INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

BEFORE USE

  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning.
  • All wiring must be in accordance with the national and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified electrician.
  • Be sure to remove all packaging material from inside the appliance.

FAN INSTALLATION

  • See "FAN INSTALLATION" at the beginning of the instruction manual. (Steps 1-6).
  • This fan can be mounted on a regular (no-slope) or vaulted ceiling. Other installations, such as a flush mount, are not available for this fan.
  • IMPORTANT: In the package, you will find the material for fixing the bracket to the ceiling (conventional ceiling). This material is not suitable depending on what type of roof. If any doubts, ask a professional and use the fixing that you think is the most suitable.

  • Cut off the power before any installation or assembly operation.
    • Take the motor out of the packaging. To avoid damaging the housing surfaces, mount the motor on a soft surface.

  • In order to avoid electric shock, make sure that the power supply has been previously disconnected.
  • The electrical installation must be done in accordance with national regulations.
  • It is recommended that the installation be done by a professional.
  • Install the fan at a minimum distance of 2,50 meters from the ground or other objects.
  • The light of the fan can be connected in two ways. One way is to control the fan and the light through the remote control (See wiring diagram). The other is to control the light through the wall switch and the fan through the remote control. This change must be made by a licensed electrician.

ASSEMBLING THE BATTERIES OF THE REMOTE CONTROL

  • Caution: During the handling of batteries, do not touch both poles at the same time, as this will provoke the partial discharge of the stocked energy, therefore, affecting longevity.
  • Remove the cover of the battery compartment.
  • Check that the plastic covering that protects the battery has been removed (some batteries are sold with a protective covering).
  • Put the battery in its compartment, respecting the polarity. The batteries have to be 1,5 V AAA.
  • Replace the cover of the battery compartment.
  • It is essential that the batteries should always be the same kind and have the same charge. Never mix alkaline batteries with Carbon-Zinc ones and/or rechargeable ones.
  • Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not going to use it for some time. If the battery is left in the device for too long when it's not used, there is a risk of leakage. If that happens, avoid any contact with the liquid, as it can cause chemical burns. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts the eyes, additionally seek medical help.

  • Rotation direction change: The device has a button (3) that allows the direction of rotation of the blades to be changed.
  • Summer function: The movement of the blades generates a breeze that reduces the high ambient temperatures and provides a pleasant sensation of freshness.
  • Winter function: In this way, the fan drives the hot air accumulated on the ceiling of the room downwards, balancing the room temperature and creating a cosy climate.
  • Light: Press button (5) to turn the light on/off. To change colour, press also the button (5).

ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE

MAINTENANCE

• Here are some suggestions to help you maintain your fan.
- Because of the fan's natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. (It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.)
- Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discolouration or tarnishing. Do not use water when cleaning. This could damage the motor or possibly cause an electric shock.
- There is no need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings.

CLEANING

- Cut off the power before undertaking any cleaning task.

  • Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry it.
  • Do not use solvents or products with an acid or base pH, such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to avoid damage to the inner parts of the appliance.
  • Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
  • If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface may degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the appliance's useful life and could become unsafe to use.
