How to use the Hamilton Beach 25380 grill plate?

Make sure the drip tray is in place. Place the grills or plate by inserting the end into the fixed tab and spreading the center tabs. Spray a non-stick coating before heating. Plug in the appliance, set the desired temperature with the rotary knobs. The Ready indicator lights up when the temperature is reached. After use, turn the knobs to MIN and unplug.

Are the parts dishwasher safe?

Yes, the grills/plate and drip tray can be washed in the dishwasher or with warm soapy water. Never place the base in water or the dishwasher.

What is the maximum temperature of the appliance?

The maximum temperature is 232 °C (450 °F). Use only utensils that can withstand this temperature to preserve the non-stick coating.

Are the grills and plate interchangeable?

Yes, the model 25380 comes with two surfaces: a grill for grilling and a smooth plate for pancakes, eggs, etc. You can install them as needed by spreading the tabs.

How to prevent food from sticking?

Spray a non-stick cooking spray on the surface before heating. Use utensils suitable for non-stick surfaces. Avoid aerosol oil sprays containing additives.

What to do if grease does not drain properly?

Check that the grills are correctly installed: the end must rest in the fixed tab and the center tabs must be spread to allow drainage into the drip tray.

Does the appliance heat slowly?

Allow the appliance to preheat for 10-15 minutes before cooking. Make sure the grills are properly installed. Use on a circuit shared with other high-power devices may slow heating.

Can I use an extension cord?

Yes, if the cord is too short, use an approved extension cord with electrical ratings equal to or greater than the appliance (120 V, 15 A). Install it to avoid tripping hazards.

How to clean the base?

Unplug and let it cool completely. Clean the base with a cloth dampened with soapy water then dry. Never immerse the base, cord, or plug in water.

What does the warranty cover?

The one-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from misuse, modifications, or normal wear. Keep your original sales receipt.

To insert and remove grids, pull clips away from the unit to release.
Insert end of grid into fixed latch, and rest grid on center latches. Spread center latches to allow grids to fall into place.

How to Use the Grill/Griddle (cont.)

Use nonstick cooking spray before heating. Power ON light will turn on as soon as the unit is plugged in. The READY light (one per cooking surface) will turn on as soon as the desired temperature is reached on each side.

Use only utensils which are high-heat resistant ( -450^/232^ ) and safe for nonstick surfaces. This will help prolong the life of the nonstick coating.

In grill mode, grease will drain in center into the drip tray. Make sure the drip tray is in place.

Care and Cleaning

Turn all controls to "MIN" before unplugging unit. Unplug; allow to cool completely. Remove and empty drip tray. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers.

Limited Warranty

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.

This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.

This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse.
