Thank you for choosing a BEARWARE product. Please read the following user manual carefully so that you can get the most from the product you have purchased.

4. Additional instructions for this device

The following devices should never be connected to the wireless sockets:

• devices whose technical parameters do not match those of the wireless sockets
• devices with integrated motor capacitor (e.g. refrigerator)
• devices which, when switched on, may inadvertently cause a fire or other damage (e.g. clothes iron)
• televisions with integrated picture tube
- The wireless sockets should be easily accessible so that they can be quickly removed from the socket in the event of emergency or danger

Use only straight plugs as the angled design is not suitable for this type of socket.

5. Additional safety instructions

• Disconnected only when the plug is removed
• Do not connect in series
• Splash-proof

• The wireless socket should be connected only to a properly installed wall socket. Please ensure that the voltage on the specification plate matches that of your domestic power supply.

• Never connect the wireless socket to a power strip or extension box under any circumstances

• The range of the remote control can be affected by many factors (e.g. reinforced concrete or electrical sources of interference). If necessary, remove the source of interference.
• Please do not insert any metallic objects into the socket!
• PLEASE NOTE! Not suitable for children under the age of 3 years as the small parts pose a choking hazard if swallowed!

6. Functions

The BEARWARE outdoor wireless socket set allows you to switch your electronic devices on and off from a distance using the remote control. This not only saves time, effort and energy costs, but also reduces the risk of fire due to electronics parts that are switched on constantly.

7. Setting up

Remove the wireless socket and the remote control from the packaging. The next step is to configure the individual wireless sockets. A button is provided on the front of every wireless socket which you can use to activate the programming process.

Press and hold the “Function” button on the wireless socket about 5 seconds, until the blue LED starts flashing. Then, while the blue LED of the socket is still flashing, select the desired group (A-D) on the remote control. Assign the desired button (channels 1-4) via “ON” button on the left. You can change the groups individually using the slide control in the middle of the remote control.

When you hear a clicking sound twice from the socket, the programming has been successful. You can also assign several groups (A-D) to the sockets and assign them freely using the “1, 2, 3 or 4” buttons. The sockets can be switched on (left side “ON”) or off (right side “OFF”). By using the “G” keys, all sockets can be switched on or off simultaneously in all groups.

If you want to delete a configuration, press and hold the "Function" button on the desired socket. The status LED starts flashing blue. Then select the group of configurations to be deleted on the remote control. Finally, press the button (1-4) on the "OFF" side to which the outlet is connected in order to confirm the deletion

Example:

• Press the button "1" on the OFF side to delete the configuration of button 1
• Press the button "2" on the OFF side to delete the configuration of button 2

You will hear a clicking sound twice. In addition, the connected device switches itself on and off twice. Following this, the program memory is cleared.

If you want to completely clear the program memory, press and hold the "Function" button on the socket until the status LED starts flashing. Then press the button briefly once again. You will hear a clicking sound twice. Following this, the connected device switches itself on and off twice.

IMPORTANT: When plugging in the wireless socket, ensure that the socket is inserted correctly and the longer element is pointing downwards. Otherwise splash-water protection is not guaranteed. The splash-water protection is guaranteed only if IP44 safety contact plugs are used by the connected load.

Note: Ensure that the device to be connected is switched on. Otherwise it cannot be activated wirelessly. The socket used should be connected to the mains, otherwise the wireless socket also cannot connect.

Ensure that the various wireless sockets are installed at a distance of at least one meter. Otherwise it may result in interference.

8. Safety instructions and liability disclaimer

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components.

Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee.

The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.

9. Disposal instructions

Electrical and electronic devices may only be disposed of in accordance with the European WEEE Directive and not with household rubbish. Components must be disposed of or recycled separately as dangerous, toxic elements can inflict sustained damage on the environment if they are disposed of incorrectly. As a consumer, you are bound by the Electrical and Electronic Devices Act (ElektroG) to return electrical and electronic goods free of charge at the end of their useful life to the manufacturer, the place of purchase or to specially set up, public collection points. The details in each case are governed by national law. The symbol on the product, the operating instructions and/or the packaging refers to these regulations. By separating materials in this way, recycling and disposing of old devices, you are making an important contribution towards protecting our environment.

10. Instructions on the disposal of batteries

With regard to the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, the supplier is obliged to draw the customer's attention to the following: As the end user, the customer has a statutory obligation to return used batteries. He can return old batteries stocked or previously stocked by the supplier in the form of new batteries to the supplier's despatch warehouse (despatch address) free of charge. The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings: Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium, Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of quicksilver.

The symbol of the rubbish bin with a cross through it indicates that the battery may not be put in household waste.
