2. Pre-heating position

Take the product out of the box. Remove all packaging material. Make sure all parts and accessories are included, and check that they do not show any signs of damage. If there are any, contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec. Dry the device completely before using it for the first time.

The device is intended to have molten chocolate flow over the tiers to create a decorative fountain-like effect. Other heat-resistant food can be cooked using the device like cheese or sauces. The device is not intended to melt chocolate. Which kind of chocolate to use It is recommended to use chocolate coating or special chocolate for fountains, which can be purchased on a store, as it is more liquid than the conventional chocolate. If conventional chocolate is going to be used, add vegetable oil to ensure it is more liquid. ENGLISH Preparing food for dipping It is recommended to use season fruits to dip in the chocolate. You can also dip biscuits, marshmallows or similar. Use a long wooden skewer or similar for dipping the food. In case the device is used with sauces instead of chocolates, sausages, asparagus or grilled food can be used for dipping. Setting up and pre-heating Place the device on a heat-resistant and stable surface. Assemble the holder into the tiers. Assemble the conveyor screw with the conveyor-screw pin. Fix the tiers, assembled with the holder, over the conveyor screw and push it against the guide tabs for the holder. Plug the device into a socket. Set the on/off lever to position 1 “pre-heating position”. The indicating light will light up. Pre-heat the device 15-20 minutes before using it. How to use Pour the molten chocolate into the filling hole. Do not overfill it. Add some vegetable oil in case the molten chocolate is too thick. In case chocolate coating is used, melt the chocolate au bain Marie and make sure it does not mix with water as it may create lumps. Set the on/off lever to “heating position” (position 2). The conveyor screw will start moving. Chocolate will start flowing downwards through the tiers. Use wooden skewers to dip the food. The device can be used continuously for several hours. After using it, turn the on/off lever to off position (0) and remove the chocolate leftovers.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the product’s surface. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquid. Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners. Clean the filling hole with a damp cloth or a soft sponge. A mild detergent can be used if necessary. Pour the chocolate leftovers into a bowl and store them if you wish. 6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately. Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

7. TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual. The warranty will not cover the following situations: The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer. The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec. Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use. The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
