Ground Instructions

This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

Radio Interference

  2. When there is interference, it may be reduced or eliminated by taking the following measures:

1) Clean door and sealing surface of the microwave
2) Reorient the receiving antenna of radio or television.
3) Relocate the microwave with respect to the receiver.
4) Move the microwave away from the receiver.

Kitchen Utensils

CAUTION - Personal Injury Hazard

Tightly-closed containers could explode. Closed containers should be opened and plastic pouches should be pierced before cooking. See the instructions on "Materials you can use in microwave and materials to avoided in microwave."

There may be certain non-metallic kitchen utensils that are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt, you can test the kitchen utensil in question following the procedure below.

Kitchen Utensil Test:

  1. Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml) along with the utensil in question.
  2. Cook on maximum power for 1 minute.
  3. Carefully feel the utensil. If the empty utensil is warm, do not use it for microwave cooking.
  4. Do not exceed 1 minute cooking time.

A. Dimensions that are shown in Figure 1 must be used. Given dimensions provide minimum clearance. Locate electrical outlet in the shaded area in the upper left-hand corner of the cutout. See Figure 3
B. Contact surface must be solid and level. Pay special attention to the floor on which the microwave drawer will sit. The floor of the opening should be constructed of plywood strong enough to support the weight of the microwave (about 100 pounds).
C. Check location where the microwave drawer will be installed for proper electrical supply
D. Your microwave can be built into a cabinet or wall by itself or under a gas or electric wall microwave.
E. Be sure that the clearance of the floor between the wall microwave and the microwave drawer is a minimum of 2-inches.
F. The microwave interior will easily accommodate a 9'' × 13'' oblong dish or a bag of microwave popcorn.

Figures 1 and 2 contain many Microwave Printer measurements for reference when planning the printer's location. This Microwave Printer can be installed below any electric or gas wall microwave.

*Can also be installed using an electrical outlet in an adjacent cabinet within the area where tire provided electrical cord can reach. Power cord access hole in cabinet should be a minimum I 1/2" diameter hole and debarred of all sharp edges.

Note: Always allow sufficient power cord length to the electrical outlet to prevent tension. Always check electrical codes for requirements.

ELECTRICAL OUTLET

To reduce the risk of tipping of the drawer, the Anti-Tip block must be properly installed located 14-13/16" inches above the floor on which the Microwave Printer will sit. The 6-inch Anti-Tip block must be provided by the installer. See Figures 1 and 3.

The Anti-Tip block prevents serious injury that might result from spilled hot liquids. If the Microwave.
Drawer is ever moved to a different location, the Anti-Tip block must also be moved and installed.

When installed to the wall make sure that the screws completely penetrate the dry wall and are secured in wood or metal so that the block is totally stable. When fastening, be sure that the screws do not penetrate electrical wiring or plumbing. The electrical requirements are a 120 volt 60Hz , AC only, I5 amp. Or more protected electrical supply. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only this appliance be provided.

The drawer is equipped with a 3-prong grounding plug, It must be plugged into a wall receptacle that is properly installed and grounded. Should you only have 2-prong outlet, have a qualified electrician install a correct wall receptacle.

Note: If you have any questions about the grounding or electrical Instructions, consult a qualified electrician or service person.

*Can also be installed using an electrical outlet in an adjacent cabinet within the area where the provided electrical cord can reach. Always check electrical codes, for requirements.

  1. Place the drawer adjacent to the wall or cabinet opening. Plug the power supply cord into the electrical outlet.
  2. Carefully guide the drawer into the prepared opening. Avoid pinching the cord between the microwave and the wall.
  3. Slide the drawer all the way until the mounting flange is flush with the face of the cabinet. See Figure 5.
  4. Open the drawer. Using the 4 holes on the drawer as a template, pre drill the cabinet using a 1/16" bit. See Figure 5.
  5. Secure the drawer with the 4 screws supplied. See Figure 6.

HANDLE INSTALLATION

  1. Locate the holes on the underside of each handle base.
  2. Using a Allen/hex key, turn counter-clockwise to loosen both the left and right set screws.
  3. Carefully remove the handle. If installing an handle, carefully place the new handle on the mounting studs. Then, using the Allen/hex key, tighten the left and right set screws in a clockwise motion until the handle is firmly in place.

1. Clock Setting:

(1) Press "TIMER/CLOCK" button twice. "12:00" will flash.
(2) Press number keys to set the clock, it should be within 1:00~12:59.
(3) Press "START+30SEC." Or "TIMER/CLOCK" to finish the setting.

Note: In the process of clock setting, if the "STOP/CANCEL" button is pressed or if there is no operation within 1 minute, the microwave will go back to former setting automatically.

2. Kitchen Timer:

(1) Press "TIMER/CLOCK" button once. "00:00" will display.
(2) Press number keys to set the clock, it should be within 00:01-99:99.

4.Add 30Sec:

(1) In waiting state, instant cooking at 100% power level with 30 seconds' cooking time can be started by pressing "START/+30SEC". Each press on the same button will increase cooking time by 30 seconds.
(2) During microwave and defrost by time, "START/+30SEC." Can be pressed to increase cooking time. Each press will increase 30 seconds.

5. Weight Defrost Function:

(1) Press "DEFROST WEIGHT" button. Screen displays the defrost icon. And "0.0 lbs" will light.
(2) Press number buttons to input the weight to be defrosted. The input weight should be between 0.1-6.0 lbs.
(3) Press "START/+30SEC." To start defrosting. Buzzer sounds once.

Note: The buzzer will sound twice to remind you of turning over the food during defrosting.

6. Time Defrost Function:

(1) Press "DEFROST TIME" button. Screen displays defrost icon. And "00:00" will light.
(2) Press number buttons to enter the defrosting time between 00:01-99:99.
(3) Press "START/+30SEC." To start defrosting.

Note: The defrosting power level is PL03.It cannot be changed. The buzzer will sound twice to remind you of turning over the food during defrosting.

7.Popcorn:

(1) Press "POPCORN" to start cooking directly.

8.Sensor Reheat:

(1) In waiting state, press "Sensor Reheat" once," Sr-1" will display.
(2) Press "Sensor Reheat" repeatedly or press "1-4" to choose the menu.
(3) Press "START+ 30SEC." To start cooking.

13.Multiple Cook:

(1) In waiting state, press "DEFROST WEIGHT" once,"0.0 lbs" will display.

(4) Press number keys to set the cook time, it should be within 00:01-99:99.

Note: The defrost function only could be one stage of the multiple cook. Two stage cook can be set at most.

  1. Buzzer On/Off:
    To enter silent mode Press "MUTE" button. Screen displays silent icon. To cancel silent mode In silent mode,press "MUTE" button. The Buzzer will sound twice.
  2. Lock function for children:

Lock: In waiting state, press "STOP/CANCEL" for 3 seconds, the microwave will enter into the children-lock state. Screen will display "Loc".

Lock quitting: In locked state, press "STOP/CANCEL" for 3 seconds to release the lock. Screen will display "UnLo".

  1. Open/Close the oven door:

To open the oven door: In the oven door closed state, press "OPEN" once to open the oven door.
- To close the oven door: In the oven door opened state, press "CLOSE" once to close the oven door.

Note: During the oven door automatically opens by pressing "OPEN", pressing "OPEN" or "CLOSE" will automatically stop opening the door, and then pressing the "OPEN" or "CLOSE" button again will open or close the oven door.

  1. Eco mode:

To enter Eco mode when the microwave door is closed, in waiting state, if there is not any operations in 1 minute. To cancel Eco mode In Eco mode, open the door or press any key to cancel it.
18. Inquiring Function:

If the clock has been set, the current time will display for three seconds by pressing "TIMER/CLOCK" in the cooking state.

What this limited warranty covers:

The Warranty coverage provided by Forno Appliances in this statement applies exclusively to the original Forno appliance ("Product") sold to the consumer ("Purchaser") by an authorized Forno dealer/distributor/retailer, purchased and installed in the United States or Canada, and which has always remained within the original country of purchase (the United States or Canada). Warranty coverage is activated on the date of the Product's original retail purchase and has a duration of two (2) years.

Warranty coverage is non-transferrable. In the event of replacement of parts or of the entire product, the replacement Product (or parts) shall assume the remaining original Warranty activated with the original retail purchase document. This Warranty shall not be extended with respect to such replacement. Forno Appliances will repair or replace any component/part which fails or proves defective due to materials and/or workmanship within 2 years of the date of the original retail purchase and under conditions of ordinary residential, non-commercial use. Repair or replacement will be free of charge, including labor at standard rates and shipping expenses. Purchaser is responsible for making the Product reasonably accessible for service. Repair service must be performed by a Forno Authorized Service company during normal working hours.

Important

Retain proof of original purchase to establish warranty period. Forno's liability on any claim of any kind, with respect to the goods and/or services provided, shall in no event exceed the value of the goods or service or part there of which has given rise to the claim.

30-Day Cosmetic Warranty

The Purchaser must inspect the product at the time of delivery. Forno warrants that the Product is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days from date of the original retail purchase of the Product.

This coverage includes:
- Paint blemishes
- Chips
- Macroscopic finish defects

Cosmetic warranty does NOT cover:

  • Issues resulting from incorrect transport, handling and/or installation (e.g.: dents, broken, warped or deformed structures or components, cracked or otherwise damaged glass components);
  • Slight color variations on painted/enamed components;
  • Differences caused by natural or artificial lighting, location or other analogous factors; > stains/ corrosion/discoloration caused by external substances and/or environmental factors; > labor costs, display, floor, B-stock, out-of-box, "as is" appliances and demo units.

How to receive service

To receive warranty services, the Purchaser must contact the Forno Support department in order to determine the problem and the required service procedures. Troubleshooting with a customer service representative will be necessary before moving forward with the service. Model number, serial number and date of original retail purchase will be requested.

Warranty Exclusions: What Is Not Covered.

  • Use of the Product in any non-residential, commercial application.
  • Use of the Product for anything other than its intended purpose.
    Repair services provided by anyone other than a Forno Authorized Service agency.
  • Damages or repair services to correct services provided by unauthorized parties or the use of unauthorized parts.
  • Installation not in accordance with local/state/ city/county fire codes, electrical codes, gas codes, plumbing codes, building codes, laws or regulations.
  • Defects or damage due to improper storage of the Product.
  • Defects, damage or missing parts on products sold out of the original factory packaging or from displays. > Service calls or repairs to correct an incorrect installation of the Product and/or related accessories.
  • Replacement of parts/service calls to connect, convert or otherwise repair the electrical wiring and/or gas line in order to properly use the product.
  • Replacement of parts/service calls to provide instructions and information on the use of the Product.
  • Replacement of parts/service calls to correct issues arising from the product being used in a manner other than what is normal and customary for residential use.
  • Replacement of parts/service calls due to wear and tear of components such as seals, knobs, pan supports, shelving, cutlery baskets, buttons, touch displays, scratched or broken ceramic-glass tops.

  • Replacement of parts/service calls for lack of/improper maintenance, including but not limited to: build up of residues, stains, scratches, discoloration, corrosion.

  • Defects and damages arising from accidents, alteration, misuse, abuse or improper installation.
  • Defects and damages arising from Product transport, logistics and handling. Inspection of the product must be made at time of delivery. Following receipt and inspection, the selling dealer/delivery company must be notified of any issues arising from handling, transport and logistics.
  • Defects and damages arising from external forces beyond the control of Forno Appliances, including but not limited to wind, rain, sand, fires, floods, mudslides, freezing temperatures, excessive moisture or extended exposure to humidity, power surges, lightning, structural failures surrounding the appliance and other acts of God.
  • Products whose serial number has been altered/damaged/tampered with. In no case shall Forno be held liable or responsible for damage to surrounding property, including furniture, cabinetry, flooring, panels, and other structures surrounding the Product. Forno is neither liable nor responsible for the Product if it is located in a remote area or an area where certified trained technicians are not reasonably available. Purchaser must bear any transportation and delivery costs of the Product to the nearest Authorized Service Center or the additional travel expenses of a certified trained technician

THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTY OTHER THAN THOSE LISTED AND DESCRIBED ABOVE, AND NO WARRANTYES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE THAT SHALL APPLY AFTER THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIODS STATED ABOVE, AND NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE GIVEN BY ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION WITH RESPECT TO THIS PRODUCT SHALL BE BINDING ON FORNO. FORNO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, FAILURE TO REALIZE SAVINGS OR OTHER BENEFITS, TIME AWAY FROM WORK, MEALS, LOSS OF FOOD OR BEVERAGES, TRAVELING OR HOTEL EXPENSES, EXPENSES TO RENT OR PURCHASE APPLIANCES, REMODELING/CONSTRUCTION EXPENSES IN EXCESS OF DIRECT DAMAGES WHICH ARE UNDENIABLY CAUSED EXCLUSIVELY BY FORNO OR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED, AND EVEN IF FORNO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
