What to do if the pump does not start?

Check that the mains socket is live and the fuse is at least 10 A. If the impeller is blocked, disassemble and clean the pump. The thermostat may have triggered in case of overheating; wait for cooling.

Why does the pump not prime?

Ensure the suction valve is immersed and the pump body is filled with water. Check the suction line for leaks and clean the strainer. The suction height must not exceed 8 m.

How to bleed air from the pump?

Open the air vent screw (6) and the pressure line. Fill the pump housing through the pre-filter screw. Once water flows without bubbles, close the vent screw.

What do the LEDs on the pump mean?

Green and yellow LEDs on: pump running, water is being drawn. Green and red: pump pressurized, stopped. Green steady and red flashing: dry run protection triggered. Press Reset after solving the issue.

How to maintain the pump before winter?

Completely drain the pump by removing the water drain plug. Rinse it with clean water and store it in a dry, frost-free place between 5 and 30 °C.

What type of water can be pumped?

Clear water (soft), rainwater, light wastewater. Prohibited for combustible, gaseous, explosive liquids, acids, alkaline detergents, sap or drinking water. Max temperature 35 °C.

How to clean the pre-filter?

Unscrew the pre-filter screw with the supplied key, remove the filter and non-return valve. Tap on a flat surface or wash with soapy water, rinse and air dry. Do not use aggressive products.

What to do if flow rate is insufficient?

Check the suction height (max 8 m) and clean the strainer. If water level drops, place the suction hose lower. If the pump is dirty, clean it and replace worn parts.

How to install the suction line?

Use a reinforced hose at least 19 mm in diameter. Route the line sloping upward from the water source to the pump. Avoid bends above the pump. Install a suction valve or check valve.

What are the wear parts and the warranty?

The wear parts are the pre-filter and the filter cartridge. The warranty is 60 months from the date of purchase, valid for manufacturing or material defects, excluding professional or non-compliant use.

3. Proper use

Applications

• Irrigation and watering of green areas, vegetable beds and gardens.
  • Operation of lawn sprinklers.
• For drawing water from ponds, streams, rainwater butts, rainwater cisterns and springs
  • For supplying service water

Transport media:

• For the pumping of clear water (fresh water), rainwater or light suds/service water.
• The maximum temperature of the fluid must not exceed +35°C if the equipment is operated permanently.
• Do not use the equipment to pump inflammable, gassing or explosive fluids.
• The pumping of aggressive liquids (acids, alkalis, silo seepage etc.) as well as liquids with abrasive substances (sand) must likewise be avoided.
  • This equipment is not designed to convey drinking water.

The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the

manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this.

5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data.

As a basic principle, we recommend the use of a preliminary filter and a suction set with suction hose, intake cage and non-return valve, in order to prevent long priming periods and unnecessary damage to the pump as a result of stones and solid foreign bodies.

5.1 Connecting the intake line

• Fasten the suction hose (at least approx. 19 mm ( 34 ") plastic hose with spiral reinforcement) to the suction connection approx. 42 mm (R1 14 male thread) of the equipment either directly or via a threaded nipple.
• Use the connection adapter (11) to reduce the thread of the suction connection to approx. 33.3 mm (R1 male thread).
• The suction hose used should be equipped with an intake valve. If the intake valve cannot

be used, a non-return valve should be installed in the intake line.

• Position the intake line so that it rises from the water withdrawal point to the equipment. Avoid positioning the intake line higher than the pump, as this would delay the escape of air bubbles from the intake line and impede the priming process.
• Install the intake and discharge lines in such a way that they do not exert any mechanical pressure on the equipment.
• The intake valve should be low enough in the water to ensure that if the water level falls, the unit will not run dry.
• A leaking intake line will draw in air and therefore not draw in any water.
• Prevent the intake of foreign bodies (sand, etc.). If necessary, install a coarse filter for this purpose.

5.2 Connecting the discharge line

• The discharge line (min. 19 mm (3/4")) must be connected to the 33.3 mm (R11G) female thread discharge line connector of the equipment either directly or with the aid of a threaded nipple.
• With the right couplings it is also possible, of course, to use a 13 mm ( 12 ) delivery hose. The smaller delivery hose results in a lower delivery rate.
• During the priming operation, fully open any shut-off mechanisms (spray nozzles, valves, etc.) in the pressure line so that the air can escape without obstruction.

5.3 Electrical connections

• Connect the appliance to a 220-240 \~ 50 Hz socket-outlet with earthing contact. Minimum fuse 10 ampere.
• A built-in thermostat protects the motor from overloading and blocking. The pump is switched off automatically by the thermostat if overheating occurs and is switched on again automatically after cooling.

6. Operation

6.1 Using for the first time

• Install the equipment on a solid and level surface.
- Remove the ventilation screw (6).
- Unscrew the coarse filter screw (4) using the supplied wrench (10) and remove the coarse

filter (12) together with the non-return valve (13) as shown in Figure 3. Now you can fill the pump housing with water via the coarse filter screw (4). Filling the intake line accelerates the intake process.

• Unscrew the coarse filter screw (5) using the supplied wrench (9) and remove the coarse filter (7) together with the non-return valve (8) as shown in Figure 2. Now you can fill the pump housing with water via the coarse filter screw (5). Filling the intake line accelerates the intake process.
  • Assemble in reverse order.
• Open the discharge line.
• Connect the mains cable.
  • The priming operation starts automatically.
• After finishing the work, pull out the power plug of the equipment.

6.2 LED indicator and flow switch

The flow switch cannot be adjusted or switched, it is fully automatic. There are only 3 LEDs which indicate its operating status. (Figure 4)

Green and yellow are lit:

The pump is in operation and starts up immediately; a consumer for drawing off transport fluid is open.

Green and red are lit:

1. The pump is building up pressure (e.g. a water tap is closed) and then switches off automatically.
2. The pump is running dry without transport fluid. The flow switch will make 3 attempts to eliminate the dry running before the dry running guard finally trips.

Green is lit, red is fl ashing:

The dry running guard has tripped; it is no longer possible to draw in the transport fluid. Use the pump's operating manual to find the cause of the fault (e.g. a leaking intake line) and rectify it. Then restart the pump by pressing the Reset button on the flow switch.

7. Replacing the power cable

Danger!

If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales service or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.

8. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

The equipment is almost completely maintenance free. In order to ensure a long service life, however, we recommend that you regularly check and care for the product.

The equipment must be disconnected from the power supply (pull the power plug) prior to performing any maintenance.

8.1 Servicing

• If the equipment becomes clogged, connect the discharge line to the water line and disconnect the suction hose. Open the water line. Switch on the equipment several times for approx. two seconds. This should resolve the majority of clog-related problems.
• Replacing the mains cable: Important: Disconnect the equipment from the power supply! A defective mains cable may only be replaced by a qualified electrician.
  • There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

8.2 Cleaning the coarse fi iter insert

• Clean the coarse filter insert at regular intervals, and replace it if necessary.
• Remove the coarse filter screw (4) and coarse filter (12) together with the non-return valve (13) (Figure 3).
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or petrol to clean the coarse filter and the non-return valve.
• Clean the coarse filter and the non-return valve by tapping them on a flat surface. In cases of stubborn dirt, first clean with soapy water, then rinse with clear water and air-dry.
  • Assemble in reverse order.

9. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic. Never place defective equipment in your household refuse. The equipment should be taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of such a collection point, you should ask in your local council offices.

10. Storage

• Store the equipment and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in its original packaging.
• If the pump is not going to be used for a long time or has to be removed for the winter months, rinse it out with water, empty it completely and allow it to dry.
• The equipment must be completely drained before it is subjected to frost.
• After long stoppages, make sure the rotor turns correctly by briefly switching the pump on and off.
