Specific Safeguards
- To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.
- Be careful not to get burned by the steam.
- Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
- Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks. Only use the carafe with this appliance. Use carefully as the carafe is very fragile.
- Never use your coffee maker without water in it.
- Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.

TO MAKE COFFEE
- Open the lid and fill the reservoir with as much water as you want to make cups of coffee. Put ground coffee into the permanent filter or a paper filter suitable for making coffee.
- Close the lid.
- Turn on the coffee maker and the pilot light will illuminate to indicate that the coffee maker is on.
- After the filtering process, turn off the coffee maker and remove the carafe.
You can leave the coffee maker on if you want to keep the coffee hot for up to 30 minutes.
RECOMENDATIONS TO MAKE A GOOD CUP OF COFFEE
To give your coffee a better flavor and aroma, we recommend that you use recently ground coffee. The coffee should be medium ground and should not be too fine. Keep your coffee in a dry place. Once the coffee packet has been opened, keep it well closed in the refrigerator so as to maintain its aroma. Although the hotplate will keep the coffee hot, it is best to drink your coffee as soon as it is made.
REMOVAL OF MINERAL DEPOSITS
To keep your coffee maker working efficiently, you must clean the mineral deposits left by the water periodically according to the quality of the water in your area and the frequency of use of the appliance. Follow the following steps for descaling:
- With the tank empty, pour vinegar and water in a proportion of 3 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Under no circumstances include coffee in the mixture.
- Press the power button and boil the vinegar water mixture.
- Repeat this process as many times as necessary and remove the vinegar water from the tank.
- Once the process is finished, fill the tank with distilled water and boil it until the vinegar smell disappears.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Disconnect the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth only.
- The carafe and the filter can be cleaned with warm water, some washing-up liquid and a soft brush.
