How to use the LUGA60 grill plate for the first time?

Before first use, disassemble the plate and clean it with the pans using a soft damp cloth. Plug the appliance into a 230 V socket, ensure the switch is on 0. Turn the switch to I to preheat for 5 minutes. A slight smoke smell may occur, this is normal.

How to clean the plate and pans?

Always unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. The pans can be washed with soapy water. The cooking plate and base are cleaned with a clean damp cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners, hard brushes, alcohol or gasoline. Never immerse the appliance in water.

Important warning:

• DO NOT OPERATE this raclette set near water sources or flammable liquids.
• DO NOT OPEARTE this raclette set on or near any hot surface. (Hot plate, electric stoves etc).
• Ensure the raclette set is placed on a stable, secure surface to eliminate the possibility of tipping over or avoid any water in the set.
• Closed supervision is necessary when this raclette set is used by children. Never operate this appliance unattended.
  ● Always operate this raclette set from an earthed domestic 220V-240V power socket.
• Use of an extension cord is not recommended as it may overheat and cause risk of fire. However, if an extension cord must be used, the cord should be at least 1.0mm^2 in diameter.
• Never try to touch the hot surface of this raclette set before it is cool down.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory. or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

PREPARATION BEFORE USE

● Take apart the grill plate, pans clean with a soft damp cloth. Place your appliance on the level and stable surface. Then put the crepe plate on the top of the unit.
- Check that the voltage marked on the product corresponds with your supply voltage. Ensure the controller is in the "0" position before plug in.
- When using this raclette grill for the first time, there may be a smell of smoke coming from the surface of the heating element. This is normal because of the oily protective coating in production.

OPERATION

• Connect the raclette to the power supply. Turn the switch from "0" TO "I" position and the indicator light is on for working, then pre-heat the raclette set for 5 minutes.
• For slow cooking, put the food on the small pans then place them on the bottom plate. Or place your food directly on the grill plate for the purpose of grilling.
• When you have finished using the raclette, turn the switch to "0" position and unplug it from the socket. Wait until the appliance is completely cool down before moving or cleaning.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

1. Always unplug the appliance and allow cooling before cleaning.
2. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
3. All surfaces can be cleaned with a clean damp cloth.
4. All the pans can be washed in water. If stains still appear, it is recommended to use soap.
5. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp utensils to clean the raclette.
6. Clean inside with a clean damp cloth.
