How to assemble the KVC 3110 vacuum cleaner?

Insert the suction hose into the connection until it clicks. Place the floor brush on the lower end of the telescopic tube and the handle on the upper end. Adjust the tube length using the locking button.

How to use the vacuum cleaner on different floor types?

Use the combination floor nozzle: press the toggle switch to retract the brush for hard floors, and press again to extend it for carpets.

What to do if suction power decreases?

Check if the dust container is full or if the filters are clogged. Empty the container and clean the filters. Also ensure that the hose and tube are not blocked.

How to clean the vacuum cleaner filters?

For the main filter, remove it from the dust container, tap it or wash it with water, then dry it thoroughly. For the exhaust filter, open the cover, remove the filter, tap to remove dust or brush it, then reassemble in the correct direction.

Can the vacuum cleaner suck up liquids?

No, the vacuum cleaner is designed only for dry dust. Never vacuum liquids, as this could damage the appliance.

How to store the vacuum cleaner after use?

Turn off the appliance and unplug it. Use the cord rewind button to retract the cord. You can attach the tube with the nozzle to the vacuum cleaner for storage during short breaks.

What accessories are included with the vacuum cleaner?

The vacuum cleaner comes with a combination floor nozzle (with hard floor/carpet selector) and a crevice tool/dusting brush for furniture, creases and corners.

How to adjust the suction power?

Press the opening button (S) to remove the dust container. Pull the trigger at the bottom of the container to open the bottom and empty the dust into a trash can. Then reassemble.

Before first time use

Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center. Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately. After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care.

Do not dispose of this product as municipal waste. Return it to a designated collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Contact your retailer or local authorities for more information.

Assembling the vacuum cleaner (Part D, J, P, T)

Fig. 1 Insert the suction hose into the hose connection. Make sure that it has clicked into place.

Fig. 3 Adjust the telescopic tube to the desired length, by pressing the locking mechanism down and then pulling the telescopic tube out or pushing it together.

Use of the accessories provided Floor nozzle (Part J,K)

Operation

Fig. 7 Pull out the connection cable to the desired length and insert the power plug into a receptacle.
Fig. 8 Press the On/Off switch to turn the vacuum cleaner on/off. Use power control knob to adjust the desired power.

Tip: If the vacuum can only be guided with difficulty over carpeted areas due to excessively high suction power, decrease the suction power by opening the auxiliary air flap on the handle or by turning the power control knob.

Fig. 10 Wind the power cable around the cable storage device by pressing the automatic cable retraction button. While you are doing this keep the cable taut, if possible.

Parking system for pauses in vacuuming

Fig. 11 You can store the telescopic tube with the combination nozzle on the vacuum cleaner for short pauses while vacuuming. Insert the combination nozzle with the parking attachments into the parking system.

Cleaning and care

Warning!

• When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s).
• Never immerse any electrical parts of the product in water or in other liquids during cleaning. Never place it under running water.

Emptying the dust canister (Part 0)

Fig. 13 If the suction power diminishes, the dust container must be emptied and the filters must be cleaned. We recommend to empty the dust container outside of the house.

• Press the release button and remove the dust container.
• To empty the dust container, simply pull the release on the bottom so that the bottom of the canister opens and the dust falls out. Hold the dust canister over a rubbish container whilst you are emptying it.
• Re-assemble all of the components that have previously been removed. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.

Cleaning the main filter (Part Q)

Fig. 14 • Loosen the lid and remove the entire filter insert from the dust container. Remove the filter, loosen the cap and disassemble the filter into all of its individual parts. Tap the filter to remove the dust and clean all parts with water and dry them thoroughly.
- Re-assemble all of the components that have previously been removed. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.

Cleaning the exhaust air filter (Part I)

Fig. 15 Open the cover and take out the filter. Find a dustbin and gently pat filter until dust falls off or use a brush to clean the filter. Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Insert the filter in the right direction so that the correct side is facing the motor.
