ARRANGING FOOD IN THE APPLIANCE
- Refrigerator compartment is used for storing fresh food for few days.
- To reduce humidity and the consequent increase in frost, never place liquids in unsealed containers in the fridge compartment. Frost tends to concentrate in the coldest parts of the evaporating liquid and in time will more frequent defrosting will be required.
- Never place warm food in the refrigerator. Warm food should be allowed to cool at room temperature and should be arranged to ensure adequate air circulation in the fridge compartment.
- Nothing should touch the back wall of the appliance as it will cause frost and packaging to stick to it. Do not open the fridge compartment door too frequently.
- Arrange meat and cleaned sh (wrapped in packages or sheets of plastic) which you intend to use in 1-2 days, in the bottom section of the fridge compartment.
- Store fruit and vegetable items loose in the crisper containers. Freezer compartment
- Use the freezer for storing deep-frozen or frozen food for long periods of time and making ice cubes.
- Do not store fresh or warm food with frozen food as it can thaw the frozen food.
- When freezing fresh food (e.g. meat, sh and mincemeat), divide it into portions that you will consume in one sitting. “Door Open” Indicator;
- The “Door Open” indicator on the lock slide indicates whether the door is closed properly or not.
- If the red indicator is visible, the door is still open.
- If the red indicator is invisible, the door is properly closed.
- Observe that the freezer door should always be kept closed properly. This will prevent food inside the freezer from defrosting; it will avoid heavy ice and frost build-up inside the freezer and an unnecessary increase in energy consumption. Ice tray
- Fill the ice tray with water and place in the freezer compartment.
- After the water has completely turned into ice, you can twist the tray as shown below to remove the ice cubes. Visual and text descriptions on the accessories section may vary according which model you have.EN -23-
- When storing frozen food; the instructions shown on frozen food packaging should always be followed carefully and if no information is provided, food should not be stored for more than 3 months from the purchase date.
- When buying frozen food ensure that these have been frozen at suitable temperatures and that the packing is intact.
- If a frozen food package shows signs of humidity and abnormal swelling it is probable that it has been previously stored at an unsuitable temperature and that the contents have deteriorated. Do not buy such food.
- The storage life of frozen food depends on the room temperature, thermostat setting, how often the door is opened, the type of food and the length of time required to transport the product from the shop to your home. Always follow the instructions printed on the packaging and never exceed the maximum storage life indicated.
- The maximum amount of fresh foods that can be loaded in the freezer within 24 hours is indicated on the name plate ( see freezing capacity). CLEANING AND MAINTENANCEPART 4.
- Disconnect the unit from the power supply before cleaning.
- Do not wash your fridge freezer by pouring water on it.
- Make sure that no water enters the lamp housing and other electrical components.
- The refrigerator should be cleaned periodically using a solution of bicarbonate of soda and lukewarm water.
- Clean the accessories separately with soap and water. Do not clean them in the dishwasher.
- Do not use abrasive products, detergents or soaps. After washing, rinse with clean water and dry carefully. When you have nished cleaning, reconnect the plugto the mains supply with dry hands.
- Clean the condenser with a broom at least twice a year. This will help you to save on energy costs and increase productivity. THE POWER SUPPLY MUST BE DISCONNECTED.EN -24- Defrosting Defrosting the fridge compartment:
- Defrosting occurs fully automatically in refrigerator compartment during operation; the defrosted water collected by the evaporating tray and evaporates automatically.
- The evaporating tray and water drain hole (back of the refrigerator crisper shelf) should be cleaned periodically to prevent the water from collecting on the bottom of the refrigerator instead of owing out. Defrosting the freezer compartment:
WARNING: Never use sharp metal tools, unless recommended by manufacturer, for this
operation as they can damage the refrigeration circuit. After a period of time, frost will build up in certain areas in the freezer compartment. The frost, accumulated in the freezer compartment, should be removed periodically (use the plastic scraper if available). Complete defrosting will become necessary if the frost layer exceeds 3-5 mm to maintain the efciency of the freezer.
- The day before you defrost, set the thermostat dial to position “5” to freeze the foods completely.
- During defrosting, frozen foods should be wrapped in several layers of paper and kept in a cool place. The inevitable rise in temperature will shorten their storage life. Remember to use these foods within a relatively short period of time.
- Set the thermostat knob to position “ “ and switch off the appliance.
- Leave the door open to accelerate defrosting. Remove the defrost water from the compartment.
- Clean the interior by hand with lukewarm water and a little detergent. Never use abrasive products or aggressive cleaning agents.
- Dry the inside of the unit, plug on the mains, and set the thermostat knob to position “5”. After 24 hours, reset the thermostat to the desired position.EN -25- Replacing the light bulb When replacing the bulb of the fridge compartment;
1. Unplug the unit from the power supply,
2. Press the hooks on the sides of the light cover top and remove the light cover

- Before transporting or changing the installation position, all the moving objects (ie,shelves, crisper…) should be taken out or xed with bands in order to prevent them from getting damaged.
TRANSPORTATION AND CHANGING OF
INSTALLATION POSITIONEN -26-
What to do if your refrigerator performs poorly Check that:
- You have not overloaded the appliance,
- The doors are closed properly,
- There is no dust on the condenser,
- There is enough place at the rear and side walls. If there is noise: The cooling gas which circulates in the refrigerator circuit may make a slight noise (bubbling sound) even when the compressor is not running. Do not worry this is quite normal. If you hear any other noises, check that:
- The appliance is level,
- Nothing is touching the rear of the appliance,
- The objects on the appliance are vibrating. If there is water in the lower part of the refrigerator Check that: The drain hole for the water is not clogged (use defrost drain plug to clean the drain hole) Recommendations
- In case of a sudden power loss, or unplugging and plugging in the plug to the electrical socket, the compressor protective thermal element will open as the pressure of the gas in the cooling system of your refrigerator is not yet balanced. Your refrigerator will start to operate 4 or 5 minutes later, this is normal.
- The cooling unit of your refrigerator is hidden in the rear of the appliance. Therefore, water droplets or ice may form on the rear surface of your fridge due to the operation of the compressor at specied intervals. This is normal. There is no need to perform a defrosting operation unless the icing is excessive.
- If you do not intend to use your fridge for a long time (e.g. in summer holidays), set the thermostat to “•” position. After defrosting, clean your fridge and leave the door open to prevent humidity and smell.
- If a problem persists after you have followed all the instructions above, please consult to the nearest Authorised Service Centre.
- The appliance you have purchased is designed for domestic use and can only be used at home and for the stated purposes. It is not suitable for commercial or common use. If the consumer uses the appliance in a way that does not comply with this, we emphasise that the manufacturer and the dealer will not be responsible for any repair and failure within the guarantee period.EN -27- Tips for saving energy
1. Install the appliance in a cool, well ventilated room , but not in direct sunlight and not near
a heat source (radiator, cooker.. etc). Otherwise use an insulating plate.
2. Allow warm food and drinks to cool down outside the appliance.
3. When thawing frozen food, place it in the refrigerator compartment. The low temperature
of the frozen food will help to cool the refrigerator compartment when it is thawing. This will help to save energy. If the frozen food is put out, it results in a waste of energy.
4. Cover drinks or other liquids when placing them in the appliance Otherwise humidity
increases in the appliance. Therefore, the working time gets longer. Also covering drinks and other liquids helps to preserve smell and taste.
5. Try to avoid keeping the doors open for long periods or opening the doors too frequently
as warm air will enter the cabinet and cause the compressor to switch on unnecessarily often.
6. Keep the covers of the different temperature compartments (crisper, chiller ...etc ) closed
7. Door gasket must be clean and pliable. Replace gaskets if worn.EN -28-
