How to fill and use the Kalorik TKG TMUG 1000 mug?

Open the lid, fill with cold water between the MIN and MAX marks, place the mug on the base, select the desired temperature, plug in and turn on. The device stops automatically.

What are the three available temperature ranges?

The ranges are: 40-50 °C (warm), 60-70 °C (medium) and 80-99 °C (hot). Select by turning the mug on the base to the corresponding indicator.

Is the keep warm function automatic?

Yes, once the temperature is reached, the mug automatically keeps the drink at that temperature for 30 minutes. You can stop it manually with the switch.

Can I immerse the mug or the base in water?

No, neither the mug nor the electric base should be immersed or put in the dishwasher. Clean the exterior with a soft cloth.

How to descale the mug?

Use a commercial descaling product following the instructions on the package. Do not use abrasive products.

What to do if the indicator does not light up?

Check that the mug is properly placed on the base and that the lid lock is open. Make sure the plug is connected and the outlet works.

Is the appliance safe for children?

The appliance can be used by children over 8 years under supervision. Never leave the appliance unattended within reach of children under 8 years.

What is the maximum capacity of the mug?

The maximum capacity corresponds to the MAX mark inside the mug. Do not exceed this level to avoid spillage.

Is the power cord detachable?

No, the cable is fixed to the electric base. Do not wrap the cable around the appliance to avoid damage.

Can I use the mug without the electric base?

No, the mug must always be placed on the electric base to heat. It cannot be used on another heat source.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.

Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Never leave the appliance and its cord unsupervised and within reach of children less than 8 years old or irresponsible persons, especially when it is plugged into the wall or when it is cooling down.

☐ When using the appliance, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never raise the lid when the appliance is in use.

☐ Make sure the appliance is unplugged and completely cooled down before cleaning and storing it.

☐ Should the symbol be indicated on a certain surface, you need to be careful when handling the product. This symbol means “CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during use”.

(*) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

To clean any residue left from the manufacturing process, the first heated water should be discarded.

OPERATION

• Always remove the mug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.
• Open the mug by lifting the lid.
• Fill the mug with water, between MIN and MAX inside marking.
• Put the mug onto the power base and turn it toward the steam marking at the bottom to select the temperature.

Choose for a temperature range between 80-99°C.

Choose for a temperature range between 40-50°C.

Choose the intermediate position for a temperature range between 60-70°C.

Note: make sure to leave the lid lock (3) open whenever the mug is connected to the power base.

• Plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light will turn on, indicating that the appliance is operating.
• The travel mug will switch off automatically when the liquid reaches the desired temperature. However, you can stop it at any time by pressing the ON/OFF switch.
• The keep-warm function automatically heats up your beverage to the selected temperature during the next 30 minutes.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance and let it fully cool down.
• To clean the outer surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• To remove stains or scale from the inner surfaces of the mug you can use a soft brush.
• Never use abrasive products.
• Never immerse the mug or the power base in water nor place it in the dishwasher

Descaling : To remove scale from the mug, use available products made especially for this purpose. Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles.
