two years. Note that you must always keep proof of purchase to verify your guarantee.
Your retailer will be able to advise you of your product guarantee period. Guarantee durations beyond the standard period are only valid if registered (as above). The free guarantee is available to customers based in the UK. Your ASKO guarantee is subject to the following provisions relating to the appliance, your statutory rights remain unaffected:
- That it is used normally for domestic purposes in a residential address only.
- That it has been installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual and any separate installation instructions provided by ASKO.
- That it has been properly connected to mains supplied electricity and water drainage as instructed by respective authorities and standards. In the case of gas appliances, both installation and LPG conversion must be done by a qualified GASSAFE (UK) gas engineer.
- That the appliance has not been subject to misuse or accident, nor been repaired or modified other than by our own Service Agent (except Gas LPG conversion – see above).
- The Warranty will be void if the Serial Number for the appliance is damaged, modified or removed.
- Where deemed necessary by ASKO to exchange an appliance within the guarantee period, the new appliance will be covered by the original guarantee period and will not be subject to a new guarantee.
- If the appliance qualifies for a free extended warranty and cannot be repaired, or a suitable alternative replacement product cannot be provided, a pro-rata refund of the original purchase price will be made based upon the age of the unit (e.g. 5 years warranty - reduction equal to 20% per year).
- This guarantee is not transferable and only relates to the original purchaser, commencing from their original purchase date.
- That the appliance is not used for Hire purposes or used in a commercial premises.
- The warranty covers the repair of manufacturing faults caused by normal usage within the warranty period.
This guarantee excludes and does not cover service calls to:
- Correct the installation of the appliance.
- Remove or re-install an integrated appliance prior to and after an engineer's visit for any repair/replacement.
- Repair any second-hand appliances or those used by several people in communal areas.
- Correct normal wear and tear that can be reasonably expected from an appliance based on age and use.
- Instruct the user in the correct operation of the appliance.

Replace house mains fuses or correct house wiring, plumbing, drainage or gas supply.

Replace or repair any cosmetic or consumable parts such as bulbs, plugs, fuses, cables, filters and attachments, control knobs, handles, glass and wire shelves, drawers, rubber hoses, plastic door shelves and any accessories for example Oven baking trays and shelves. These include any parts which have become worn, discoloured or damaged, including damage by incorrect use or cleaning.
- Repair an appliance due to the effects of limescale, mould, dirt, grease, spillages and odours.
- Unblock the pump of a washing machine or dishwasher.
- Repair damage caused by flood, lightning, electrical shock or surge, storm, extreme temperature, explosion, impact, corrosion, household pests, theft or attempted theft, improper environment, or misuse.
- Deal with any noise, vibration or steam resulting from the operation of the appliance. These include periodic start and running of oven fans, flow and drain pump, steam from a washer, dryer, dishwasher and oven.
- Reverse door hinges on cooling appliances.
- Repair or replace any hob because of chips, scratches, cracks or damages, resulting from unknown causes or abrasive cleaning and cleaning agents, improper use of utensils, improper shape or uneven base of utensils or foreign particles in between the utensil and hob surface.
- Compatibility with other devices or utensils/pans/implements.
ASKO will not be liable for any consequential loss, or loss of use whilst the machine is being repaired.
ASKO reserves the right to 1) charge the Buyer the entire cost of a service call and any spares, should the Buyer's service call include any of the above defined instances, or where a proof of purchase cannot be provided and 2) Inspect the appliance and proof of purchase prior to any action taken for an exchange / replacement.
