Frequently Asked Questions - 302965 Bearware

How to program a socket with the remote control?
Press the Function button on the socket for about 5 seconds until the blue LED flashes. Then select the group (A-D) on the remote control and press the ON side of the desired key (1-4). A double click confirms programming.
How to clear a socket's assignment?
Hold down the Function button on the socket until the LED flashes. On the remote control, select the group and then press the OFF side of the corresponding key. A double click and the device turning on/off confirm the erasure.
Which devices should not be plugged into these sockets?
Do not use devices with motor capacitor (refrigerator), clothes iron (fire risk), CRT televisions, or any device exceeding 3680 W.
What is the maximum range of the remote control?
The range is approximately 25 meters in open field. It can be reduced by obstacles such as reinforced concrete or sources of electrical interference.
What to do if the remote control does not respond?
First check the A23 battery of the remote control. Ensure the sockets are powered and the connected device is on. Place sockets at least 1 m apart to avoid interference.
What does the IP44 rating mean?
IP44 indicates protection against water splashes from all directions. However, this protection is only ensured with an IP44 Schuko socket and by inserting the plug correctly (long element facing down).
Can I use these sockets indoors?
Yes, they can be used indoors, but their IP44 design makes them particularly suitable for outdoor use (garden, terrace). Follow the same safety instructions.
How to erase all programming memory of a socket?
Hold down the Function button until the LED flashes, then press it again briefly. The socket will emit two clicks and the connected device will turn on/off twice to confirm complete erasure.
Is it possible to connect multiple sockets on the same channel?
Yes, you can assign multiple sockets to the same channel (1-4) and group (A-D). They will then all be controlled simultaneously by that key.
What battery does the remote control use and how to replace it?
The remote control requires an A23 battery (included). Open the battery compartment on the back, replace it respecting polarity, then close.

6. Functions

The BEARWARE outdoor wireless socket set allows you to switch your electronic devices on and off from a distance using the remote control. This not only saves time, effort and energy costs, but also reduces the risk of fire due to electronics parts that are switched on constantly.

7. Setting up

Remove the wireless socket and the remote control from the packaging. The next step is to configure the individual wireless sockets. A button is provided on the front of every wireless socket which you can use to activate the programming process.

Press and hold the “Function” button on the wireless socket about 5 seconds, until the blue LED starts flashing. Then, while the blue LED of the socket is still flashing, select the desired group (A-D) on the remote control. Assign the desired button (channels 1-4) via “ON” button on the left. You can change the groups individually using the slide control in the middle of the remote control.

When you hear a clicking sound twice from the socket, the programming has been successful. You can also assign several groups (A-D) to the sockets and assign them freely using the “1, 2, 3 or 4” buttons. The sockets can be switched on (left side “ON”) or off (right side “OFF”). By using the “G” keys, all sockets can be switched on or off simultaneously in all groups.

If you want to delete a configuration, press and hold the "Function" button on the desired socket. The status LED starts flashing blue. Then select the group of configurations to be deleted on the remote control. Finally, press the button (1-4) on the "OFF" side to which the outlet is connected in order to confirm the deletion

Example:

  • Press the button "1" on the OFF side to delete the configuration of button 1
  • Press the button "2" on the OFF side to delete the configuration of button 2

You will hear a clicking sound twice. In addition, the connected device switches itself on and off twice. Following this, the program memory is cleared.

If you want to completely clear the program memory, press and hold the "Function" button on the socket until the status LED starts flashing. Then press the button briefly once again. You will hear a clicking sound twice. Following this, the connected device switches itself on and off twice.

IMPORTANT: When plugging in the wireless socket, ensure that the socket is inserted correctly and the longer element is pointing downwards. Otherwise splash-water protection is not guaranteed. The splash-water protection is guaranteed only if IP44 safety contact plugs are used by the connected load.

Note: Ensure that the device to be connected is switched on. Otherwise it cannot be activated wirelessly. The socket used should be connected to the mains, otherwise the wireless socket also cannot connect.

Ensure that the various wireless sockets are installed at a distance of at least one meter. Otherwise it may result in interference.
