What is the safety distance between the hood and the cooktop?

The minimum safety distance between the cooking surface and the hood is 650 mm. Check the cooktop instructions if a greater distance is specified.

How to clean the grease filters?

The grease filters should be cleaned every 2 months (or more often with heavy use). They are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with a neutral detergent.

When should the charcoal filter be replaced?

The charcoal filter cannot be washed or regenerated. It should be replaced approximately every 4 months of operation, or more frequently with intensive use.

How to activate the intensive function?

Press the D button once to start the timed intensive speed for 6 minutes. After this time, the hood turns off automatically. Press D again to deactivate the intensive mode.

What to do if the hood does not turn on?

First, check that the hood is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Make sure the lighting button (A) or motor button (B, C, D) is pressed. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

Can I use the hood without a charcoal filter?

Yes, if you install the hood in ducted mode to the outside. The charcoal filter is only needed in recirculation mode to filter odors.

How to set the delay shut-off timer?

Press the Delay button to activate automatic shut-off after 5 minutes. This function can be activated from any speed. Press the button again to deactivate it.

Is the hood compatible with external ducting?

Yes, the hood can be installed in ducted mode. Use an exhaust duct with a minimum diameter of 120 mm and ensure the smoke path is as short as possible.

What to do if the lighting stops working?

The lighting is integrated and must be replaced by a professional. Contact customer service to order a suitable bulb or arrange for replacement.

How to maintain the exterior of the hood?

Clean the hood with a damp cloth and a neutral liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive products or solvents that could damage the surface.

Recommendations and suggestions

• The Instructions for Use apply to several versions of this appliance. Accordingly, you may find descriptions of individual features that do not apply to your specific appliance.
• The manufacturer will not be held liable for any damages resulting from incorrect or improper installation.
• The minimum safety distance between the cooker top and the extractor hood is 650 mm (some models can be installed at a lower height, please refer to the paragraphs on working dimensions and installation).
• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the rating plate fixed to inside of the hood.
• For Class I appliances, check that the domestic power supply guarantees adequate earthing. Connect the extractor to the exhaust flue through a minimum diameter 120 mm. The route of the flue as short as possible.
• Do not connect the extractor hood to exhaust ducts carrying combustion fumes (boilers, fireplaces, etc.).
• If the extractor is used in conjunction with non-electrical appliances (e.g. gas burning appliances), a sufficient degree of aeration must be guaranteed in the room in order to prevent the backflow of exhaust gas. The

kitchen must have an opening communicating directly with the open air in order to guarantee the entry of clean air. When the cooker hood is used in conjunction with appliances was supplied with energy other than electric, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 0,04 mbar to prevent fumes being drawn back into the room by the cooker hood.

• In the event of damage to the power cable, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by the technical service department, in order to prevent any risks.
• If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance specified above, has to be taken into account. Regulations concerning the dis-e charge of air have to be fulfilled.
• Use only screws and small parts in support of the hood.

Warning: Failure to install the screws or fixing device in cordance with these instructions may result in electrical hazards.

- Connect the hood to the mains through a two-pole switch having a contact gap of at least 3 mm.

Use

• The extractor hood has been designed exclusively for domestic use to eliminate kitchen smells.
• Never use the hood for purposes other than for which it has been designed.
• Never leave high naked flames under the hood when it is in

operation.

• Adjust the flame intensity direct it onto the bottom of the pan only, making sure that it does not engulf the sides.
• Deep fat fryers must be continuously monitored during use: overheated oil can burst into flames.
• Do not flambè under the range hood; risk of fire.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Maintenance

Button Function
A	Turns the lighting system on and off at maximum intensity.
	DelayActivate automatic switch-off with a 5' delay. Suitable to complete elimination of residual odours. Can be activated from any position, and is disabled by pressing the button or turning the motor off.
B	Turns the suction motor on and off at speed one.
C	Turns the suction motor on and off at speed two.
D	Turn the suction motor on at speed three. Press a second time to activate INTENSIVE speed, which is timed to run for 6 minutes, after which the hood will turn off automatically. This function is suitable to deal with maximum levels of cooking fumes. Press button D again to deactivate INTENSIVE mode and turn the motor off.
