Frequently Asked Questions - MultiGrill 25600 HAMILTON BEACH

How to use the MultiGrill 25600 as a griddle?
To use it as a griddle, plug in the appliance, insert the drip tray, and fully open the grill by lifting the lid vertically to unlock the hinge. Then lower the lid so it lies flat. Preheat to the desired temperature, then place the food. Turn halfway through cooking and remove with a plastic utensil.
How to cook bacon with the MultiGrill 25600?
Lift the back of the appliance and turn the stand adjustment knobs to the bacon position. Plug in the appliance and close the lid. Preheat to 400 °F (204 °C). Open the lid, place bacon strips on the lower plate, close, and cook for 7 to 10 minutes for crispy bacon. The grease drains into the drip tray.
How to clean the grill after use?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Press the release button to remove the top and bottom plates. Slide out the drip tray to empty it. Wash the plates and drip tray with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. Never use steel wool or abrasive cleaners to avoid damaging the non-stick coating. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
What to do if the grill does not heat?
Check that the grill is properly plugged in: the Power indicator (red) should light up. Make sure the electrical outlet works by plugging in another lamp. If the circuit tripped, check your breaker box. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Why are my foods not cooked enough?
Ensure the plates are correctly snapped in. Verify that the set temperature is adequate and let the grill preheat completely (green indicator on). Close the lid while cooking for better heat distribution. For meats, use a thermometer to check internal temperature.
Are the plates removable?
Yes, the top and bottom plates are removable. To remove them, press the release button located under each plate. They can then be hand washed. Do not put them in the dishwasher (not specified but hand washing recommended).
Can I use metal utensils on the plates?
No, do not use metal utensils to place or remove food or to clean the plates. Use only plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick coating.
How to avoid grease splatters?
To cook bacon or other fatty foods, close the lid while cooking. You can also tilt the grill to the bacon position so the grease flows into the drip tray. This reduces splatters and gives crispier food.
What is the warranty for the MultiGrill 25600?
The warranty is 5 years in Canada and 1 year in the USA for any defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, or misuse. Keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Can I use an extension cord with this appliance?
Yes, if the cord is too short, you may use an approved extension cord with electrical ratings equal to or greater (120 V, same power). Place the extension cord so that a child cannot pull it or trip over it. First plug the extension cord into the appliance, then into the wall outlet.
