How to assemble the sandbox?

Follow the provided assembly instructions. First assemble all parts without tightening, then tighten at the end. Assembly must be carried out by two adults. Do not leave children nearby during assembly.

Place it on a flat surface, at least 2 m from obstacles such as fences, trees, clotheslines or electrical cables. Avoid concrete, asphalt or hard surfaces.

How to maintain the wood?

Apply a suitable protective stain or paint each year. This protects the wood from weather and mold. The wood is treated against saliva and sweat, but has limited weather resistance.

Is the sandbox weather resistant?

No, solid wood is only partially resistant. It is recommended to treat it annually with a stain to prevent cracks and mold. In case of prolonged heat, cracks may appear but often disappear when temperatures drop.

Can children play unsupervised?

No, never leave them unsupervised. Explain to them how to play properly and regularly check the condition of the sandbox.

What to do if screws become loose?

Tighten the screws regularly with a screwdriver. Check the entire sandbox for any loose parts and tighten them to ensure stability.

How to clean the sandbox?

Regularly remove debris and leaves. For a deep clean, use a mild detergent and water. Rinse well and let dry. Sand rough areas if necessary.

Introduction

With the purchase of this solid wood sandbox you have acquired a high quality product. Prior to the assembly, we recommend that you read the instructions carefully to ensure a trouble-free construction. Please keep these instructions.

Before you begin the assembly, please check the completeness of all parts supplied. In the event that the enclosed screws or other components are not supplied in the complete amount, we kindly ask you to contact the customer service department.

During the assembly make sure that all parts are initially loosely connected to each other and only tighten their connections when the assembly is completed.

Construction, assembly and movement of the roof may only be carried out by adults! It is recommended to perform the installation of the roof cover with 2 people. Around 140 kg of sand is required to reach the filling level of 12 cm.

Maintenance instructions

During the use of the product the screws should be tightened from time to time in order to ensure that everything is fixed firmly and nothing is loose. The sandbox is made of solid wood. With a natural product like wood, irregularities in colour and texture are a typical characteristic and do not count as a defect.

Drying cracks can develop through prolonged heat periods, which will mostly degenerate back again when the temperatures fall. The wood of the seating arrangement is treated with an environmentally friendly water-based saliva and sweat-proof coating, and is therefore only semi-weatherproof. To prevent weathering and mildew formation it is recommended to treat the wood with an appropriate wood stain, and to repeat the process annually.

Safety instructions

• Do not set up over concrete, asphalt or other hard surfaces.
• Set up on a level surface with a clearance of at least 2 m from other structures or obstacles such as fences, garages, houses, overhanging branches, washing lines, electric wires etc.
• If the sandbox is assembled by adults, they should immediately dispose of the entire original packaging, since the foil packaging poses a hazard for children (danger of suffocation!).
• The assembly of the sandbox should be performed without the presence of children, since the supplied screws etc. could be life-threatening if swallowed.
• Teach the children how to properly use the sandbox and never leave it unattended while they are playing.
• Check the wooden parts of the sandbox from time to time for worn or broken places and smooth them again with sandpaper.
• Perform the assembly of the sandbox on a level as possible base-surface within a spacious environment.
