What fuel should I use for the Fuxtec FXEB162?
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline (octane rating 90+) and quality 2-stroke engine oil, in a ratio of 40:1. For initial use, a 25:1 ratio may be adopted. Never use pure gasoline.
How to start the drill when cold?
Set the switch to 1, the choke to COLD START, press the primer bulb 8 to 10 times, then pull the starter cord until resistance is felt and pull quickly. Once started, move choke to WARM START and let it warm up at idle for 10 minutes.
What transmission oil to use and how to change it?
Use 85W/90 GL-5 oil. The gearbox contains approximately 180 ml. To change: drain used oil, rinse with 100 ml of fuel, then fill with 180 ml of new oil. Change every 20 hours of use.
What drill bits can I use with the FXEB162?
Drill bits with diameters from 60 to 300 mm can be used, but only those approved by the manufacturer. The supplied diameters are 100, 150 and 200 mm, with a length of 80 cm.
How to maintain the air filter?
Clean the air filter with water and soap (never fuel or benzene). Let it air dry before reinstalling. Do this every month or every 10 hours of use, more often in dusty environments.
What to do if the engine does not start?
Check the spark plug: clean deposits and adjust gap to 0.6-0.7 mm. Ensure fuel is fresh and mixture is correct. If no spark, the ignition coil may be faulty.
What are the essential safety precautions?
Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety shoes. Do not smoke while refueling. Work in a well-ventilated area. Keep bystanders at least 15 meters away.
How to store the drill after use?
Empty the fuel tank, run the engine until it stops to clean the carburetor, remove the spark plug and pour a teaspoon of 2-stroke oil into the cylinder, then replace the plug. Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
What is the warranty for the Fuxtec FXEB162?
The warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase. Wear parts and damage due to misuse are excluded. Keep your receipt.
Can I use the drill to drill into rock or concrete?
No, the FXEB162 is designed only for drilling in loose soil (clay, earth, sand). Do not use it on rock, concrete, or near underground pipes.
