How to set the current limit without load?
Turn on the power supply, turn the CURRENT regulator to set the desired value. No short circuit is needed. The display switches automatically after 3 seconds.
Why is the output current limited to 5 A?
The front sockets (AUX OUTPUT) are limited to 5 A max. For higher currents, use the rear screw terminals (MAIN OUTPUT) which support the full rated current.
How to use the Preset function to store a fixed voltage?
Set the MODE switch to Set, select a slot (P1/P2/P3) with the RECALL button, then adjust voltage and current with the front regulators. Then switch to Preset mode to recall the values.
Why is the 'REAR CONTROL' display lit?
Remote control mode is active. To return to local control, set the MODE switch to Normal.
How to connect an external potentiometer for voltage adjustment?
Use a 5 kΩ potentiometer. Connect terminal 1 to one end, terminal 2 to the wiper, and terminal 4 to the other end. Plug the remote connector into the Remote Control socket on the rear, then select Remote Ctrl mode.
What to do if the OVP protection triggers?
The display shows OVP. Turn off the device, disconnect the load, then turn it on again. If the fault persists, check the applied external voltage or contact customer service.
How to reset the presets P1/P2/P3?
Press and hold the VOLTAGE button for 30 s to enter the menu. Turn VOLTAGE until rPr is displayed, then turn CURRENT to select YES. Press CURRENT to confirm and VOLTAGE to exit.
What is the SENSE function and how to use it?
The SENSE function compensates for voltage drops in cables. Connect the two SENSE cables (min. 0.34 mm²) to the orange terminals on the rear, then connect them directly to the load respecting polarity. The voltage remains stable even at high current.
Why doesn't the fan run continuously?
The fan is temperature-controlled and only activates when needed. During the self-test at startup, it should run briefly. If it does not work at all, check that no obstruction prevents ventilation.
Can I charge a battery with this power supply?
No, this power supply is not a battery charger. It does not have an automatic charge termination function. Use a suitable charger to recharge accumulators.
