How to set the water hardness on the Pelgrim GVW321XL dishwasher?

Open the door, turn on the appliance. Within 10 seconds, press the Eco and Express buttons simultaneously to access the settings menu. Navigate to the 'Water hardness' setting (2:00 to 2:09) and select the value corresponding to your hardness (in French or German degrees). Confirm by pressing the program button.

What to do if error code F54 appears?

Code F54 indicates overflow. Immediately shut off the water supply and turn off the dishwasher. Drain the water from the tub, clean the filters, and check the drain pump. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to add regeneration salt and rinse aid?

For salt: unscrew the cap of the salt compartment (under the lower basket), first pour 1 L of water, then add salt up to a maximum of 630 g. Screw back tightly. For rinse aid: open the distributor cover (near the detergent compartment), pour up to the 'max' mark. Close.

Why is the dishes not dry at the end of the cycle?

Activate the Auto Open option for better moisture removal. Check that the rinse aid reservoir is full and that the dosage is sufficient (setting 1:00 to 1:05 in the settings). Avoid overloading the dishwasher.

Can I use 3-in-1 tablets?

Yes, enable the TAB setting (3:01) in the settings menu. This disables the rinse aid dispenser and adapts the cycle. However, the salt compartment must still contain salt to protect the water softener.

How to clean the dishwasher filters?

Remove the coarse filter by lifting it by the handle, clean it under running water. Turn the fine filter ring counterclockwise to remove it, clean it. Reinstall by locking it properly.

What does the blinking light at the bottom of the door mean?

If the light blinks while the door is closed, an error has occurred. Refer to the Troubleshooting chapter to identify the error code. If it blinks with the door open, the cycle is paused (adding dishes possible).

How to unblock the drain pump?

Turn off and unplug the appliance. Remove the filters. Scoop out residual water. Remove the colored stopper to the right of the drain outlet. Turn the pump wheel by hand to remove debris. Put the stopper back in place.

Which programs to use for very dirty dishes?

Use the Intensive 70° program for very dirty pots and pans. For moderate dirt with dried residues, the Auto 45-65° program automatically adjusts temperature and duration.

Is it possible to start the dishwasher later?

Yes, select the Delay start option. Press the button repeatedly to set the delay from 1 to 24 hours. Close the door, the cycle will start automatically after the chosen delay.

Beforewashingforthefirsttime

Waterhardness

Inordertoachievegooddishwashingresults,thedishwasherneedssoftwater(waterwithlowmineral content).Hardwaterleavesawhitecoatingondishesandthedishwasher.

Checkingwaterhardness

WaterhardnessisspecifiedusingtheGermanwaterhardnessscale(°dH)ortheFrenchwaterhardness scale(°fH).

Awatersupplywithawaterhardnessinexcessof6°dH(9°fH)mustbesoftened. Thisisdone automaticallywiththeaidofthebuilt-inwatersoftener.Inorderforthewatersoftenertofunction optimally,itmustbeadjustedtothehardnessofthewatersupply.Onceyouhaveadjustedthewater softener,usedetergentandrinseaiddosessuitableforsoftwater.

Contactthelocalwaterworkstocheckthewaterhardnessinyourarea.

Makeanoteofthewaterhardness:

Ifthewaterhardnessexceeds50°dH(89°fH), were recommend connecting an external watersoftener.

Increasedconsumptionduringregeneration

Thedishwasher's built-in watersofteneris regularly regenerated to maintain its function. Regeneration extend the dishwash washing program and increases energy and water consumption. Just how often the dishwasher's watersofteneris regenerated depends on these selected settings.

Example: If the Ecoprogram is run with a water hardness of 14° dH ( 25° fH), the watersofteneris regenerated at regular intervals (after 6 dish washing cycles), energy consumption increases by 0.015 kWh and water consumption increases by 2.3 litres while the program time is extended by 3 minutes. Regeneration occurs during the program's mainwash.

Hardwaterleavesawhitecoatingondishesandinsidethedishwasher.Itisthereforeimportant that you select the right setting for the water softener! See Water hardness in the chapter Settings.

Loadingaffectstheresults

Loadthedishescarefullytoensurethebestwashinganddryingresultswiththelowestpossibleenergy andwaterconsumption.Giveyourdishwasherthebestchancetoreachandcleanallsurfaces,as wellastodrythedishesasthoroughlyaspossible.

• Alldirty surface should face inwards and downwards!
  •Dishesshouldnotbeplacedinoroneachother.
• Angle dishes with hollows, such as cups, so that the rinse water will run off. This is also important forplasticitems.
• Make sure small items cannot fall through the dishwasher basket; place them in the top cutlery tray.

The detergent compartment must bedry when adding detergent. There is one compartment for the prewash and one forth them in wash. If powder or liquid dish washer detergent is used, add small amount of the detergent to the prewash compartment. Contact the detergent manufacturer if you have questions about the detergent.

NOTE!

Useonlydishwasherdetergent!Washingupliquidmustnotbeusedasthefoamthatforms preventsthedishwasherfromoperatingeffectively.

Dishwashertablets

Halvethetabletifitisdifficulttoclosethedispenserlid.Thereisariskthatthedetergentwillnotbe releasedproperlyifthelidistightandwillnotopencorrectly.

NOTE!

Dishwashertabletsarenotrecommendedforshortprograms(lessthan75minutes).Usepowder orliquiddishwasherdetergentinstead.

Therearemanytypesofall-in-onedetergentsonthemarket.Readthroughthedirectionsforthese productscarefully.

Chapter Settings describes how to activate TAB (3-in-1/ All-in-one detergent). Thisprogramshouldberun(withnodishesinthemachine)usingnormaldishwasherdetergentor citricacid.Specialdishwashercleanersarealsoavailableonthemarket.Fortheremovaloflimescale deposits,seeDishwashertubinthechapterCareandcleaning.

Pressandholdtheoptionbuttonsfor Self-cleaningprogramtoactivatetheprogram. Self-cleaningprogramstartswhenthedooris closed.

-Selection

SpeedWash

This options shorten the program time, but uses more energy and water.

Thedishwasherdooropensautomatically, whichimprovesthedryingresults.Waituntilthedishwasher indicate that the program has ended and the disheshave cooled before unloading the dishwasher. Extrahygiene

This option is intended for situations where demand on hygiene are especially high, such as when dishwashing baby bottles and cutting boards. The temperature is increased in both them again wash and the final rinse.

If the dish washing program was not finished, the interrupted program continues when power is restored.

NOTE!

During drying, the program is interrupted if the power is cut through the door is open for more than 2 minutes.

Oncetheprogramhasfinished

The end of the program is indicated by one short signal from the buzzer. The chapter Settings describes howtochangethisfunction.

Removeblockages

5. Turn the pump wheel located behind the drainage pump stop by hand. Carefully remove any items.

   7.Plugthemachineinagain.

If the dish washer still does not start and a whirringsound is heard, the overflow protection has been activated.

Drainageconnection

Thisdishwasherissuitableforinstallinginaraisedrecess(toattainanergonomicworkingheight). Thismeansthatthedishwashercanbeplacedsothatthedrainagehoserunstoalowerlevelthan thebottomofthedishwasher,suchasbyroutingitdirectlytoafloordrain. Thedishwasherisfitted withanintegratedanti-siphondevicetopreventthemachinefrombeingemptiedofwaterduringthe washcycle.
