Function

Spring USA's Unlimited Induction Range, item #SM-300CR, is a portable, product holding range intended for countertop use. The range features a durable, all-black housing with touch controls. The range has been designed specifically to keep food warm. Food must be at or above serving temperature before being placed on the range.

NOTICE: The induction range only maintains temperature – it does not cook or continue to cook food.

SM-300CR 11D-120 1 60 30O 2.5 NEMMA 5-15P

Daisy Chaining:

The Unlimited Induction Range has a built-in receptacle located in the back of the unit that allows for daisy chaining. The maximum number of Unlimited Range units allowed for daisy chaining into one 15-amp/120-volt circuit is 5 units.

Installation

Inspect all parts of the induction range prior to installation and use. If the unit is damaged, do not use. Contact a supplier for a replacement.

Ensure the installation location has dedicated power. The Unlimited Induction Range can be used as a countertop unit or built-in unit.

To prepare the induction range for countertop use, simply place the unit on a flat, level surface. There must be at least 1.2" (3 cm) of space available around the induction range for proper ventilation on the countertop.

To install the induction range as a built-in unit follow the below steps:

NOTICE: Countertop thickness must not exceed 2.0".

  1. Ensure the installation location has proper ventilation. There must be at least 7" of available space under the mounted induction range and the inside temperature of the cabinet must not exceed 90°F/32°C.

  2. Remove the control panel from the body of the induction range. Simply pull the panel straight out by the bottom corners of the panel. See Figure 1 for reference. The control panel will be mounted separately for easy access.

Figure 1. Control Panel Removal

  1. Position the provided template in the intended installation location, allowing a minimum of 4" of countertop space on each side of the induction range. Cut the countertop using the template.
  2. Insert the induction range into the cutout. The induction range will sit 0.4" (10 mm) above the surface of the countertop. Apply a thin bead of 100% rubber silicone sealant around the surface perimeter of the mounted induction range.
  3. To mount the control panel, position the provided template on a plane or panel perpendicular to the induction range. Center the control panel to the induction range whenever possible. Cut the intended surface using the template.
  4. Insert the control panel into the cutout and secure with (4) mounting screws.
  5. Connect the control panel cable to the induction range.

Operation

To operate the induction range, induction-ready vessels must be used.

• Glass serving vessels are not suited for use on the induction range.
- Vessels must have a flat base in order to make full contact with the range. Vessels that are footed, or that have a raised ridge, are not suited for the induction range.
• Vessels must have a base diameter greater than 4.7".

NOTICE:

Do not touch the top surface of the induction range immediately after heating and removing a vessel. The top surface may be hot due to heat transferred from the vessel.
