How to use the Tefal JB1011 lint remover?

Place the fabric flat on a stable surface. Make sure the protective grid is properly screwed on. Insert 2 AA batteries into the compartment. Turn on the device and pass it gently over the fabric in regular motions. Never use on worn clothing to avoid injury.

What types of fabric can I treat?

The device is suitable for garments such as sweaters, blouses, sweatshirts, as well as home fabrics like curtains, sofas, cushions and carpets. Do not use on skin, hair or animal fur.

Can I use the device on clothing I am wearing?

No, it is strictly forbidden to use the device on worn clothing. This could cause serious injury and damage the device. Always lay the garment flat before use.

How to replace the batteries?

Open the battery compartment located under the device. Insert 2 AA (LR6) 1.5V batteries respecting the indicated polarities. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Close the compartment.

How to clean the device?

Unscrew the protective grid and remove the collection bin. Use the provided brush to clean the blades and the inside of the bin. Never immerse the device in water. Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth.

What if the blades do not rotate?

Check that the protective grid is fully screwed on. Make sure the batteries are correctly inserted and have charge. If the problem persists, clean the blades and support to remove stuck lint.

Why is the motor running slowly?

This may be due to weak batteries (replace them), a full collection bin (empty it), or lint blocking the blade support (clean it with the brush). Also ensure the grid is properly screwed on and not deformed.

How to empty the lint collection bin?

Unscrew the protective grid and remove the transparent bin. Empty its contents into a trash can. Be careful not to damage the bin. Replace it and screw the grid back on.

Is the device safe for children?

This device should not be used by children without supervision. The blades are very sharp. Keep the device out of reach of children and animals. If used by a child, close supervision is necessary.

What if the protective grid is deformed?

If the grid is deformed, do not use the device as it may reduce efficiency and damage the blades. Contact an authorized technician for replacement. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

When installing new batteries, refer to the polarity symbols inside the battery compartment.

Use batteries of the type recommended for this appliance, i.e. 2 x AA (LR6) 1.5V ---. Never use rechargeable batteries

Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

Do not short cut the battery terminal.
