Safety Instructions
- This appliance is for indoor/household use only. Do not use outdoors.
- This appliance is not designed for commercial or industrial use; it is for household use only.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be closely supervised at all times to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. - Only use the popcorn maker out of the reach of children because the contents get very hot.
- Do not operate this appliance if the power cable or plug is damaged. If either is damaged, return it to Duronic for service or repair by professional technician.
• Never try to replace the parts and repair the unit by yourself. - Never open and repair the machine yourself. Do not modify the machine in any way that is not described in the instructions for use. The machine contains live parts. Repairs may only be carried out by Duronic, using original spare parts and accessories.
• Always operate the appliance on a dry, smooth, even and stable surface. Do not place the unit on a hot surface. - Do not operate the machine or handle the plug with wet hands.
- Do not immerse in water or other liquids. Cleaning should be done as per instructions in this manual.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the power socket if you are going to be absent for long periods.
- Make sure that the appliance and its mains cable are not located close to hot surfaces.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not use appliance for anything other than making popcorn.
• Do not leave unattended while in use.
• Extreme caution must be used when lifting out the popcorn. - If an extension lead/cable is needed to reach the appliance to a mains power socket that is too far away out of reach of the machine's accompanying cable, please ensure that:
- The marked electrical rating of the extension lead is at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;

• The appliance is of the grounded type,
that the extension cable should be a grounding 3-wire cord.
- No other appliance is plugged into the same extension lead.
- The extension cable is safely positioned to avoid it being pulled on by children or animals, or being tripped over.
- Please refer to the rating label for the maximum continuous usage time (5 min is the maximum usage time), with at least a 10-minute break between each use.
• This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

If the machine is operated with a defective or damaged mains cable, there is a potential danger of fatal electric shock. Never use a machine which is damaged or has a damaged mains cable.
How to use
- Place the appliance on a dry, flat and even surface.
- Before first use, wipe over the popcorn maker and accessories with a damp (well wrung) cloth, then dry thoroughly.
- Re-assemble the popcorn maker, ensuring all parts are in place ready for use.
- Plug in the appliance into the nearest mains plug socket.

You do not need to pre-heat the appliance before use.

- Using the measuring cup, measure the popcorn kernels and add into the corn-in-let. One full measure (50g) is enough.

Do not overfill the machine with popcorn.
If it is overfilled it could disturb the function of the machine or stop it working.

Only plain popcorn kernels are to be used.
Do not add any other ingredients during popping such as: oil, butter, margarine, syrups, salt or sugar, as damage will occur.

Switch on the popcorn maker. After a few moments the continuous popping action will automatically feed Popcorn from the heat chamber out through the top cover, where it will be guided down naturally into the large bowl. This process will last about 3 minutes.

When all of the corn has popped,
turn off the popcorn maker and remove the plug from the mains socket.
- Remove the top cover.
Now the popcorn bowl can be removed and taken with you to eat the popcorn.

Take care when removing the top cover and
measuring cup straight away as they will be hot.

If you want to make more popcorn, wait 10-12 minutes for the machine to cool down before removing the remaining kernels from the last batch and re-filling the machine with fresh kernels.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Before cleaning, remove the mains plug from the mains plug socket.
- Make sure the popcorn maker has cooled down completely before cleaning.
- Empty any leftover popcorn or kernels.
- Clean the plastic parts of the body of the machine with a damp cloth, and then dry afterwards.
- Clean the top cover, measuring cup and popcorn bowl in warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly before storing away.

Never use abrasive products as they could damage the popcorn maker.
Storage
When the popcorn maker is not in use, disconnect it from the mains plug socket and store away in a dry place, out of reach of children.
