Frequently Asked Questions - EMRH608BX EAS Electric
How to install the EMRH608BX hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Fix the hood to the wall using the provided plugs, respecting safety distances (60 cm minimum above an electric hob, 70 cm for a gas hob). Connect the air outlet to a 150 mm diameter exhaust duct (or 120 mm with adapter). Plug in the power supply after ensuring the voltage matches that indicated on the rating plate.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminum grease filters can be washed in the dishwasher at 60 °C or by hand with a non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent. Let them dry completely before replacing. It is recommended to clean them every 2 months of normal use.
Why is the hood noisy?
A normal noise level can reach up to 65 dB(A) at maximum speed. If the noise is abnormal, check that the filters are clean and properly installed, that the exhaust duct is not obstructed, and that the hood is firmly fixed to the wall. A vibrating noise may come from motor imbalance or loose parts.
The LED lights do not turn on, what to do?
First check that the power supply is correct (fuse or circuit breaker). If the LEDs are burnt out, they cannot be replaced individually; contact after-sales service for a replacement of the lighting module. Also ensure that the control buttons are not stuck.
Can I use the hood in recirculation mode?
Yes, the EMRH608BX hood can operate in recirculation mode. To do this, you must install an activated charcoal filter (not supplied) instead of the outlet grille. The charcoal filter should be changed every 3 to 4 months depending on use. Note that this mode is less efficient than external evacuation.
What is the safety distance between the hood and the cooking surface?
The minimum distance is 60 cm for an electric hob and 70 cm for a gas hob. Respect these distances to avoid any risk of overheating or fire. Consult the manual for specific recommendations for your model.
How to adjust the hood speeds?
Use the push buttons on the control panel: press the '-' button to decrease the speed and '+' to increase it. There are 3 normal speeds and an intensive function (if available). The intensive speed automatically returns to the previous speed after a few minutes.
The hood does not turn on at all, what to check?
Check the power outlet and fuse. If the hood is directly wired, check the circuit breaker. Make sure the power button (symbol ⏻) is pressed. If nothing works, call an authorized technician.
What is the power consumption of the hood?
The motor power is 150 W, the LED lighting is 3 W. In normal use, consumption is about 0.15 kWh per hour at maximum speed. The hood is rated A in energy efficiency.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts (filters, LED bulbs, buttons) are available from EAS Electric customer service or authorized dealers. Always use original parts to ensure safety and performance. The model number EMRH608BX will help you identify the correct references.
