SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - Read the instrucons carefully before use. - Take special care when children are near the device. - Do not use the device for purposes other than those for which it was intended.

Do not immerse the device, cable or charger in water or other liquids. - Do not leave the device unaended during operaon. - Always remove the plug from the mains socket when not in use or before cleaning.

Never use a damaged device, including one with a damaged cord or plug, in which case have it repaired at an authorised service centre. - Do not use the device outdoors. - Do not hang the power cable on sharp edges or allow it to come into contact with hot surfaces.

Never ll the kele above the maximum or minimum level as overlling it may result with splashing boiling water. - Make sure the kele is turned o before placing on its base.

- The kele can be used only with the base aached to it. - Do not place the kele near a heat source or hot surfaces. - The kele should only be used with the aached lter. - The kele was produced solely for water boiling. - Use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause damage to the appliance, re or personal injury. - The device should be put on a dry, at and stable surface. - The device should be connected to a mains socket outlet with a grounding pin! - The device is intended for domesc use only.

This equipment may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons of diminished physical, mental capacity and lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment if supervision or13

instrucon is provided regarding the safe use of the equipment so that the hazards involved are understood. Cleaning and mainte- nance must not be performed by children, unless they are over 8 years old and supervised by an adult. Unsupervised children can not perform cleaning and maintenance of the product.

The appliance is not a toy and should not be used as such by children.

Keep the device and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age. - Do not pull the plug out of the power socket by pulling the cord.

- Do not turn on the kele without water inside it. - The equipment is not designed to operate using external mers or a separate remote control. - Do not connect the plug to the power socket with wet hands. - Allow the kele to cool down completely before cleaning it.

For the safety of children, please do not leave freely accessible parts of the packaging (plasc bags, cardboard boxes, polystyrene, etc.).

Before the rst use, remove all bags, sckers, tapes and transport locks from the device and its accessories.

In order to remove factory deposits, protecve lms, etc. that may be present on a brand new device, ll the kele with water to the maximum level, boil the water and then rinse the device. This operaon should be repeated at least 5 mes, by proceeding as described below.

1. Remove the kele from the power base (6) before lling with water.

2. Press the lid opening buon (3) to open the lid and ll the kele up to the desired level (no less than

0.5 l and no more than 1.7 l). Close the lid carefully (2). Put the kele on the power base (6). Turn

on the kele with the On/O switch (5).

15 to 20 seconds before turning on the kele again. If the kele is turned on without any water in it, the overtemperature safety will turn o the kele. If this happens, put the kele away to cool down for 15 minutes before lling with water.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the kele frequently of limescale. Use limescale removing chemicals dedicated to electric ket- tles (and use the instrucons for use of the chemical) or a mixture of water with vinegar or citric acid. Failure to descale the kele may result in its failure. Wipe the kele clean inside and out with a cloth. Do not clean with a wire brush, scouring pads or strong detergents. Mixing electric waste with other types of waste or disassembling those in an unprofessional manner may cause a release of substances that are hazardous to the environment and health. Used equipment should be handed-over to a point for collecon of electric waste. In order to obtain detailed informaon regarding the electric waste collecon points, the user should contact the municipal point of electric waste collecon or used equipment processing department.15
