How to use the kettle for the first time?

Fill the kettle with cold water up to the MAX mark, boil it, empty it, let it cool, rinse it, and repeat 2 to 3 times before first use.

How to clean the kettle?

Always unplug the appliance and let it cool. Clean the plastic parts with a soft cloth. Use a soft brush for limescale deposits inside and on the filter. Never immerse the kettle or base in water.

How to descale the kettle?

Use a commercial descaling product following the instructions on the package. Regular descaling is necessary to remove limescale deposits and extend the appliance's lifespan.

What to do if the kettle does not turn on?

Check that the kettle is correctly placed on its base and the power cord is plugged in. If the indicator light remains off, contact after-sales service.

Why doesn't the water boil?

Check the water level between MIN and MAX, that the lid is properly closed, and that the kettle is correctly positioned on the base. If the problem persists, the overheating protection system may have been activated if the appliance operated empty.

Does the kettle have automatic shut-off?

Yes, the kettle automatically shuts off when the water reaches boiling point. You can also stop it manually by switching the button to off.

What is the maximum water capacity?

Never exceed the MAX mark to avoid boiling water splashes. The minimum level is indicated by the MIN mark to protect the heating element.

Can I put the kettle in the dishwasher?

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.

Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Never leave the appliance and its cord unsupervised and within reach of children less than 8 years old or irresponsible persons, especially when it is plugged into the wall or when it is cooling down.

□ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.

From time to time check the appliance for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In that case, repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*). Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician(*) in order to avoid all danger.

□ Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never put it in the dishwasher.

□ Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.

□ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
☐ If your type of appliance has a separate base or a detachable cord, remove them from the water cooker when filling it. If your appliance has a fixed cord, unplug it before filling it.
□ Always fill between the minimum and maximum marks. The water must never be below the minimum mark or the heating element might be damaged. Do not overfill the jug kettle as boiling water might overflow.
☐ When using the appliance, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never raise the lid when the jug kettle is in use and when there are risks of hot water projection due to the bubbling.
☐ Be careful not to get burned by the hot steam that evaporates when the water is boiling and especially when you open the lid.
☐ Use only the base that is supplied with the jug kettle.
☐ Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
☐ Should the symbol be indicated on a certain surface, you need to be careful when handling the product. This symbol means “CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during use”.

FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION

• Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these instructions.
• This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar applications such as :
• Kitchen corners reserved for personnel in shops, offices and other professional environments.
  o Farms.
  The use by clients of hotels, motels and other environments with a residential character.
• Environments of the "bed and breakfast" type.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.

OPERATION

• Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it.
- Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to fill under the "MIN" mark and above the "MAX" mark in the kettle. You can see the level thanks to the transparent water level indicator.
- Close the lid by pressing it down until you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly.
- Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light will come on. If it does not come on, check if the jug kettle is placed correctly on its base. If the problem persists, contact the nearest customer service.
- The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling. However, you can switch it off anytime by pressing the on/off switch.
- For instant reboiling, wait until the water has cooled down and switch on the appliance again.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

• This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device which switches the appliance off if it is accidentally switched on without water.
• In this case, put the switch in off position and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then fill the jug kettle with cold water. This will reset the safety device.
• The kettle may then be used as normal.
  • Should the problem persist, please contact the nearest customer service.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.

• To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • To remove scale from the inner walls and from the filter you can use a soft brush.
• Never use abrasive products.
• On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.

Filter

• Your appliance is provided with a filter. When you want to boil water, settle the filter first.
• The filter should be rinsed clean regularly.

Descaling

To remove scale from the jug kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose. Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles and follow the product's instruction manual carefully.
