How to use the cold air function?

Press the mode button to switch to cold air mode. The light will turn blue (cold air) or orange (hot air).

What to do if the appliance shuts off automatically?

This is due to overheating. Unplug it, let it cool down for a few minutes, clean the grille and turn it on again. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to clean the hair dryer?

Unplug and let it cool down. Remove the air inlet grille by turning counterclockwise. Clean with a cotton swab. Never immerse the appliance.

Can I use additional accessories?

Use only the provided concentrator nozzles. Do not insert metal objects into the grilles.

What is the ideal power for my hair?

For wet hair, use maximum power. For dry hair, use lower power to avoid damage.

How to activate the self-cleaning function?

Hold the speed button for 7 seconds. The fan will reverse direction to clean the filter. The appliance will turn off automatically after the operation.

Is it safe for use in the bathroom?

Use it with caution. Always unplug after use and avoid contact with water. Do not use near a bathtub or sink filled with water.

What to do if hair gets tangled in the air inlet?

Turn off and unplug immediately. Carefully remove the hair with a non-metallic object. Clean the grille before reuse.

How to install and remove the nozzles?

Install or remove nozzles only when the appliance is off and cool. They snap onto the air outlet.

What does the burning smell mean during first use?

This is normal. A slight odor may occur during first uses due to heating of new components. It disappears after a few minutes.

SOMMAIRE

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users. Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the outlet is grounded.

This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It is not suitable for commercial or industrial use.

Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec, in order to avoid any type of danger.

Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked. If they are blocked, the device will activate the overheat protection system.

Turn off and unplug the device from the power supply immediately after use. If used in a bathroom, make sure to unplug it always to avoid it from getting wet.

Unplug immediately the device from the socket in these cases:

Abnormal operating.

Do not let children play with the device. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

Take the product out of the box and remove all packaging material.

Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If any visible signs of damage are observed, contact Cecotec's Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION

Wash and condition your hair.

Dry it with a towel and comb it.

Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the outlet is grounded. Plug the device to a socket.

A slight odour and smoke might appear when heating the device for the first time. This is perfectly normal and indicates that the system is functioning correctly.

Additional and removable concentrator included.

Note: Make sure the device is turned off when you assemble the concentrator. Do not assemble or disassemble this component while the device is oprtating to avoid scalds.

Keep your hair 10 cm away from the air inlet while the device is operating to avoid your hair from getting stuck inside the device.

To avoid burning the hair, keep it more than 3 cm from the air outlet.

By default, the device will use hot air. Press the mode button to select the alternate temperature cycle. The indicator light will change from blue to orange.

Press the mode button again to select the cold-air mode.

Press the level selector once to select level 1.

Press the level selector for a second time to select level 2.

Press the level selector a third time to select level 3.

In case your hair is still wet, you can select maximum power.

We recommend a lower power in case the hair is dry or damaged.

Dry your hair evenly to avoid damaging it.

Unplug the device when it is not longer going to be used.

Let it cool down before storing or cleaning it.

Warning: If the product suffers overheating, it will automatically turn off. In this case, unplug it from the power supply and allow it to cool down for a few minutes. Follow the instructions on the Cleaning and Maintenance section and turn it on again. Please contact our Technical Support Service in case the problem is not solved.

Note: Hairspray contains inflammable substances. Do not use it while using the device.

When finished, press the power button to turn it off. Unplug it and store once it has cooled down.

Self-cleaning function.

To activate this function, press the speed button for 7 seconds. The fan will change the direction and the air will be emitted through the rear filter so it cleans. Once finished, the auto-cleaning system will turn off automatically.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning the device, disconnect it from the power outlet and allow the appliance to cool down.

Clean the upper part of the device with a soft damp cloth.

Do not immerse the whole unit into water or other liquids.

Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners to clean the product.

Do not twist, bend, strain, or damage the power cord in any way.

Remove the air concentrator and use a cotton bud to remove any particle on the air outlet.

Clean it with a soft cloth.

Turn the air inlet's grill counterclockwise and use a cotton bud or a toothbrush to remove any particles on the air inlet.

After cleaning it, assemble clockwise the air inlet's grill back.

6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.

Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

7. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.

The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.

The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
