How to connect the Blu-ray player to the TV?

Use an HDMI cable to connect the player to the TV's HDMI input. Plug in the power cord, turn on the TV, and select the appropriate video input. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

What types of discs can I play?

This player supports BD-Video, BD-RE, BD-R, DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW, Audio CD, and CD-R/RW. It also plays video, audio, and image files from USB storage devices.

How to perform a firmware update?

Connect the player to the Internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Go to Home > Setup > Player Settings > System > Firmware Update. Follow the instructions. Do not unplug the device during the update.

What to do if the remote control does not work?

Check that the batteries are inserted correctly (observe polarity). If another Panasonic device interferes, change the remote code following the instructions. Move closer to the sensor (max 7 m).

Can I use the player to watch Netflix?

Yes, press the Netflix button on the remote to directly access the app. Make sure the player is connected to the Internet.

How to reset the player to factory settings?

Turn on the device. Simultaneously press OK, the yellow button, and the blue button on the remote for more than 5 seconds. '00 RET' appears. Press ▶ until '08 FIN', then press OK for 5 seconds.

What files can I play from a USB stick?

The player supports MKV, MP4, MPEG2, Xvid, JPEG, MPO, AAC, ALAC, DSD, FLAC, MP3, WAV, WMA files. The maximum USB device capacity is 4 TB.

How to use the Miracast function?

Press the Miracast button on the remote. Enable screen sharing on your compatible smartphone or tablet. Select the player from the device list.

Why doesn't the player play a DVD purchased abroad?

The player respects region codes. For DVD, the code is 2 (Europe) or 0 (all regions). Check the DVD region code; it must match.

How to save energy in standby?

Disable Quick Start in the settings. Standby consumption then drops to about 0.5 W instead of 5.5 W. You can also unplug the device if not used for a long time.

AC mains lead

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or product damage, ensure that the power supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on this unit. Insert the mains plug fully into the socket outlet. Do not pull, bend, or place heavy items on the lead. Do not handle the plug with wet hands. Hold onto the mains plug body when disconnecting the plug. Do not use a damaged mains plug or socket outlet.

The mains plug is the disconnecting device. Install this unit so that the mains plug can be unplugged from the socket outlet immediately.

Press to switch the unit from on to standby mode or vice versa. In standby mode, the unit still consumes a small amount of power.

STEP 1: Connecting to a TV

• This unit consumes a small amount of AC power (see 8) even when turned off in standby mode. For energy conservation, the unit should be disconnected if you will not be using it for an extended period of time.

Use category 5 or above straight LAN cables (STP) when connecting to peripheral devices.

STEP 3: Settings

Turn on the TV and select the appropriate video input.

Press [O/I].

Follow the on-screen instructions to continue with the settings.

STEP 4: Playback

Insert the media.

Press [OK] or [triangle, nabla, triangleleft, triangleright] to select the item.

• If there are any other items, repeat this step.

Operations during playback

The following functions may not work depending on the media and contents.

Stop	Press [■STOP].	The stopping point is memorized. Resume play function Press [▶PLAY] to restart from this point. ·The point is cleared if the media is removed.
Pause	Press [■IPAUSE].	Press [■IPAUSE] again or [▶PLAY] to restart play.
Search	While playing, press [SEARCH←] or [SEARCH►].	The speed increases up to 5 steps. ·Press [▶PLAY] to revert to normal playback speed.
Slow motion	While paused, press [SEARCH►].
Skip	While playing or paused, press [↓←] or [▶→].	Skip to the title, chapter or track.

Firmware updates
