How to turn the XR 8A30 speaker on and off?

To turn the speaker on, press and hold the ⏻ (Power) button for about 3 seconds. To turn off, press and hold the same button again.

How to pair the speaker via Bluetooth?

Turn on the speaker and press the M (MODE) button until you hear a notification sound. On your device (smartphone, tablet), search for Bluetooth devices and select XR 8A30. If prompted, enter the PIN code 0000.

What to do if Bluetooth does not connect?

If pairing fails, remove the speaker from your phone's Bluetooth list, restart the speaker, and repeat the search. Make sure no other device is already connected.

How to use the TWS function (stereo connection of two speakers)?

Turn off Bluetooth on your phone. Turn on both speakers and put them in Bluetooth mode. On one of them, press and hold the M button until you hear a confirmation sound. The two speakers are then connected to each other. On your phone, search for XR 8A30 and connect.

How to charge the speaker?

Use the provided USB Type-C cable. Plug the Type-C end into the charging port (10) and the other end into a computer USB port or a USB charger (5 V, 1 A not included). The red light turns on during charging and turns off when finished. Do not charge for more than 4 hours.

How long does a full charge take?

The charging time depends on the charger used. With a standard USB charger (5 V, 1 A), a full charge takes about 3 to 4 hours. Do not exceed 4 hours of charging to avoid any risk.

How to play music via a micro SD card or USB stick?

Insert a micro SD card (contacts facing up) into the slot (11) or a USB stick into the USB input (9). The device automatically starts playback. Use the + and - buttons to change tracks, and the ⏻ button for pause/resume.

How to use the AUX input?

Connect the Jack/Jack audio cable (provided) to the AUX IN jack (8) and the other end to the audio source (phone, computer...). The speaker automatically switches to AUX mode. Playback is controlled from the connected device.

How to clean the speaker?

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the surface. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. Avoid liquid entering the inside of the device.

What to do if the speaker does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged. Plug the speaker into a charger via the USB Type-C cable. If the red light does not turn on, try another cable or charger. If the problem persists, contact the TREVI authorized support center.

FUNZIONE TWS (TRUE WIRELESS STEREO)

Do not use power supply with a voltage higher than 5V, cause damage to the player.

• Listen at high volume for long periods of time, may damage your hearing.
• Avoid using it in the following cases:

- Near strong heat sources, such as central heating plants or stoves.

• In very humid places such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc.
• In very dusty places.
• In places subject to strong vibrations.

• Position the appliance in such a way that there is always enough room for free air circulation (at least 5cm).

• Do not block the air inlets.

• If any liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately from the socket and take it to the nearest TREVI authorised service centre.
• Before switching on the appliance, always check that the power cable and the connection cable are properly installed.
• No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on this.
• The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and no object filled with water, such as vases, should be placed on the unit.
• Keep this manual for future reference.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

For cleaning it is recommended to use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents or abrasive substances.

IMPORTANT

The construction of this device guarantees long flawless operation. However, if come some problem, you should consult your nearest authorized service center.

TREVI pursues a policy of continuous research and development. Therefore, the products may show different characteristics from those described.

WARNING FOR A CORRECT USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

• Recharge the battery in an ambient temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
• Don't recharge more than the suitable period to prevent the risk of overheating and burst.
• Recharging the battery over the suitable period or an extended period of inactivity may reduce battery duration.
• Rechargeable battery is liable to wear and tear and its performance will reduce gradually.
• To extend the duration of the battery use it when is completely charged up to the complete discharging, then recharge it fully before use it again. Recharge a battery not completely consumed, will result in reduced duration. In this case, repeat the full charging/discharging cycle many times.
• Avoid recharge the battery for the whole night.

CHARGING

The speaker must be recharged when switched Off.

1. Using the supplied USB/ Type- C cable, connect the side with the Type-C to the socket (10) of the speaker and the other end to the USB port of a PC or USB charger (5V — 1A not included);
2. The indicator light, located near the socket, will light up in Red, when the charge is complete it will switch Off.

BASIC OPERATION

To switch On the speaker, press and hold button (5) for 3 seconds.

Press the M button (7) to choose from:

• Bluetooth mode.
• Micro SD mode, if present a micro SD type memory in the slot (11) it will start playback of the music automatically.
• USB Mode, if present a USB-type memory in the slot (9), the device will start playing songs automatically.

VOLUME ADJUSTMENT

Press and hold the -/ Volume - (3) button or +/ Volume + (2) button to adjust the volume.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION PAIRING DEVICES

1. Place the speaker near the Bluetooth device to be paired;
2. Turn on the speaker and press the M button (7) until you hear a notification sound;
3. Follow the instructions of your device to search for the speaker;
4. Search and pair the speaker named "XR 8A30" and enter the PIN "0000" if requested;
5. Once paired, the device will emit a notification sound and it will be possible to play the music.

Notes:

• The Bluetooth speaker only works with a connection at a time, the connection can not be interrupted during normal operation.
• When the Bluetooth pairing with external devices fails, delete another Bluetooth device in the list of connections, restart the Bluetooth speaker and search for the signal again.

COMMANDS IN BLUETOOTH MODE

• To start music playback, press button (5) or start it from your device;
• Press once the + button (2) to skip to the next track, press once the - button (3) to skip to the previous track;
• Press ⏻ button (5) to pause, press it again to resume music playback;
  In case of connection with a telephone, when a call is received, a sound warning will be heard.
• When you receive a call, press once button (5) to open the call and activate the speaker phone feature, press again to end a call.
• Long press ⏻ button (5) to reject a call.

This function allows you to pair 2 speakers (to be purchased separately) for stereo music playback; This feature is only available in Bluetooth mode with compatible devices.

1. Turn Off the speaker function on your mobile or other bluetooth devices;
2. Turn On two speakers and choose bluetooth mode;
3. Press and hold the M button (7) of either speaker, a sound is heard confirming the TWS function opened, after few seconds two speakers connected;
4. Using your device to search the pairing name "XR 8A30" and enter the PIN "0000" if required, music is ready to play for the two units together after paired.

Note: In case of non-pairing between the 2 speakers, switch Off both devices and repeat steps 1, 2 and 3.

2. Insert a micro SD card into the slot (11) holding the contacts facing upwards, or insert a USB memory;
3. Playback will start automatically;

4. Press once the + button (2) to skip to the next track, press once the - button (3) to skip to the previous track;

5. Press ⏻ button (5) to pause, to resume playback press again.

OPERATION AUX IN

1. Connect the Jack/Jack audio cable (supplied) to the AUX jack (8) and the other end to the external device. The device will automatically go to AUX mode;
2. Start from the external device playback.

LIGHTING EFFECTS SELECTION

Press the button (4) several times to select the desired lighting effect or to switch Off completely.

INFORMATION ON THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES

Warning: the operation of removal and disposal is reserved to technical personnel!

Whatever type of battery used up, it should never be placed in household waste, fire or water. Each type of used battery must be recycled or disposed of at an appropriate dedicated collection points.

To remove the battery:

1. Remove the cover grille above the speakers.
2. Unscrew all the screws present and separate the front part of the cabinet from the rear one;
3. Identify the battery, remove it and replace it with one of the same characteristics and capacity.

Precautions for correct disposal of the product.

The symbol shown on the equipment indicates that waste must be disposed of in “separate collection” and so the product must not be disposed of together with urban waste.

The user must take the product to special “separate waste collection centres” provided by local government, or deliver it to the retailer against the purchase of a new product.

Separate collection of waste and subsequent treatment, recycling and disposal operations promotes the production of equipment with recycled materials and limits negative effects on the environment and on health caused by improper handling of waste.

Illegal disposal of the product leads to the enforcement of administrative penalties.
