How to clean the toaster?

Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Remove the crumb tray to empty and clean it. Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth then dry it. Never immerse the toaster in water. For the inside, turn it upside down over a sink and shake to remove crumbs.

Why doesn't my toaster turn on?

Check that the plug is properly inserted and that the power outlet is live. The eject lever only engages when the appliance is plugged in. If the toaster does not heat up, try another outlet. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to adjust the browning level?

Use the electronic control to select a level between 1 (light) and 7 (dark). For first use, start at level 4. The setting depends on the bread type and your preferences.

What to do if the bread gets stuck?

How to use the bun warmer?

Place rolls or other foods on the bun warmer located above the toaster. Do not place them directly on the toasting slots. Select the browning level and lower the lever. The toaster will warm the rolls while toasting the slices.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

A damaged cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazard. Do not use the appliance if the cord is damaged.

Can I toast rolls?

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.

In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
4. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
6. The bread may burn, therefore do not use the toaster near or below combustible material, such as curtains.
7. This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system

Should any pieces of toast or other items happen to get stuck in the toaster, never try to remove them with a knife or any other object, since contact with live parts can cause an electric shock. Let the appliance cool down and take the plug out of the socket before removing the bread.

BEFORE USE

1. Place the toaster on a flat and heat resistant surface. Make sure that there is enough ventilation around the toaster.
2. Make sure the crumb collector is placed tightly on the bottom of the toaster.
3. Operate without bread once or twice to burn off production residues. When your appliance is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odour. This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not affect the safety or your appliance.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Insert the power plug and cable into the socket and turn on the toaster.
2. Insert up to two slices of bread in the browning slot.
3. Use the browning control switch to select the desired degree of browning between 1 and 7 (1 = lightest; 7 = darkest degree of browning). No. 4 is recommended for first use. The degree of browning chosen depends on the type of bread and individual taste.
4. Press the toasting lever down until it engages. The toasting process starts automatically.
5. Please remember that the toasting lever will not engage if the power plug is not inserted in the socket and the toaster is not switched on.
6. The toaster switches itself off automatically and the toasted bread is ejected when the desired degree of browning has been reached. The "CANCEL" switch can always be used to cancel the browning process.
   Do not place any rolls etc. directly on the toast aperture but place them on the bun warmer.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Before cleaning, make sure that you have switched off the appliance and removed the power plug and cable from the socket. Let the toaster cool down first.
2. Pull the crumb collector out to clean it up, reset it before using the appliance again.
3. Clean the outside of the toaster with a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Never dip the toaster in water to clean it!
4. To clean the inside, turn it upside down and shake it over the sink until any crumbs adhering to the inside fall out.
   Clean the crumb collector regularly to avoid crumbs accumulating inside.
