Frequently Asked Questions - VFI7300WLWH VIKING

How to assemble two Viking refrigerators side by side?
Use the provided assembly kit including connecting plates, center rod, and heater. Follow the preparation steps: remove the side rods from the sides to be joined, install the center rod brackets, attach the heater to the right unit, then plug it in. Next, position the units, attach the connecting plates at the top and back, connect the power, slide the assembly into the opening, adjust the leveling legs, secure the anti-tip bracket, and insert the center rod.
What are the required framing dimensions for a VFI7300WLWH refrigerator?
The framing height must be between 213.4 cm and 216.3 cm, the depth is 63.5 cm. The width depends on the number of units installed. For a single unit, refer to the individual installation guide provided with the appliance.
How to install the connecting heater?
Attach the heater (item #1) to the three holes on top of the right unit using 8-18 x 1/2 in fasteners (item #7). Then plug the heater into the outlet next to the on/off switch of the right unit.
How to activate the heater after installation?
On the control panel of the right unit, simultaneously press the VAC and UP arrow buttons for 5 seconds. An alarm beep confirms activation. Note that the panel may vary by model.
How to attach the rear connecting plate?
Attach the rear connecting plate (item #5) to the threaded holes behind the units with 1/4 in-20 x 3/4 in fasteners (item #6). Do not use a drill; use a manual Allen key. Loosely attach the bracket by pivoting it to avoid misalignment.
How many people are needed for installation?
Two or more people are required to install and move the appliance due to weight and tipping risk. Keep the doors closed until fully secured.
What tools are needed for assembly?
You will need a drill, 3 in drill bits, Phillips (PH2) bits, Torx (T15 and T20) bits, 1/4 in and 5/16 in hex sockets, a 3/8 in wrench, a 1/8 in Allen key, and a rubber mallet.
How to adjust the height of the refrigerators during installation?
Use the leveling legs located under each unit. Rotate the legs using a manual ratchet, performing only 4 turns at a time to ensure uniform lifting. Make sure the units are level with each other.
Where to connect the power supply of the refrigerators?
Each unit must be plugged into a separate electrical outlet, 115 V, 60 Hz. The outlets should be located in the opening as shown on the cutout dimension diagram.
How to remove the side rods to assemble two units?
Remove the rods from the unit edges on the sides that will be in contact (rod A). Leave the rods on the sides that contact the opening. Keep the removed screws to secure the center rod in the next step.

The anti-tip bracket has several holes set up on a grid in order to better locate a wall stud. At least 4 places must be used. Anti-tip Bracket must be centered in cutout - side to side.

NOTE: Number and type of fasteners must be suitable in order to prevent tipping. For example: use wood screws into wall studs or masonry anchors if attaching to stone, brick or concrete.

If a wall stud can not be found or when installing the 18" model, use the lower section of the bracket and mount to the base board
