How to install the Gembird LED2SURGB5001 LED strip?

Unpack the strip and check if it is not damaged. Clean the mounting surface. Remove the protective film on the back of the strip and press it firmly. Connect the USB connector to a 5V power adapter. The remote control is ready to use with the supplied batteries.

How to change colors?

Use the infrared remote control. Press the color buttons for a fixed color (red, green, blue, etc.) or the dynamic modes (flash, fade, strobe) for effects. The IR sensor is located on the strip's housing.

Can I cut the strip?

Yes, you can cut the strip at the cut marks located every 3 LEDs (about 5 cm). Cut only at these points. Use strip connectors to extend or reuse the pieces.

Is this LED strip waterproof?

No, it has an IP20 rating, which means it is not protected against water. Use it only indoors in dry places. Do not install it outdoors or in humid areas like bathrooms without additional protection.

What power supply to use?

The strip operates on 5V DC. Use the provided power adapter or a standard USB adapter (e.g., phone charger) capable of delivering at least 2A (12W). Make sure the polarity is correct.

The remote control does not work, what to do?

First check the remote control battery (CR2025). Make sure there is no obstacle between the remote and the IR sensor. If the problem persists, try reconnecting the strip to power. If nothing works, contact customer service.

Can I connect multiple strips together?

Yes, you can connect multiple strips in series using joining connectors. Make sure the total power consumption does not exceed the adapter's capacity (e.g., for 4 meters, use a 24W adapter). Do not exceed the recommended maximum length of 5 meters per power source.

How to clean the LED strip?

Unplug the strip before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Never use chemical products, alcohol, or liquids. Do not rub too hard to avoid damaging the LEDs.

What to do if a part of the strip does not light up?

Check that the connections are firmly inserted and that the strip is not cut at an unintended location. If the dead section is after a cut, there may be a poor contact. Try to remove and reconnect the faulty part. If the problem persists, the strip is likely defective and must be replaced.

Can I use this strip outdoors?

No, this strip is not designed for outdoor use. Its IP20 rating does not protect against moisture or dust. Use it only indoors. For outdoor use, choose a strip with an IP65 rating or higher.
