4. Modes

You can use the device as a grill thermometer or as a timer. The respective functions are explained in the sections below.

4.1 Timer mode

Move the "Timer/Temperature" switch (6) on the back of the device in the direction of "TIMER" to enable the timer mode.

• The minute and seconds are shown in the display.
- To set the countdown time, press the "Min/UP" and "Sec/DOWN" buttons.
- Press the "°C/°F/S/S" button to start and stop the timer.

- To reset the timer, please press and hold the "Min/UP" and "Sec/DOWN" buttons simultaneously.

- If the time is not set and the timer is started, the timer starts counting upwards.

4.2 Thermometer mode

Move the "Timer/Temperature" switch (6) on the back of the device in the direction of "COOK" to enable the thermometer mode.

- Connect the thermometer cable to the device.

  • The temperature at the end of the probe is shown on the left in the display ("THERMO TEMP").
  • When using the device in an oven or grill, insert the probe with the wire into the device where you want to measure the temperature. The thermometer has to be outside the oven or grill. Do not expose the thermometer to high temperatures.
  • Be careful in case of open fire: This wire is heat-resistant but not in case of an open fire. In this case, you need to protect the wire.
  • To use the alarm setting, adjust the temperature at the right of the display (SET TEMP) using the "Min/UP" and "Sec/DOWN" buttons. You hear an alarm once the set temperature is reached.
  • Be careful when using the device as the probe and wire can be very hot.
  • The probe (but not the wire) can be immersed in any liquid such as oil or water.

5. Safety instructions and disclaimer

Never try to open the device to repair or make modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not approved for outdoor use. Therefore please use it only in dry surroundings. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep the device away from high temperatures. Do not expose the device to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the device for any damage before using it. The device should not be used if it was subject to impact or has been damaged in some other manner. Please comply with the local regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. 6. Disposal instructions
