Battery warning notices

GENERAL WARNING NOTICES
• Always keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Cleaning and maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision.
- When necessary, clean the battery and device contacts with a clean dry cloth.
- Do not expose the batteries to extreme conditions (e.g., radiators or direct sunlight).
- Handle damaged or leaking batteries with extreme caution and dispose of them properly as soon as possible. Wear gloves when doing so.
- If you come into contact with battery acid, wash the affected area with soap and water. If battery acid gets in your eye, rinse it with water and seek medical attention immediately!
- Batteries must not be swallowed! However, if this does happen, you must see a doctor immediately!
- Never throw batteries into fire or put them on hot surfaces (e.g. a radiator or a stove). Never open the battery casing or the foil or short-circuit the contacts. There is a risk of fire or explosion!
- Avoid external mechanical influences (e.g., blows, sharp objects or crushing). There is a risk of fire or explosion!
- Do not expose the batteries to temperatures below 10^ or over 45^ .

ADDITIONAL BATTERY WARNING NOTICES
- Only use batteries from the same manufacturer and of the same type.
- Remove the batteries when they are flat, or if the item is not in use for an extended period.
- New and used batteries must not be used together.
- Replace all batteries at the same time.
• Non-rechargeable batteries must not be charged. - Warning: Batteries may not be charged or re-activated by other means, taken apart, thrown into fire, or short-circuited. There is a risk of fire or explosion!
- Take note of the correct polarity (+/-) when inserting the batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries properly at municipal collection points or retail outlets.
- The connection terminals must not be short-circuited.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries!
Insert batteries
CAUTION! Observe the following instructions to avoid mechanical and electrical damage.
Before using the product for the first time, insert the included batteries.
Inserting the batteries into the car (Fig. C)
- With a suitable screwdriver, loosen the screw on the battery compartment (1e) on the bottom of the car (1) and remove the cover (1c).
- Carefully insert four batteries (3) into the battery compartment. The battery must be completely fitted into the battery holder.
Note: Check the plus/minus poles of the batteries and insert them correctly.
- Screw the battery compartment lid (1c) tightly on the bottom of the car once again.
Inserting the batteries into the remote control (Fig. E)

With a suitable screwdriver, loosen the screw on the battery compartment (2f) on the back of the remote control (2) and remove the cover (2e).

Carefully insert two batteries (3) into the battery compartment. The batteries must be completely inside the battery holder.
Note: Check the plus/minus poles of the batteries and insert them correctly.
- Screw the battery compartment lid (2e) tightly on the back of the remote control once again.
Replacing the batteries
CAUTION! Observe the following instructions to avoid mechanical and electrical damage.
Should the batteries no longer function properly, replace them as described in the insertion instructions. Remove the batteries that are in the device before inserting new ones.
Use
Turning the product on and off
- To control the product with the remote control, the car must be turned on. To do this, slide the switch (1b) on the back of the car to ON.
- When the product is not in use, the car must be turned off. To do this, slide the switch (1b) on the back of the car to OFF.
Controlling the car
The car can be steered in different directions using the remote control. To do this, hold the antenna of the remote control in the direction of the car and press as follows:
- Arrow pointing forwards (2a): Car drives forward (Fig. F).
- Arrow pointing backwards (2b): Car drives backwards (Fig. G).
- Left arrow (2c) in combination with arrow pointing forwards (2a): Car turns left (Fig. H).
- Right arrow (2d) in combination with arrow pointing forwards (2a): Car turns right (Fig. I).
- Left arrow (2c) in combination with arrow pointing backwards (2b): Car drives backwards to the left (Fig. J).
- Right arrow (2d) in combination with arrow pointing backwards (2b): Car drives backwards to the right (Fig. K).
Trimming the front axle (Fig. L)
If the car is no longer going straight ahead, even though you press the "Arrow pointing forwards" (2a) button, proceed as follows:
- If the car drifts to the right, push the trim lever (1a) to the left a little.
- If the car drifts to the left, push the trim lever (1a) to the right a little.
- Repeat steps 1 or 2 if the car still does not drive straight.
Setting the speed (Fig. M)
The car has two speed levels:

: Fast

: Slow
Slide the switch (1d) to the appropriate animal symbol to select a speed level.
Storage, cleaning
Always store the product in clean and dry condition at room temperature. Only use water to clean and wipe it dry with cleaning cloth.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with aggressive cleaning agents.
Disposal
Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations. Packaging materials such as foil bags are not suitable to be given to children. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.

Devices that are marked with the symbol shown here may not be disposed of with domestic waste. You are obliged to dispose of these kinds of used electrical and electronic devices separately. Ask your local authority about possible methods for regulated disposal. Remove the batteries from the article before disposing of it.
Dispose of batteries carefully

Please note: Batteries are hazardous waste and may not be disposed of with domestic waste by law. You can hand over used batteries free of charge at local collection points or at retail outlets. Special containers are provided here for this purpose.
Notes on the guarantee and service handling
The product was produced with great care and under constant supervision. You receive a three-year warranty for this product from the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt.
The warranty applies only to material and workmanship and does not apply to misuse or improper handling. Your statutory rights, especially the warranty rights, are not affected by this warranty. With regard to complaints, please contact the following service hotline or contact us by e-mail.
Our service employees will advise as to the subsequent procedure as quickly as possible. We will be personally available to discuss the situation with you.
Any repairs under the warranty, statutory guarantees or through goodwill do not extend the warranty period. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Repairs after the warranty are subject to a charge.
