USER MANUAL MyBlend Plus BLSTPBMBP000 OSTER

1. Read all instructions before using this product.

2. To protect against electric shock, do not place or immerse cord, plugs, or

appliance in water or other liquid.

3. This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons with reduced

physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

4. Never leave appliance unattended when in use.

5. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and

before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then unplug power cord from outlet. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.

6. Avoid any contact with blades or moveable parts.

7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance

malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Do not attempt to replace or splice a damaged cord. Return appliance to the manufacturer (see warranty) for examination, repair or adjustment.

8. This appliance has important markings on the plug blade. The attachment plug is

not suitable for replacement. If damaged, the appliance shall be replaced.

9. The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended or sold by the

manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

10. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.

11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces,

including the stove.

12. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the risk of

severe injury to persons or damage to the blender.

13. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully, especially when removing the blades from the

container, emptying the container and during cleaning.

14. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assembly blades on base without

jar properly attached.

15. Always hold container while operating the appliance. If the container should turn

when the motor is turned ON, switch appliance OFF immediately and tighten the container in the threaded bottom.

16. Do not use appliance for other than intended use. Misuse can cause injuries.

Always use appliance on a dry, stable, level surface. Never fill beyond the MAX fill line.

17. Do not blend carbonated, hot or boiling liquids and ingredients, as this may

create pressure buildup. Only blend non-carbonated liquids and ingredients that are at room temperature or cooler. If the container is warm to the touch, allow to cool before opening.

18. Do not use the blender for longer than 1 minute at a time to avoid heat and

pressure buildup. Allow to cool for 1 minute between cycles.

Power Cord InstruCtIons Please follow the instructions below to ensure the safe use of the power cord.

• You may use an extension cord, if necessary, but be certain to follow these guidelines: – The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least 120/127 Volt, 60 Hz, 10A.

The extension must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop, will not be within the reach of children, and will not be tripped over. – Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse the power cord. POLARIZED PLUG This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm do not use that outlet. Sport Bottle on a flat surface with the open end facing up. Fill the Sport Bottle with your favorite ingredients. Be sure not to fill ingredients past the 600 mL. marking.

2. Fasten the Blade Assembly on the

open end of the Sport Bottle. In order to avoid accidental spills, make sure the Blade Assembly is tightly threaded onto the Sport Bottle before placing on the Blender Base.

3. Once the Blade Assembly is

secured tightly, turn the Sport Bottle over and attach to the Blender Base, aligning the graphic arrows. Twist to lock the Sport Bottle in place. See figures 2 & 3.

4. Press and hold the One-Touch

Blend Button and release when ingredients are blended to desired consistency.

5. Once blending is complete,

remove the Sport Bottle from the appliance Blender Base by turning in a counter-clockwise direction. Turn the Sport Bottle over and unscrew the Blade Assembly. Attach the Spill-Proof Drinking Lid. See figure 4. Using Your Oster

Note: For optimal performance, place desired ingredients in the Sport Bottle according to the following order: Liquids, frozen fruit or ice, fresh ingredients. Blending Tips

• Put liquids in the Sport Bottle first, unless a recipe says otherwise.

• Cut all firm fruits and vegetables into pieces no larger than 3/4 inch (1.8 cm) to 1 inch (2.5 cm).

• Don’t overload Sport Bottle. If the motor stalls, turn the blender off immediately, unplug the unit and let it cool for at least 15 minutes. Then, remove a portion of the food and continue.

• This blender will not mash potatoes, whip egg whites or substitute dairy toppings, mix stiff dough or grind raw meat. Recommended Cleaning And Storing Instructions IMPORTANT: UNPLUG BEFORE CLEANING. DO NOT IMMERSE THE BLENDER BASE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. Use a damp, soft sponge with mild detergent to clean the outside of the blender base. To clean the inside of the Sport Bottle, rinse the bottle, and pour in 2 cups of water and a small amount of detergent, and press the blend button for 15-20 seconds. Then disassemble and wash all parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry. All parts except for the blender base are also dishwasher safe. This appliance has no user serviceable parts. Any servicing beyond that described in the Cleaning Section should be performed by an Authorized Service Representative only. See warranty available online. Storing Your Blender After cleaning, reassemble Blade Assembly to open end of the Sport Bottle and then place in the blender base. Snap the drinking lid on the other end of the Sport Bottle. Recipes Rise ’N’ Shine Shake Makes 1 (18-ounce) serving1 cup milk1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved1 kiwi, peeled and quartered½ cup strawberry frozen yogurt1 tablespoon sugarPour milk into MyBlend PLUS Sport Bottle. Add strawberries, kiwi, frozen yogurt and sugar. Fasten the Blade Assembly on the open end of the Sport Bottle.Turn the Sport Bottle upside down and place it in the Blender Base, lining up the arrows on the Blade Assembly with the arrows on the Blender Base. Add walnuts, cinnamon and yogurt.
