How to assemble the grill stand?

Insert the connectors into the tubes, connect the short and long tubes, then attach the metal shelves with the provided screws and nuts. Mount the plastic feet under the main housing and insert the tubes into the ends.

How much water should I put in the housing?

Fill with cold water between 0.4 L and 1.0 L. Do not exceed 1.0 L to avoid overflow.

How to turn on the grill?

Make sure the metal hook is properly inserted into the hole on the control box to activate the safety switch. Plug in the appliance and turn the knob to the MAX position.

Why won't my grill turn on?

Check that the end of the metal hook is correctly inserted into the bottom hole of the control box; otherwise, the safety switch prevents operation.

How to adjust the grill height?

The grill can be fixed in the height adjustment slots to choose the high or low position. Use heat-resistant equipment to change position during cooking.

Can I use charcoal with this grill?

No, the appliance is electric and charcoal or other fuels must not be used. Use only the provided heating element.

How to clean the grill?

Unplug and allow to cool completely. Clean the heating element and control box with a dry cloth. Other parts can be washed with hot water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly before replugging.

The grill emits an odor on first use, is this normal?

Yes, a slight odor and some smoke may occur on first use. It is recommended to heat the appliance empty for 5 minutes before first cooking to burn off manufacturing residues.

What is the power of the appliance?

What to do in case of breakdown or damage?

Do not attempt to repair yourself. Contact the after-sales service or the seller. The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects, but not damage caused by improper use.

Please read these Operation Instructions through carefully before connecting your device to the mains in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use. Please pay particular attention to the information. If you pass the device on to a third party, these Operating Instructions must be handed over.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

2. Children shall not play with the appliance.

3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

4. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

5. The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.

6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

7. WARNING: Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.

8. Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.

9. The appliance may be used only for its intended purpose. No responsibility can be taken for any possible damage caused through incorrect or improper handling.

10. Before connecting the appliance to the power source, check that the current and power match those given on the rating plate.

11. Do not put the appliance or the plug in water or any other liquid. However if the appliance accidentally fall into water, unplug the appliance immediately and have it checked by a qualified person before using it again. Non-observance could cause a fatal electric shock!

12. Do not use the appliance with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the appliance itself is wet.

13. Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.

14. Never attempt to repair the appliance by yourself. This could cause an electric shock.

15. Do not allow the cord to hang over sharp edges and keep it well away from hot objects and naked flames. Remove the plug from the socket only by holding the plug.

16. Make sure that there is no danger that the cord or extension cord may inadvertently be pulled or cause anyone to trip when in use.

17. If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur.

18. This unit is not suitable for professional operation.

19. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.

20. Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and each time before it is cleaned.

21. Danger! Nominal voltage is still present in the appliance as long as the appliance is connected to the mains socket.

22. Switch off the appliance before disconnect from the mains.

23. Never use the cord to carry the appliance.

24. Before use, the appliance must be placed on a firm, flat surface and at least 50 cm away from the nearest wall or any flammable objects.

25. Attention! The appliance is become very hot! It must cool down completely, before its surface can be touched. Removing and cleaning of the barbecue grill, the control unit and the drip tray may only be done after the appliance has cooled down completely.

26. The appliance must not be stored outdoors. Indoor use only.

27. During first use, a small amount of smoke and faint smell might occur.

28. Burn hazard! Be careful when handling hot oil and fat. Beware of spitting oil and hot steam!

29. Do not move the appliance during use.

30. Due to safety reasons, if the control unit is removed from the body of the appliance, the barbecue must not be switched on.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging.
• Clean the appliance, as described in Cleaning and Maintenance.
• Switch the barbecue on for 5 minutes without food on it before first use, so that possible production residues are removed. During that time, a smell might occur but this is not a defect of the appliance.

1. Insert 8 fittings (A1) into the end of the long and short pipe openings.

2. Connect the short pipe (A3) with the long pipe (A2). Make sure they are fixed firmly.

3. Attach the short metal shelf (A4) and the long metal shelf (A5) onto the pipe. Fix with the nut (A7) and the screw (A6).

4. Assemble the other 3 pieces of stands as above process.

5. Turn the main body upside down. Fasten the four pieces of the plastic feet (A8) onto the bottom with the screws provided.

6. Place the main body on top of the stand. Insert the top of the pipes into the plastic feet (A8). Place the wire rack (A9) onto the shelves.

2. Main body assembly

1. Fill the main body with cold water. The maximum water capacity is 1.0L and the minimum water capacity is 0.4L. Do not add water that overflows the main body.

During use the water in the main body will evaporate and should be refilled. Otherwise the product will get too hot.

Note: Make sure you do not drip water on to the element.

1. Place the drip tray onto the main body. Be sure the long screw of the metal hook through the hole of the drip tray to make it sit properly. (Fig. 1)

2. Have the straight metal pipe through the two holes of the drip tray and the main body on the left and right sides. Put the two rubber sockets (C) onto the left and right sides of the straight metal pipe to avoid overheat. Screw the provided M4 nut (B) onto the long screw to fix the drip tray. (Fig. 2)

3. Place the heating element with the control box on to the main body. Make sure the end of the metal hook is inserted into the bottom hole (D) of the control box, so that the safety switch is activated. Otherwise, the appliance cannot be switched on. (Fig. 3)

4. Place the grill rack on to the main body. Fix the grill rack into the slots of the height adjustor (E) to choose a high or a low grilling position. (Fig. 4)

IMPORTANT! Use proper heat resistant equipment (not supplied) if attempting to adjust the grilling position during operation.

OPERATION

• Connect the power plug into a suitable outlet.
• Turn the control knob to the "MAX" position, the indicator light will illuminate to indicate the heating element is heating up.
• After approximately 5-10 minutes, the heating element reaches the suitable temperature. Please place your food on the grill rack for grilling. During use, you can turn the control knob back to choose your desired position. Deep frozen food should be defrosted completely before barbecuing.
• To grill food evenly, it should be turned several times during the barbecue. The barbecuing time depends on the food to be grilled.
• Caution! To avoid a heat accumulation, do not place aluminum foil or other barbecue accessories on the barbecue grill.
• During use the water in the main body will evaporate and should be refilled. Otherwise the product will get too hot.

Note: Make sure you do not drip water on to the element.

• To switch off the appliance, turn the control knob to "0" position and unplug the power cord from outlet.
• The grill rack, the heating element and the control unit and other parts must be removed only after the appliance has cooled down completely.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before cleaning, unplug and allow the appliance to cool down.
• Never immerse the heating element and the control box into water or other liquid. Clean them with a clean dry cloth only.
• The other barbecue components can be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent.
• Let the appliance dry completely before it is reconnected to the supply.
• Use no sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
