How to install the CNPS10X Performa on an Intel LGA 1151 socket?

To install on LGA 1151, use the provided backplate and screw in the mounting brackets. Apply a small amount of thermal paste (size of a rice grain) on the CPU. Secure the cooler by tightening the screws in a cross pattern step by step.

Which thermal paste is recommended?

The cooler is supplied with Zalman ZM-STC2 thermal paste. If you use another, choose a high-quality silicone-based or liquid metal paste, but avoid conductive pastes that could cause short circuits.

Is the fan PWM?

Yes, the 120 mm fan uses a 4-pin PWM connector, allowing automatic speed control by the motherboard based on CPU temperature.

Can I overclock my CPU with this cooler?

The CNPS10X Performa is designed to dissipate up to 180W TDP, making it suitable for moderate overclocking. For extreme overclocking, a more powerful cooler is recommended.

How to clean the cooler?

For cleaning, use a soft cloth or compressed air. Avoid chemicals. If you remove the fan, dust off the blades and fins. Reassemble correctly.

Is the cooler compatible with tall memory modules?

Yes, the design of the CNPS10X Performa offers good clearance (about 45 mm). It does not interfere with memory modules unless they are very tall. In that case, install the modules in the farthest slots.

What to do if the fan is noisy?

Check that the fan is securely mounted, no cable touches the blades, and the PWM curve is correct in the BIOS. A persistent noise may indicate a defective bearing; then replace the fan.

Are there safety precautions during installation?

Wear gloves to avoid injury. Do not touch the fan blades while it is running. Avoid any contact of thermal paste with skin or eyes.

How to verify that the cooler is properly installed?

After installation, check that the cooler does not move and that the screws are evenly tightened. Turn on the PC and monitor CPU temperature at idle (30-40°C) and under load (70-85°C).

Is the cooler guaranteed?

Zalman offers a 2-year warranty on the CNPS10X Performa, covering manufacturing defects. Keep the proof of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation or excessive overclocking.
