Before connecting your appliance to the power supply, check that the voltage stated on the rating label of your appliance corresponds to the voltage in your home. A different voltage could damage the appliance.
The plug is the only way to unplug the appliance and should therefore be accessible at all times. To turn off main power to the appliance, turn it off and then detach the plug from the outlet.
The appliance must be grounded. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages that may occur as a result of usage without grounding.
INSTALLATION
Install the appliance in a dry, well ventilated room. The installation location should neither be exposed to direct sunlight nor near a heat source, e.g. a cooker, radiator, etc.
To ensure adequate ventilation for the appliance, allow a minimum of 10 cm of airspace on each side of the cabinet.
For uneven surfaces, front feet can be aligned.
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
This appliance is designed to operate in ambient temperature between 16^ and 38^ . If these temperatures are exceeded, i.e. colder or warmer, the appliance will not operate correctly. If the ambient temperatures are exceeded for long periods, the temperature in the freezer compartment will rise above -18^ and food spoilage may occur.
BEFORE PLACING FOOD IN THE APPLIANCE
- Remove all packaging.
- Allow the appliance to run empty for 2 – 3 hours so the compartments can cool to the appropriate temperature.
- Clean the inside of the appliance with warm water and a little liquid detergent to remove manufacturing and transportation dust.
POWER FAILURE
If there is a power failure, do not open the door. Frozen food should not be affected if the power failure lasts for less than 7 hours. Do not refreeze frozen foods that have thawed completely. The food may be dangerous to eat.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
he appliance is controlled with a temperature control knob located inside the appliance. Adjust the control knob as desired to suit your individual preference.
0 is off setting 1 is cold setting 7 is coldest setting

In the 0 position the appliance does not operate (the cooling system is switched off), but power supply is not interrupted.
The running time and temperature are affected by where the appliance is located, how often the door is opened and the temperature of the room the appliance is located in.
When you use the appliance for the first time or after defrosting, adjust the control knob to the coldest setting for at least 2 hours before introducing food to be stored, and then readjust to the middle setting.
MOVING YOUR APPLIANCE
If the appliance is turned off for any reason, wait for 10 minutes before turning it back on. This will allow the refrigeration system pressures to equalise before restarting.
- Turn off the appliance and unplug it from the mains socket. Remove all food. Also remove all mobile parts (shelves, accessories, etc.) or fix them into the appliance to avoid any shock.
- Relocate and install. If the appliance has been left on its side for any length of time, leave it standing upright for at least 10 minutes before turning on.
Your appliance uses isobutane (R600a) as a refrigerant. Although R600a is an environmentally friendly and natural gas, it is explosive. Therefore you should be careful during shipment and installation to prevent your appliance's cooler elements from being damaged. In the event of a leak caused by damage to the cooler elements, move your appliance from open flame or heat sources and ventilate the room where the appliance is located for a few minutes.
DOOR OPEN WARNING LIGHT
If the door is left open for approximately 60 seconds, the LED light will flash 3 times and then stop flashing for a few seconds. The LED light will repeat this cycle until the door is closed.
FREEZING AND STORING FOOD IN THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT
Use the freezer compartment
- To store deep - frozen food.
- To make ice cubes.
- To freeze food.
Note: Ensure that the freezer compartment door has been closed properly.
Purchasing frozen food
- Packaging must not be damaged.
- Use by the ‘use by /best before/best by/’ date.
- If possible, transport deep - frozen food in an insulated bag and place quickly in the freezer compartment.
Storing frozen food
Store at -18°C or colder. Avoid opening the freezer door unnecessarily.
Freezing fresh food
Freeze fresh and undamaged food only.
To retain the best possible nutritional value, flavour and colour, vegetables should be blanched before freezing.
Aubergines, peppers, zucchini and asparagus do not require blanching.
Note: Keep food to be frozen away from food which is already frozen.
- The following foods are suitable for freezing: Cakes and pastries, fish and seafood, meat, game, poultry, vegetables, fruit, herbs, eggs without shells, dairy products such as cheese and butter, ready meals and leftovers such as soups, stews, cooked meat and fish, potato dishes, soufflés and desserts.
- The following foods are not suitable for freezing:
Types of vegetables, which are usually consumed raw, such as lettuce or radishes, eggs in shells, grapes, whole apples, pears and peaches, hard - boiled eggs, yoghurt, soured milk, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
Packing frozen food
To prevent food from losing its flavour or drying out, place food in airtight packaging.
- Place food in packaging.
- Remove air.
3.Seal the wrapping.
4.Label packaging with contents and dates of freezing.
Suitable packaging:
Plastic film, tubular film made of polyethylene, aluminium foil, freezer containers.
These products are available from specialist outlets.
Recommended storage times of frozen food in the freezer compartment
These times vary depending on the type of food. The food that you freeze can be preserved from 1 to 12 months (minimum at -18°C).
| Food | Storage time |
| Bacon, casseroles, milk | 1 month |
| Bread, ice cream, sausages, pies, prepared shellfish, oily fish | 2 months |
| Non-oily fish, shellfish, pizza, scones and muffins | 3 months |
| Ham, cakes, biscuits, beef and lamb chops, poultry pieces | 4 months |
| Butter, vegetables (blanched), eggs whole and yolks, cooked crayfish, minced meat (raw), pork (raw) | 6 months |
| Fruit (dry or in syrup), egg whites, beef (raw), whole chicken, lamb (raw), fruit cakes | 12 months |
Never forget:
- When you freeze fresh foods with a ‘use by /best before/best by/’ date, you must freeze them before the expiry of this date.
- Check that the food was not already frozen. Indeed, frozen food that has thawed completely must not be refrozen.
- Once defrosted, food should be consumed quickly.
Making ice cubes
Fill the ice cube tray (not supplied) with 34 full of drinking water and place in the freezer compartment. If the ice cube tray is stuck to the freezer compartment, loosen with a blunt tool only. To loosen the ice cubes, twist the ice cube tray slightly or hold briefly under flowing water.
STORING FOOD IN THE FRIDGE COMPARTMENT
The appliance helps to extend the storage times of fresh perishable foods.
Fresh food care
For best results:
- Store foods that are very fresh and of good quality.
- Ensure that food is well wrapped or covered before it is stored. This will prevent food from dehydrating,
deteriorating in colour or losing taste and will help maintain freshness. It will also prevent odour transfer.
- Make sure that strong smelling foods are wrapped or covered and stored away from foods such as butter, milk and cream which can be tainted by strong odours.
- Cool hot foods down before placing them in the fridge compartment.
Dairy foods and eggs
- Most pre-packed dairy foods have a recommended ‘use by /best before/best by/’ date stamped on them. Store them in the fridge compartment and use within the recommended time.
- Butter can become tainted by strong smelling foods so it is best stored in a sealed container.
- Eggs can be stored in the fridge compartment.
Red meat
- Place fresh red meat on a plate and loosely cover with waxed paper, plastic wrap or foil.
- Store cooked and raw meat on separate plates. This will prevent any juice lost from the raw meat from contaminating the cooked product.
Poultry
- Fresh whole birds should be rinsed inside and out with cold running water, dried and placed on a plate. Cover loosely with plastic wrap or foil.
- Poultry pieces should also be stored this way. Whole poultry should never be stuffed until just before cooking, otherwise food poisoning may result.

- Keep shellfish chilled at all times. Use within 1 – 2 days.
Precooked foods and leftovers
• These should be stored in suitable covered containers so that the food will not dry out.
- Keep for only 1 – 2 days.
- Reheat leftovers only once and until steaming hot.

Vegetable and fresh fruit
- The vegetable container is the optimum storage location for fresh fruit and vegetables.
• Take care not to store the following at temperatures of less than 7^ C for long periods:
Citrus fruit, melons, aubergines, pineapple, papaya, courgettes, passion fruit, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes

natural_image
Illustration of assorted vegetables including carrots, tomatoes, and a pomegranate (no text or symbols)- Undesirable changes will occur at low temperatures such as softening of the flesh, browning and/or accelerated decaying.
- Do not refrigerate avocados (until they are ripe), bananas, and mangoes.
DEFROSTING
The fridge compartment defrosting process is carried out automatically every time the compressor stops. The defrost water is automatically routed to the drain port and into a tray placed on the top of the compressor to the rear of the appliance from which it evaporates.
Make sure the drain port on the fridge at the rear of the appliance is kept clear.

natural_image

Warning symbol with exclamation mark and circular dot (no text or numbers)The symbol indicates the location of the coldest part of your refrigerator. This area is in between the vegetable compartment at the bottom and the symbol at the top, or the shelf at the same height. In order to maintain the temperature in this area, make sure not to change the position of this shelf.
In pulsed air refrigerators (equipped with a fan) or No Frost models, the coldest area symbol is not show because the temperature is uniform throughout the interior.
INSTALLING THE TEMPERATURE INDICATOR
To help you adjust your refrigerator correctly, it is equipped with a temperature indicator that you can use to control the average temperature in the coldest area.
WARNING: This indicator is only intended for use in your refrigerator. Do not use it in another refrigerator (as the coldest area will not be the same) or for any other purpose.
TEMPERATURE INDICATOR: THE COLDEST PART OF YOUR REFRIGERATOR

text_image
Diagram showing a refrigerator interior with a close-up view of the door and labeled component ①CHECKING THE TEMPERATURE IN THE COLDEST AREA
• Using the temperature indicator, you should regularly check that the temperature is correct in the coldest part of your refrigerator. The temperature inside your refrigerator depends on a number of factors, such as the outside room temperature, how full your refrigerator is, and how often you open the door. Take these factors into consideration when adjusting your appliance.
When the indicator shows "OK", it means your thermostat is set properly and the temperature inside your refrigerator is correct.
If the indicator is white it means the temperature is too high, so you should increase the thermostat and wait for 12 hours before checking the indicator again.
After loading the refrigerator or opening the door, the indicator may turn white for a few seconds.
