USING YOUR APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME

  1. Take away all the packaging materials from the outside and inside of the kettle.
  2. Before first use, make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate on the kettle is compatible with the voltage of your power supply.
  3. If you need to use an extension cord, it must be grounded.
  4. To clean the inside of the kettle before first use, fill it with water then heat the kettle up. Change the water and repeat twice. Finally, discard the water.

OPERATING YOUR APPLIANCE

  1. Open the lid. Fill the kettle with between 0.50L and 1.7L of water (i.e. the minimum and maximum levels). Replace the lid and make sure it locks in place. Do not fill through the spout.
    Note: If you fill water below the minimum level (0.50L), the kettle may stop even before the water is heated. If instead you exceed the maximum level (1.7L), the water may overflow the kettle when it boils.
  2. Plug the base to the mains. Put the kettle on the base by following the instructions of this manual.
  3. Press the START button to switch on the unit.
  4. If the indicator lights up, it means that the kettle is switched on. After the water has heated for some time, power will automatically be switched off and the indicator light will turn off.
  5. If you want to turn off the power before the water is boiled, you can stop the kettle by lifting the START button.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
