Before using the device for the first time, please read the instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. If the device is given to someone else, these instructions should also be handed over with it.

The manufacturer and importer do not accept any liability if the information in these instructions is not complied with.

Intended Use

• This device is suitable for removing stubborn dirt from, for example, crevices, edges, grill racks etc. and for polishing, for example, cars and other smooth surfaces. It can be used both indoors and outdoors.
• The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
• The device should only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
• The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Safety Instructions

This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and understand the dangers resulting from this.
Children must not play with the device.
- Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision.
Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device and the mains cable! Improper use can lead to injuries and electric shock.
- The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning the device.
- Use the battery only with the mains adapter supplied with it. Do not charge any other devices with the mains adapter supplied.
- Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains adapter in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
- Do not take the device apart! Do not make any modifications to the device! If the device, the mains cable or the mains adapter is damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service department or a similarly qualified person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.

Dangers of Injury

• Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging material. There is a risk of injury and suffocation!
• Keep animals, hair, jewellery, wide clothing away from rotating parts of the device. If something does become caught in the device, switch it off immediately.
  Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard.
  Do not use the device if it is damaged.

Danger of Electric Shock

Charge and store the device only in closed rooms.

If the device is used outdoors, make sure that it is not exposed to any rain or moisture.
Never touch the device, the mains cable or the mains adapter with wet hands.
Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Never attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
- Connect the device only to a properly installed plug socket with safety contacts whose mains voltage corresponds to the data on the rating plate. The plug socket must still be accessible after the connection has been made. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.

Remove the mains adapter from the plug socket:

• in the event of a thunderstorm,
• in the event of damage / faults (e.g. unusual noises, odour or smoke development)
• if the device has been dropped.

Have the device checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.

The device must be switched off when the mains adapter is pulled out or inserted into the plug socket. Always pull the mains adapter and never the mains cable to disconnect the device from the mains power!
- Do not use the device when it is still connected to the mains adapter or the power source.
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot surfaces. Do not wrap the mains cable around the mains adapter (danger of the cable breaking).

Danger of Fire

• Do not use or charge the device in rooms containing easily ignitable substances or poisonous and explosive fumes.
  Do not operate the device on hot surfaces or close to a naked flame.
• Do not cover the device during operation or charging in order to prevent it from catching fire.
  In the event of a fire: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the flames with a fire blanket or a suitable fire extinguisher.

Danger From Rechargeable Batteries

• Rechargeable batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Seek medical attention immediately if a battery has been swallowed.
  If the battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.
  The battery must not be taken apart, thrown into a fire, immersed in liquids or short-circuited.

Danger of Damage to Material, Property and the Device

The device should only be used if it has been completely and correctly assembled!
The attachments must have dried fully after cleaning before they can be put back onto the device.
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or wide temperature variations.

• Do not drop the device or subject it to heavy impacts.
  Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer.
• Keep the device out of the reach of children and animals in a cool, dry place which is protected from direct sunlight.

Attachments

• Brush attachment, large: Ideal for cleaning tiles, wooden or stone floors and lots of other surfaces indoors and outdoors.

• Brush attachment, small: Ideal for cleaning edges and corners and for crevices and other surfaces which are difficult to reach, e.g. in a bathroom, WC, kitchen and on a patio and in the car.

• Polishing attachment: For polishing all kinds of smooth surfaces, e.g. car rims, tiles, etc.

Before Initial Use

CAUTION!

• Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation, among other dangers!

• Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied and Device Overview" chapter) and possible transport damage. If you find any damage to the components, do not use them (!), but contact our customer service department.

• Remove any films or stickers that may be present from the device and accessories.
• Charge up the battery (see the "Charging Up the Battery" chapter).

Charging Up the Battery

CAUTION!

■ Risk of short-circuits! Do not insert any conducting objects (e.g. screwdrivers or similar items) into the charging socket.
The battery may only be charged using the mains adapter which is supplied with the device. Do not use the mains adapter to charge up other batteries.
Pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket if it is not going to be used for a lengthy period of time.
It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you first use the device in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. The first charge will last for 10-12 hours.

1. Open the closure (1) on the handle (9) and connect the mains adapter to the charging socket (B) and then plug it into a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket. The charge control lamp (A) lights up.

2. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for approx. 10-12 hours on the first charge and then for approx. 5 hours. The charge control lamp (A) goes out when the battery is fully charged.

3. Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power and then from the device.

4. Seal the closure (1) again.

Assembly

• Plug the handle (9) into the main unit (6). It must click audibly into place.
• If the extension rod (2) is to be used, plug it into the main unit (6) and then plug the handle (9) onto the extension rod (2). Both parts must be heard to engage in one another.
• To remove the extension rod (2) or the handle (9), press the release button on the handle (8) and pull it off. In addition, press the release button on the extension rod (7) and pull it out of the main unit (6).

Attaching / Removing Attachments

• Plug the attachment you want onto the main unit (6) so that the markings on the attachment and main unit point towards each other. The attachment must be heard to engage in place.
• To remove the attachment, simply pull it off the main unit (6).

Use

CAUTION!

• Keep animals, hair, jewellery, wide clothing away from rotating parts of the device. If something does become caught in the device, switch it off immediately.
  The device should only be used if it has been completely and correctly assembled!
  Always switch off the device first before attaching or removing attachments!
  Do not use the device when it is connected to the mains adapter.

Switch the device off after each surface has been cleaned as this will considerably increase the operating time on each battery charge.

1. Plug on the attachment you want (see the "Assembly" chapter).
2. Press the On / Off switch on the handle (9) to switch on the device.
3. Guide the attachment over the surface which is to be cleaned or polished.
4. To switch off the device, press the On / Off switch on the handle (9) again.
5. Clean the used attachment after use (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).

Cleaning and Storage

CAUTION!

Make sure that the device is switched off before cleaning it!

• Never immerse the device, the mains adapter or the mains cable in water or other liquids.
  During cleaning make sure that no liquid gets into the main unit, the handle or the extension rod. Only the attachments may be cleaned with water.
  Only reassemble the device once all of the parts are completely dry.

• Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the housing. They could damage the surfaces.

The attachments may lose some of their colour over time. This is normal and does not have any adverse effect on function. However, if one of the attachments is damaged or worn, it must be replaced.

• Clean the housing of the main unit (6), the handle (9) and the extension rod (2) with a damp, soft cloth if necessary. Then dry them with a soft cloth.
• Regularly remove hair and fluff from the attachments and if necessary clean them with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Then allow them to dry completely!
• Remove the polishing cloth from the attachment and then wash it through with water and mild detergent. Caution! It must not be placed in the washing machine!
• Check the mains adapter and the mains cable regularly for any damage.
• Charge up the battery after each use (see the "Charging Up the Battery" chapter).
• Store the device and the accessories in a dry place that is protected from sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals.

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, first check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself.

Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!

Problem Possible cause / solution
The device only works slowly or does not start.	• Is the battery fl at? Charge up the battery (see "Charging Up the Battery" chapter).
The motor performance is too weak. The attachment does not rotate correctly.	• Is the battery too weak? Charge up the battery (see the "Charging Up the Battery" chapter). • Is the brush attachment heavily clogged up? Have hairs become caught on the motor shaft? Clean the attachment. Remove the hairs from the motor shaft. • It is also possible that some pieces of dirt will be too solid to be dissolved by the device. Soak such pieces of dirt or treat them with special agents.
The charge control lamp does not light up when the device is connected to the mains power.	• Is the mains adapter connected to the plug socket and the connecting socket on the device properly? • Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket. • Check the fuse of the mains connection. • Is the battery fully charged?

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a recycling centre.

The battery should be removed prior to disposal of the device and disposed of separately from the device.
