Intended Use

  • This device is suitable for removing stubborn dirt from, for example, crevices, edges, grill racks etc. and for polishing, for example, cars and other smooth surfaces. It can be used both indoors and outdoors.
  • The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
  • The device should only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
  • The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and understand the dangers resulting from this.

- Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision.

Danger of Electric Shock

Charge and store the device only in closed rooms.

If the device is used outdoors, make sure that it is not exposed to any rain or moisture.
Never touch the device, the mains cable or the mains adapter with wet hands.
Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Never attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
- Connect the device only to a properly installed plug socket with safety contacts whose mains voltage corresponds to the data on the rating plate. The plug socket must still be accessible after the connection has been made. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.

Remove the mains adapter from the plug socket:

  • in the event of a thunderstorm,

    If the battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.
    The battery must not be taken apart, thrown into a fire, immersed in liquids or short-circuited.

CAUTION!

CAUTION!

■ Risk of short-circuits! Do not insert any conducting objects (e.g. screwdrivers or similar items) into the charging socket.
The battery may only be charged using the mains adapter which is supplied with the device. Do not use the mains adapter to charge up other batteries.
Pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket if it is not going to be used for a lengthy period of time.
It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you first use the device in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. The first charge will last for 10-12 hours.

  1. Open the closure (1) on the handle (9) and connect the mains adapter to the charging socket (B) and then plug it into a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket. The charge control lamp (A) lights up.
  2. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for approx. 10-12 hours on the first charge and then for approx. 5 hours. The charge control lamp (A) goes out when the battery is fully charged.

  3. Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power and then from the device.

  4. Seal the closure (1) again.

Assembly

  • Plug the handle (9) into the main unit (6). It must click audibly into place.
  • If the extension rod (2) is to be used, plug it into the main unit (6) and then plug the handle (9) onto the extension rod (2). Both parts must be heard to engage in one another.
  • To remove the extension rod (2) or the handle (9), press the release button on the handle (8) and pull it off. In addition, press the release button on the extension rod (7) and pull it out of the main unit (6).

  • Plug the attachment you want onto the main unit (6) so that the markings on the attachment and main unit point towards each other. The attachment must be heard to engage in place.

  4. To switch off the device, press the On / Off switch on the handle (9) again.
  5. Clean the used attachment after use (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).

CAUTION!

Make sure that the device is switched off before cleaning it!

  • Never immerse the device, the mains adapter or the mains cable in water or other liquids.
    During cleaning make sure that no liquid gets into the main unit, the handle or the extension rod. Only the attachments may be cleaned with water.
    Only reassemble the device once all of the parts are completely dry.

  • Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the housing. They could damage the surfaces.

The attachments may lose some of their colour over time. This is normal and does not have any adverse effect on function. However, if one of the attachments is damaged or worn, it must be replaced.

  • Clean the housing of the main unit (6), the handle (9) and the extension rod (2) with a damp, soft cloth if necessary. Then dry them with a soft cloth.
  • Regularly remove hair and fluff from the attachments and if necessary clean them with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Then allow them to dry completely!
  • Remove the polishing cloth from the attachment and then wash it through with water and mild detergent. Caution! It must not be placed in the washing machine!
  • Check the mains adapter and the mains cable regularly for any damage.
  • Charge up the battery after each use (see the "Charging Up the Battery" chapter).
  • Store the device and the accessories in a dry place that is protected from sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals.
