Frequently Asked Questions - RP102A Fenton

How to connect my phone via Bluetooth?
Set the Auto Stop switch to ON. The turntable automatically enters Bluetooth mode (blue LED flashing). Activate Bluetooth on your phone and search for 'Fenton recordplayer'. Once connected, the LED stays solid. You can then stream your music.
Why does the platter not spin after placing the tonearm on the record?
Check that the Autostop switch is set to ON. If it is and the platter still does not spin, make sure the record is correctly placed and the selected speed is appropriate. Otherwise, set Autostop to OFF for manual operation.
How to clean the stylus of the cartridge?
Use an anti-static brush or a small soft brush to remove dust. Avoid any liquid products. Clean from back to front to avoid damaging the stylus.
The sound is very low, what to do?
Increase the volume using the rotary knob. Also check the volume on your source device (phone, etc.) if using Bluetooth or AUX. Ensure the cartridge is clean and the tonearm is correctly positioned.
Can I connect external speakers?
Yes, use the RCA line output to connect an amplifier or powered speakers. You can also use the headphone output for headphones.
How to record a vinyl onto my computer?
Connect the turntable to your PC via the USB cable. Install the Audacity software (provided on CD or downloadable). In Audacity, select 'Stereo Mix' as the microphone source, then in Preferences, choose the USB audio device. You can then record in real time.
What does the flashing blue light mean?
The flashing blue light indicates that the turntable is in Bluetooth mode and searching for a device to connect. When it becomes solid, the connection is established.
The auto-stop does not work properly: the record stops too early or does not stop. What to do?
Some records may cause issues. Set the Autostop switch to OFF to disable auto-stop. You will then need to manually lift the tonearm at the end of the record.
Can I use headphones with this turntable?
Yes, plug your headphones (3.5 mm jack) into the headphone jack on the front. The volume is adjusted with the same knob as the built-in speakers.
Is an adapter needed for 45 rpm records?
