How to pair a smartphone via Bluetooth with the dashboard?

From the Interactive Menu, select Settings then Bluetooth. Choose Pairing and select the device type (smartphone). The dashboard searches for devices; select yours and confirm the pairing code displayed on both screens.

What is the fuel tank capacity and what fuel to use?

The tank has a capacity of 21 L including 4 L reserve. Use unleaded premium gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 90 (RON+MON)/2, and a maximum of 10% ethanol (E10).

What engine oil is recommended and what is its capacity?

Use an oil SAE 15W-50 JASO MA2. Ducati recommends Shell Advance Ducati 15W-50 Fully Synthetic oil. The capacity is 3.1 L with filter.

How to adjust the front fork?

The Kayaba fork has three adjustments: rebound (screw on top of right tube), compression (screw on top of left tube), and spring preload (hexagonal knob). Turn clockwise to increase damping or preload. Set both tubes to the same positions.

What is the main maintenance schedule?

The First Service is at 1000 km, the Oil Service every 15,000 km, the Desmo Service every 30,000 km, and the Annual Service every 12 months. Consult the manual for the full list of operations.

How does the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) work?

The DQS up/down EVO allows shifting without operating the clutch. To upshift, keep the throttle open and press the selector upward; to downshift, close the throttle and press downward. The system briefly cuts the ignition.

What is the maximum weight the DesertX can carry?

The total curb weight with rider, passenger, luggage, and accessories must not exceed 465 kg. The maximum load on the front axle is 172 kg and on the rear axle is 293 kg.

How to activate the daytime running lights (DRL)?

The DRL can be set to Auto (automatic activation based on ambient light) or Manual. Use button (2) on the left switch to turn on/off manually. The corresponding indicator lights up on the dashboard.

What procedure to follow to start the engine in very cold weather?

For temperatures below 0°C, perform a KEY-ON, turn on the high beams for 3 to 5 minutes, then turn them off. Then start the engine by holding the start button for up to 5 seconds. If necessary, repeat the procedure.

What are the recommended tire pressures?

For the front tire: 2.0 bar (road, solo rider) or 1.8 bar (off-road, solo rider). For the rear tire: 2.2 bar (road, solo rider) or 1.8 bar (off-road, solo rider). Adjust for passenger and luggage according to the manual.
