Intended use

The product is used for lying down and is for one person over the age of 12 weighing up to 110kg. The product is intended for private use only.

Important: Read these instructions for use carefully and be sure to keep it handy!

Danger to life!

• Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. Risk of suffocation.
• Warning. This product is not suitable for unsupervised use by children due to openings that pose a strangulation hazard.
• Warning. Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Risk of injury!

• The weather conditions can affect the material! Sun, ultraviolet rays, rain, relative humidity, and temperatures affect the material.
  There is a risk that the product may not withstand the indicated load due to changes in the material and thus represents a risk of injury. Do not expose the product to the elements for unnecessarily long periods of time.

- Keep the product away from children.

• The product is not a toy.

- Use the product only for its intended purpose.

- An adult should always assemble the product.

- Do not allow the product to be used as a swing, for climbing on, or for gymnastics. Do not stand up in the product, get in feet first, or put your head in between the hang ropes.

- Ropes and materials wear out and can become frayed or fragile. Check the product for damage or wear before each use. The product may be used only when in good working order and condition!

- Use only accessories approved by the manufacturer and appropriate replacement parts on surfaces that are shock-absorbent, such as carpeting, or outdoors on grass surfaces, in order to minimise the risk when falling out of the hammock.

- Make absolutely sure that the product has been hung correctly before use.

- Leave a sufficient clearance of at least 1.5m from the sides for the hammock to swing.

Assembly

1. Assemble the product as shown in figs. B to C. For easier assembly do not tighten the screws too much at first.
   Hint: Pay attention to the alignment of the boreholes in the wooden bases (4). The big boreholes must face outwards.
2. Tighten all screws firmly.
3. Use the chain (5) and the snap hooks (6) to suspend the hammock from the wooden frame (fig. D).
4. To adjust the height for reclining, shorten or lengthen the chain by hooking the snap hook into the corresponding link in the chain (fig. D).
5. Set the product up on a flat surface (fig. 1).

Warning. Incorrect assembly can lead to serious injury.

Use

Important!

To minimise the risk of falling out of the hammock, have another person help you when climbing in and out. Always check that the product has been hung correctly before each use.

Getting in and out of the hammock without the help of another person.

1. Stand close to the middle of the hammock (fig. E).
2. Use one hand to keep the product steady. (fig. F)
3. Carefully sit down in the hammock while keeping it steady with your hand. (fig. G).
4. Lie down full length in the product. (fig. H).

Storage

• When not in use, always store the product clean and dry at room temperature.
• When stored outdoors the product should be covered by a tarpaulin. Make sure that there is adequate air circulation and keep the tarpaulin dry.
• Remember that wood can be affected by changing temperatures, humidity and other influences.
• The wood in the product is a natural material and there may therefore be slight variations in colour and structure.

Cleaning and care

• Clean the product with a soft brush and a mild solution of soap and water.
• Allow the product to dry completely after cleaning.
• Treat the product with a wood treatment oil from your specialist retailer. Treatment should be repeated several times per season. Before treatment the wood must be completely dry!
• Follow the instructions of the manufacturer of the wood treatment oil you have selected. IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.

Disposal

Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations. Packaging materials such as foil bags are not suitable to be given to children. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.

Dispose of the products and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.

The recycling code is used to identify various materials for recycling. The code consists of the recycling symbol – which is meant to reflect the recycling cycle – and a number which identifies the material.

Notes on the guarantee and service handling

The product was produced with great care and under continuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions.

The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass.

Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances.

Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
